Different types of refractive errors or spectacle power related problems have been discussed in this video. There can be mainly three types of refractive errors. Hypermetropia, myopia, and astigmatism. There is another spectacle related problem that is called astigmatism. But it is considered Physiological or age related.

There are mainly two reasons because of which our vision may reduce. One is Eye Diseases inducing injury to the Eye. The other is Refractive Error, meaning defect of eye sight because of some other problem in Eyes, as a result of which we need assistance in the form of spectacle for restoring Vision. There are mainly three (3) types of Refractive Error. 1. Hypermetropia - meaning need of Plus Lenses, 2. Myopia - meaning need of Minus Lenses, and 3. Astigmatism - meaning need of a special type of lenses, called Cylindrical Lenses. There is another condition, called Presbyopia, in which there is difficulty in reading or near work. It usually starts around 40 years of age. In this video, I have explained each condition in details. Please do not forget to watch my other videos related to Eye and Eye Sight. আমার চোখের অসুবিধা আছে আমি নেপাল গিয়ে ডাক্তার দেখিয়েছিলাম
ডাক্তার বলেছেন সব সময় চশমা লাগাতে আর আমার refractive eror হয়েছে বলেছে আমার চোখের পাওয়ার right side a -২.৫ r left side ১.৭৫ এটা কি ঠিক হবে না আমার কিছু করতে হবে দয়া করে বলুন আমার বয়স 14
আর ডাক্তার বলেছেন মোবাইল থেকে হয়েছে। ছয় মাস পর আমার যেতে বলেছে।।আপনি বলুন প্লীজ কী করবো।।
এখন কিছু করতে হবে না। এখন শুধু 6 মাস বাদে বাদে রেগুলার চোখ পরীক্ষা করতে থাক। পাওয়ার যদি বেড়ে যায়, তাহলেও চিন্তা করবে না। চশমা সব সময় পড়বে।
যখন তোমার বয়স 25 বছর হয়ে যাবে, তখন রিফ্রাক্টিভ সার্জারি করিয়ে নেবে।
তখন পাওয়ার কমে যাবে।
স্যার আমার বয়স ২০।এবং আমাকে ডাক্তার চশমা দিয়েছে ২ মাস হয়েছে।আমার দুই চোখের পাওয়ার হচ্ছে -০.৭৫।এখন আমি কি রেগুলার চশমা পড়লে চোখ কি আগের মতো ঠিক হয়ে যাবে।
Definite হয়ে বলা যায় না। রেগুলার চশমা পরলে চোখের অনেক উপকার হবে।

মাইনাস পাওয়ার হলে কমে যাওয়ার chance খুব কম। মাইনাস পাওয়ার সাধারণত বেড়ে যায়।

আপনার চোখে চশমার পাওয়ার থাকার সম্ভাবনা বেশি। কিন্তু চশমা ছাড়া অন্য কোনো রোগ ও হতে পারে। সেটা চোখ না পরীক্ষা করে বলা যাবে না। সবচেয়ে ভাল হয় আপনি একজন চক্ষু বিশেষজ্ঞ এর কাছে গিয়ে আপনার চোখ পরীক্ষা করিয়ে নিন।

মাথা ধরলে, সব সময় যে পাওয়ার বেড়ে যাবে এই রকম কোনও কথা মেই। আপনার যদি সিলিন্দ্রিকাল পাওয়ার থাকে তো সিলিন্ডারের অঙ্গেল বা এক্সিস ও বদল হতে পারে। ডাক্তারবাবু যখন বলেছেন যে আপনার চোখের আর কোনও সমস্যা মেই, তখন এত চিন্তা করছেন কেন? দরকার হলে আর একবার পরীক্ষা করিয়ে পাওয়ার চেঞ্জ করে নিন।

মাইনাস পাওয়ার কম বয়সে হলে বেড়ে যাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা ই বেশি। প্রতি ছয় মাস বাদে পরীক্ষা করাবেন। 25 বছরের পর ল্যাসিক অপারেশন করিয়ে নেবেন।

চোখের ভিতরে যে নরমাল লেন্স থাকে তার পাওয়ার হয় 16 to 18 D.
