- The Jive Five (Eugene Pitt, Casey Spencer, Beatrice Best, Frank Pitt, Herbert Pitt) perform the group's classic 1961 debut hit, "My True Story" in Parsippany, New Jersey on May 21, 1989.
Love this song. I know every word. It brings back good memories.
Love this song!
Great song and we did a great cover.Step Back In Time with Bert Archilla on the lead, done in Acappella.
They were much bigger than the hit My true story! All there records had a story & were hits in my book!!!
he was so awesome-can't believe he is gone-God Bless you Mr. Eugene Pitt-roncerelli
Yeah that's my nephew's grandaddy and uncles
since the 1st time hearing this in 1961 til now it rips me apart every time listening to it. no doubt pitt is & was an incredible singer but let's not forget to give credit to the awesome backup of the jive five.
Men have feelings and emotions as participants in the human race. My dad (WWII army veteran) was a tough Irishman with 6 young men -- " men don't cry, me buckos". I feel every word from mister Pitt / as well as B.J. THOMAS" IM SO LONESOME I COULD CRY". WELL, over age 75 and I'm very proud Tobe nurturing & sensitive. From: Coolavoohig, republic of Ireland 🇮🇪.
It is a true story and the policeman that Mary his girlfriend actually sang with him about 20 something years later
Now this is music, BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Excellent, may Eugene Forever Rest Easy and in Peace******
Lip sync is off. Hope it had to do with filming/recording.
It depends. I notice the filming do not match when they sing while I have my phone connected to my car. But when listen to this with my earphones, it matches.
Fabulosos
Is it really a true story or are they jive?
