@@fusion1203 Ballista ammo is marginally stronger, but the ammo is multitudes more valuable than PB ammo. We route cells very particularly to ensure that ballista boosts occur when we need them to for optimal speed. Were this to be something like Horde Mode where movement tech isn’t necessarily of utmost importance - we use double dblades instead since the ammo-to-damage ratio is beyond anything you can receive with punchboosting ballista. And if you watch some modern runs, we do punchboost ballista for movement :) each punchboost you save about 0.2 seconds, all across the run that’s significant time, very worth

@@RacingSnails64 talked to a dev, it’s likely this happens because the dblade chargeup timer doesn’t end for a little bit even after you shoot the initial dblade. This means that if you can find a way to shoot dblade or arba without pressing fire, you could theoretically trigger dblade to fire twice, or if a potential new method is found, many many many more times.

@@austin.valentine This tech is quite different from dksms. Instead of negating the chargeup time(we can’t do that in eternal yet), we’re simply utilizing the charge timer twice before it completey dissipates.

@@MuteD6 Yeah, I know they aren’t the exactly the same, but I only say that because dkms was viewed as a notable game breaking thing, and they were trying to be careful about those types of exploits for this weapon. Even though in this case you still have to charge the first shot, you are still getting a second shot with no charge, so it is similar to dksms in that sense, and in the sense that it can trivialize many encounters that are supposed to be challenging. You only need 1 ice bomb to get 2 necessary DB shots in a congested area rather than having to engage some other way during ice bomb cool down to get another DB charge.

@@austin.valentine understandable. I talked directly with a dev at QuakeCon during our speedrun showcase there, he was responsible for the slayers hands and was a very cool guy. On the topic of double dblade, what he told me was that the reason it works isn’t because you get a shot of for nothing although that would be cool, it’s because the charge for dblade does not fully reset to 0 even after you fire the initial shot, so swapping the mods in a certain way triggers the shots again. Yes, this means that potentially if we can find an alternate method to triggering the shots without the need to swap weapons (i.e only using inputs or something) you could feasibly just keep spamming dblade until the timer runs out, shit is crazy.

@@RaidenWithBiden The mods work with the corresponding mods in the same arsenal slots, ie dblade works with the bottom slot mods like rl and mm and arba working with top slot mods like remote det and pb, more info in the doc

Not everyone likes the high yapping aspect of your comment get over yourself Eternal's movement is also no more vertical than 2016 was, I would argue 2016 was way more vertical in terms of movement than Eternal is with much more high climbing and huge drops, I'm calling out people who complain about features of the game that they say aren't in previous games, when they very much are, or extremely minute problems blown out of proportion like the ammo issue.
