Or from the sword right onto the trebuchet.

Love the robotic pedestals. It feels like I'm in a futuristic museum. So great!!!!!

There is no profit in peace.
@@Ogrematic why
@@yash7461 There are hundreds of companies who profit from war. The natural drive for a business is to make money, either long term or short term. Peace costs money, cuz you're paying for people to eat, and work, and live. It's easier for a business to blow up a building instead of building one. Businesses only build if it makes them money, if there's kickbacks in the construction industry. The money used to make structures is used to pay fees, buy permits and basically grease palms. Keeping people employed costs money, which is why business owners send all their manufacturing overseas. When enough people in first world countries have lost their jobs, it will devolve into more wars and revolutions, and a new order will take control, (Like how Rome fell) but it will just be the same shit. New countries are built on the money made by wars. History is written by the winners. Sucks for us.
No guided or cruise missiles?
No galleys? No Triremes? No railgun? No jet fighters?
No slings? No rockets?
Yup, even though I appreciate the work put on this, I think it was more than it can be chewed on a 4 minute video.
And wrong dates for several chosen weapons (like the crossbow, used at least 2 centuries before staded in the video).
And as usual in modern history, many examples of last centuries, or decades weapons, and very few of older history ones (like you said, not mentioning, for example, the galley, is a big mistake, even for such a short video, and showing the flashbang, that should not be placed in 2006 to begin with, is useless).
And wrong visuals (the cannon shown for 1200 for example).
No assault rifles? no torpedo's?
what do you want? a whole 4 hours of every weapon made by mankind?
@@jakecoste4800 at least should've added the tomahawk cruise missile "flare of war", one of the most advanced weapon ever used in war.
“I don’t know which weapons will be used during WWIII, but I know WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones.” - Einstein
Ww3 is not even happening and y'all are talking about ww4
Ww5 fighted with guns and bombs again
yeah but sure never will be ww3 the leaders and the richest peoples its more better if there is peace and can earn much more money because of the world economy! they realized the peace bring much more money than the war...

Fun fact about the revolver: they were a pain in the ass to reload. Before brass cartridges, you had to manually put the powder, ball, and cap and then ram it for all 6 holes on the cylinder.
Same thing I had to do to my ex wife...

Correction on the flashbang. Yes, they do produce a shockwave. In fact, the blast can be powerful enough to destroy a couch if it thrown underneath. This is why there is training to throw flashbangs into the middle of the room, not near the walls.
Why does it say 2006 when wikipedia claims they've been in use since the 70s :(
@@Lattamonsteri They have been in use for quite some time now. I first trained with them in early 2001 & continued training with them through 2002-2003. Then we invaded Iraq in early 2003 & used flashbangs at that time too. They've been used for a long time is my point.
@@Lattamonsteri Without source checking, I already knew it had to be long before 2006 as well.

This was really cool to watch and the models look spectacular. Good job!
The rate technology advanced after the start of the industrial age is just staggering. Then there's the 20th century. By itself, it was the fastest leap forward for humanity than all the previous centuries of human history combined. We went from horses being the primary means of travel in 1900 to landing men on the moon in 69 years, from bolt action rifles and trench warfare to fully automatic weapons and mobile warfare using tanks and aircraft in 37 years, and from just beginning to really implement electricity into society to modern computers capable of billions of calculations a second in 77 years. No other century has seen such rapid advancement, and there are just too many too list.
My favourite part about this comment section is that everyone gets distracted by the fancy animation and doesn't notice that a lot of the information is just wrong
it interesting that stone spears from 400,000 years ago have the same design as near-future hypersonic gliders.
*SWORDS: 1000 BC*

"The first weapons that can be described as "swords" date to around 3300 BC. They have been found in Arslantepe, Turkey, are made from arsenical bronze, and are about 60 cm (24 in) long."

2:31 we gonna ignore the needlegun that could load faster than a revolver? 1841 was the invention date of the Prussian breach loaded paper cartridge bolt gun AKA they Dryse needlegun. Dryse's apprentice, Paul Mauser made the famous Mauser rifles off of design techniques he learned from Dryse. (bolt action rifles are breach loaded, so are older semi-automatics) it also moderinized the earliest form of cartridges in modern implementation and (unintentionally) was the first Caseless ammunition (that many designs still cannot acheive and was borderline science fiction until Heckler and Koch made by former Mauser employees after WW2 made a caseless gun that looked like a suitcase. the cold war ended before it could be adopted) 1841 dryse needle gun was the father of all modern breechloading designs, the French even copied it in their chassepot rifles (and improved it in muzzle velocity, range and accuracy. the bolt design went into the first 1886 Lebel rifles that spun the metal cartridge and smokeless powder Revolution craze within weapon design)
the Whole world used Mauser designs to an exent, the american springfeild 1903 was a clone of the Mauser 1898. the modern magazine was firmly invented by paul mauser, especially if it's double stack. lee paris who designed lee-enfeild got it on paper first but mauser got it implimented first as early as 1871 in magazine conversions for singleshot 1871 Gewehr rifles. first modern detachable mag was one of these conversions. internal variants Mauser was more known for he pressed into design as soon as 1889 6 years before Lee Paris got his design adopted for the British in 1895
the Japanese and Chinese both adopted clones of the 98 as well, the Chinese straight up adopted the C-96 pistol Paul Mauser made to try an get Pistol adoption by the German Imperial Army. First successfully semi-automatic rifle was co-developed by Paul Mauser too out of Doing a favor for Luger so Mexico would make Drum magazines for the Famous Pistole 1908
the 8mm mauser Bullet though never designed by mauser was the first modern bullet adopted by a military power, Rimless designed, it have much less issues when used as a machinegun or repeater bullet. rimlock was a common problem with Rimmed ammo and often deadly to the soldier using the weapon. the German Government Designed the Cartridge as a testing round for Quality parameters, Mauser often being a winner since 1871 had the bullet named after them,
8mm Mauser was the main Caliber of Germany, Belgium, Czeckslovakia (the Bren gun was designed here too and was tested in 8mm Mauser), Britain (sporting cartridge), Spain, the entire middle east (if they use surplus), Isreal (who started off using Nazi German Guns, Otto skronezy the deadliest Nazi German Soldier (and most daring black ops soldier in history) helped form the Mossad, the secret service of Israel). various African nations also make use of the Caliber if they can't find an AK the G98 rifle that almost every nation cloned also still beats the AK in Variation and Production numbers albiet it's very close. the first anti-tank weapon was the 8mm Mauser K bullet and eventually an upscaled 1898 rifle called the Tank Gewehr. the TG rifle was also used by the Polish in numbers in WW2 including design derivations. Japan only used it in one weapon, the Tank MG, type 99 ATU that used ZBZ (the Bren gun was a copy of it) magazines. it was also the first LMG to be given a sniper scope (the Japanese were onto using high-power MGs as sniper rifles since it beat their low power Arisaka rifles)
while not new a gunsmith in the 1600s did make a breechloading cartridge rifle for an aristocrat, it ended up on Forgotten weapons in a video, the aristocrat "knew how to shoot" as Ian described it

