- The super shoes are going to head. We have the Nike Vaporfly Next% 3 vs Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro. This is a heavy-weight comparison of my newest super shoes.
I will also be giving shout-outs to my favourite UA-camrs and for the first one, I had to start with the big hitters, and please make sure you subscribe to...
@kofuzi | @BenIsRunning | @EDDBUD and last but certainly not least @BenParkes
Lastly, what are your views on these super shoes? Which one are you voting for?

I love those three guys too. Glad to see you on this platform. Great content.
They truly inspired what I do. Great people and great UA-camrs. Thank you so much Lawrence and it’s great to be here. I appreciate the feedback and thank you for joining me.
Fantastic comparison. And very interesting. Definitely two super shoes with prices to match. It's good to see Mizuno step up their efforts and make a really great shoe again. Especially so long after Mizuno being stuck in a rut.
You’ve hit the nail in the head! The underdogs are coming up and making their presence felt. I was blown away by this shoe and felt it needed a spotlight. What better shine than next to the juggernaut that is the Vaporfly
@@AubreyRunning very true and well said mate. Mizuno actually makes really good quality gear. Anyone familiar with their golf ⛳ clubs or Rugby 🏉 and football boots ⚽ knows this. Just unfortunately their running has become really stagnant over several years. Fortunately they decided to take some inspiration from their compatriots Asics (absolutely loving my Gel Nimbus 25s....sooooo comfy) and really kick themselves up the arse and start innovating and competing again.
Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦 👋
@@Sabundy I love South Africa 🇿🇦 … visited joburg (ParkTown) a few times and my sister lives in Stellenbosch. My last name is originally Zulu too. Great to have you on the channel! 🙏
@@AubreyRunningThat's really cool 😀. I'm from Cape Town. Born and bred. But I'm living in Osaka, Japan. Which btw is where Mizuno is from. There is a MASSIVE Mizuno flagship shop here. And ASICS is from the city right next door....Kobe. I've actually been to the ASICS museum. It's very cool. Not least of all because they have a 2019 Rugby World Cup winning Springboks jersey signed by the whole team on display 😁😁😁
this channel is boomin, keep it up my man
Thank you so much… I’m truly grateful for the support I continue to receive
I have both and the jury is out on them both but I haven't done many miles in each. Mizuno is superb when you are on it but feels a bit unstable at anything but full on pace, Nike gave me a tight calf after first run and pins and needs on second run, great video as ever Aubrey
Thanks for the feedback… what would you say is your favourite shoe just so I know what your ideal fit and design is. I love both these shoes
@@AubreyRunning Alphafly for speed and Cloudsurfer 7 for daily runs
Absolutely love your content. 👍🏻😁
Thank you so much! I don’t take such feedback for granted. Thank you.
Great content. I’m average too and appreciate hearing from someone like me. Keep it up
I just find that sometimes reviews can be a bit too techy and jargon filled for every day people. Thank you for the encouragement
Like your Vibe Aubrey! Subbed 🙌
Thank you so much… I don’t at all take it for granted. It’s so much appreciated that I talk about it at the start of every video. I’m genuinely blown away by the response.
Your energy is so great. Gained a sub!
That means so much to hear, I truly appreciate it and welcome to the channel.
Thanks for this video. I keep trying to give Nike a chance, but keep going back to the Mizunos. Hands down, at least for me, they are the better running shoe.
That’s fair enough for sure. Mizuno have a special place in my heart for sure because of how they supported my channel
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for stopping by, much appreciated!
Got the Wave Rebellion Pro an hour ago in the Kakizome color at last. Went up half a size.. I am 43 in Saucony.. Nike.. New Balance.. But Mizuno in 27.5 cm says 42.5.. But since I have wide feet and some advice going up half a size I did. They fit amazing. Enough room in the midfoot and toebox.. Do seem a half size long but I think going TTS would crush my toes. I did notice that the tongue keeps bunging up on one side when I put them on.. Of course it's the add on.. They saw the sticker with the size to the side of the tongue.. Why not put it like a sticker.. So I cut this out.. Problem solved. Walking around the house feels super strange. Like having a tennis ball under your arches.. I already did my run in the morning so I will run in them tomorrow morning for the first time.. My question.. I have the Stryd hard Fartlek workout tomorrow.. 10 x 1. 5 minutes at 108% CP.. How suitable is it for sprints? To high❓ To unstable❓
I think it should be fine, I’m fine with mine on intervals but it’s best at a stead fast pace. Slow paced aren’t the most aligned with this shoe. For what’s it’s designed for, it’s absolutely amazing
Great video ⭐👌
The Vaporfly always feels the fastest shoe.. but..
If you compared your heart rate running at same pace which would be lowest .. ie which is the most efficient? 🤔
I would add Alex Filitti to Tim Grose if you want a data junkie shoetuber
I love his channel for sure. Such a balance and data driven reviewer. Thanks for the feedback too, much appreciated.
What is best for the knees!
I don’t think the immediate solution is shoes. Start with addressing the root cause which may be muscular or understanding imbalances in your body. Start with undershoot gait analysis if you can get one done and the start running slowly and then build up your mileage.
My three fsvorite shoe reviewers though the doctors of running can give a more science%anstomy view.
I love that channel too
Mizuno. Because Nike tend to self destruct after a while
I’m very happy for the other brands because they are slowly emerging as worthy. I absolutely love Nike though.
@@AubreyRunning i just got burned with the invincible 1 . The thing fell apart with less than 50km on them. I used to have Mizuno runners and they last verrrry long
I love the Nike Vaporfly. But this version is a failure. Ugly shape and colors. Mizuno is a 2023 sensation for me. I have also the Mizuno Wave Duel Pro model - it's a crazy model. The channel is growing well. Interesting comparisons. I recommend also: FORD RUNS and especially Seth James DeMoor and Believe in the Run, Doctors of Running, or Tim Grose :)
I love all those channel and watch them all the time. It’s such amazing talent that has inspired what I do. Big credit to them.
I believe the Nike upper material is suppose to be hydrophobic and shed water really well. Plus in hot climates it’s probably better. Great video otherwise
I agree about the hot weather but I run in cold and wet England and a more protecting shoe is better in winter.
I walked from where I parked my car to the house which was about 2 minutes and my socks were wet afterwards.
Lmao doesn’t look like you’ve used them
I will be sharing my running experience review in them very shortly. They no longer look as pristine
Mizuno !!!
Great shoe! Also really good to see smaller brands rising up!
