  • You need to sign another 5 year lease for a luxury sedan for work. You've already tried the likes of the Mercedes C Class, BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. Now, Jaguar is launched the most convincing case to drive something a little more exciting. It's the better looking, more powerful and still very luxurious sedan from the iconic British brand. It now comes with a 5 year warranty and capped price service plan. Find out in this review if this is worth buying in 2022.

    I had a 2018model myself, and I will ALWAYS recommend the XE over the big three, But at the same time, I’m glad not too many people buys the jag, it’s makes it a little extra «special» on the road

      Hey bro, looking to buy one myself 2018 model...
      Can you tell me how was the maintenance and if there was any problem with the engine?
      Thanks in advance.

      @@MyNEO123456789 didn’t need much maintenance, But the diesel engine has a weakness that can give compression down in the oil pan which results in engine change.
      They changed this in the 2019 model, so if u want the 2.0 inline 4 diesel model u should go for a 2019 model.
      Other than that it was an absolutte dream car to have, driving experience is fantastic and fun.

    I have a 2020 XE R-Dynamic HSE AWD, diesel, and i love it. this is my 4th Jag, X-Type, two XF's and now this XE. On a long run a can 65 miles to the gallon, around town i'll get 45-50. i've got two years left on my lease, but to get a new car in the UK, you need to order a year in advance. I been looking for alternative to the Jaguar, but I don't want any of the very common german cars. So the only real alternative is the Genesis G70 Sport, I'm going to book a test drive, but to be honest, I still think the Jag is really good value for money and its a great looking car. This is definitely the best version of the XE jag has made. Its more than likely i'll end up with another XE, unfortunately Jag have stopped selling the AWD in the diesel version, which is a shame, it has tone of grips and holds the road really well. Maybe i'll have to consider the P300, I travel a lot with my job, so may be a little to expensive to run in the current climate.

    They pretty much emasculated this car with the facelift and the removal of the 340/380 hp V6. They changed several other things like the rotary shifter I did not want changed either. I have an AWD 2017 35t R Sport and I hope it lasts a really long time because there is nothing to replace it with.

    I am a XEL(China Market special model) 2020 holder, this is great car but some of it need to be improve, the 8 speed auto trasm is not that smart compare use the use same gearbox BMW 3 Series, and drink petrol more than 3 series also, for me I drive for 10000KM now on this car it's like 11.5L/100km, If drive more in city it should be more.
    and the Meridian system on 2020 XE was 825W but the new 2022/21 is 650W there is little bit change.
    But it's really good looking,I chioce the white body and redset inside.
    one thing is what I afraid after many years such unpopular cars will have few parts for repairs will be expensive especially in places like Australia.

    Whereas most people who are in the market for a powerful dog breed would think only of getting one of the Teutonic models (i.e., a Doberman, German Shepherd or Rottweiler [a BMW, Mercedes Benz or Audi]), a more discerning and adventurous person would insist on a less common drop-dead gorgeous breed with agility and ferociously instant power. A proper Jaguar is in many respects very similar to a 130 LBS male American Akita - uncommon, gorgeous, easy to live with on a daily basis, yet also instantly ferocious when the situation warrants aggression.

      @ProductReviewCars  2 роки тому +2

      I like this analogy

    • @rf8481
      @rf8481 2 роки тому +3

      @@ProductReviewCars Your review was perhaps the most insightful and spot on I have seen in regard to the value proposition of the 2020 XE refresh with the higher output turbo 4. Most reviewers simply ignore or undervalue the aesthetics - which is the number 1 priority for a Jaguar buyer. Beauty attracts but once you get to know and drive and live with the car, you fall in love.
      This is a very different emotional attachment to that which one gets when buying and owning a MB, Audi or BMW which are about as rare as a VW.
      The Jaguar is a car you have a torrid lustful affair with initially and with which, you eventually fall in love with. It is a different kind of person who buys a Jaguar. Emotion is what attracts and sells and only after the initial attraction does the buyer later come to rationalize the purchase by recognizing the underlying value and greatness of the car over days, weeks and months.
      It is a very different process than that followed by people who buy the German or Japanese brands. Buying a Jag is most like buying an Alfa Romeo - which why both are niche brands are usually the choice for automotive fashionistas and why the cold rational thinking habitual car buyers never get the allure of the Jag and the Alfa and never shop the brands.
      Beauty is its own reward and only if you are mesmerized by the looks, will you ever test drive one, let alone buy one. Jags look as good as they drive and vice versa. No one else does except maybe Alfa Romeo.

    • @UKTonyMagill

      @@rf8481 Good comment. My final shortlist is the XE and Alfa Giulia. I can't decide between them on paper so I'll test drive both soon. Have you driven either?

    • @rf8481
      @rf8481 2 роки тому +2

      @@UKTonyMagill In the USA, the Jaguar warranty is 5 years -60K miles with no cost maintenance and roadside assistance so Jag wins out on that score, plus the dealer network for Jag is on average higher class with better service as Alfa used lower rent dealers which also sell other less expensive brands.
      Plus the reliability of petrol/gasoline powered Jags based on personal experience is very good compared to the most powerful Alfa engines. In the end, it comes down to which car or SUV has the overall better external design and interior and value. Even a Jag service loaner bought as CPO car can be acquired with an extended warranty adding 2 years onto the original manufacturer warranty. Now of course, cars seldom explode or melt down in the first 5 years or 7 years anyway.
      In general they start experiencing system failures after 80,000 miles of 7 years just due to the effect of time on electronics, seals, gaskets, plastics from repeated cycles of extreme heat and cold.
      Oh sure batteries can die and other things can break but these are relatively common and minor issues. In the end, I think Jag's are better looking and have a more luxurious ride without sacrificing handling and performance. Alfas are just more tightly sprung and ride rougher.
      Alfas are great handling and nice looking vehicles but if you plan to spend time riding over rough roads in your commute, the sport's car ride gets old pretty fast and you will really want a bit more cushion and luxury. Jag beats every other brand in this regard as they offer the most usable blend of luxury and ride for daily driving whether in the F Pace or the XE.
      While I own both the supercharged V 6 and a turbocharged I 4 Jaguar F Pace AWD and XE S AWD, the post 2020 Jaguars have stepped up the interior fit and finish to the point wherein the Germans and Japanese have nothing that is superior to the Jags overall in regard to luxury and comfort. Jags are sweet looking and driving cars and you only have to drive around the block in a Jag to get a feel for the car and that initial 2 minute ride will either sell it or not.