That’s what they had lol.
That’s all they had!
Fun fact:
We went from the first flight to the first jet fight in just 41 years.
We went from the first jet fight to the first guided missile fight in just 19 more years.
We went from the first guided missile fight to the Moon landing in just 11 more years.
We went from the Moon landing to stealth fighter in just 27 more years.
We spent thousands of years of wars with spears and swords, we spent another hundreds of years with guns.
But we literally went from the first flight to the first stealth fighter in less than 100 years. That happened with WW1, WW2 and the Cold War.
Omg! It so GREAT work!! I really like focuses in all scenes! It’s SOOOO AMAZING!!! (And sorry for my bad English)

Everyone says the founding fathers didn't expect our advancement of guns to reach this far. But even in the late 18th century we knew a fair bit about ancient history and progression of technology. Even within their lives technology had grown, especially Benjamin Franklin's. It's almost granted they expected weaponry to advance beyond it's current state and understood that writing the second amendment.
Here is my future weapon for me
1st laser gun
2nd lightsaber
3rd futuristic jet with a laser gun
4th futuristic warship
5th robot military and human military with a chip in the brain
6th futuristic tank with a laser
7th black hole bomb
8th electric gun and bomb
For the future, my predictions are lazer guns, and stronger tanks, there will be new battleships armed with lazers that can shoot down planes.

The fact that these man made weapons keep growing stronger and more powerful by the years is what worries me the most hopefully we don't reach the point where humanity can just annihilate itself with just the push of a button! 😬
already can
The weapons of war fascinate me, especially the medieval ones.
This is great, exactly what I was looking for, thank you! It's an underrated video, shame it doesn't have more views!
I think this is a little lacking in the old/ancient time weapons part. There could've been way more
It’s a flash BANG, so yes it absolutely produces a shockwave. Beautiful video, and I thank you for that. However many inaccuracies.

Flash bangs were invented way before 2006, and the P8 has been flying operationally since at least 2014.
For the future:
- electromagnetic pulse disabling radars and all electronic materials in a weapon
- cyborgs
- Satellite littering bombs
- black plague bomb. (it will "disable" all humans in a defined perimeter with a brief nerve sickness)
- The eraser (the same concept of phalanx defense but on land for offensive purposes)
Awesome video! I love the way important inventions are shown with more details from a closer look! So good work, also you interested me with this Poseidon plane, gonna surely learn about it!
Flash bangs have been around since the cold war. To prove that you’ve flawed in saying they were created in 2006, check out counter strike from the year 2000, flashbangs can be used/equipped.

The English Longbow, yes 1300, the Welsh Longbow is a lot older.
yeah most of these are incorrect
The future weapons? Neutron bombs, anti-matter bombs, mini-black hole weapons, microwave weapons, hand held laser weapons, mini hand held nukes, and the list goes on and on.
Awesome video, thanks!
In future weapons is SO OVERPOWERED
If the flash bang grenade was invented in 2006, what the heck did the SAS use when they stormed the Iranian Embassy, crow scares?
Flash bang grenades were in Counter-Strike beta back in 1999, so they must had existed before 2006.
Seriously? The info in this video is so wrong. Flash Bangs were invented in 1960 not 2006 🤣🤣 video games had flash bangs since the 1990’s, first tank was the Little Willie in 1914 invented by the British, not 1915, Flintlock was first invented in 1517 and more common in 1547 and first matchlock was in 1411. Also where’s the musket? First magazine hand gun? First Submachine gun? I really don’t understand why is it so hard to just do proper research before making videos? You make awesome videos that are good ideas but then just drop the ball with misleading and incorrect information
I kinda expected more weapons accurately such as the first ever assault rifle, light machine gun, sub machine gun and more but nevertheless, still splendid displays and models.Good job
This video is a perfect example of when you get your info off Wikipedia 🤦♂️

I had no idea swords were made so late, I completely though they were a bit older :0
