These videos are just so so so relaxing. I'm in the middle of exams, and every time I take a break I watch one. As well as taking absolutely sublime photos, which are an inspiration, you make me feel like I'm walking around town with a friend, freely, without having to think about anything, you manage to show me a good time while I'm behind a screen, in my student flat, thank you for that, 1,000 times over. Greetings from France
@Opticalwander And it's mutual, sincerely. I'm in a complicated period of my life, where I'm asking myself a lot of questions, where a lot of things don't please me but are decisive for what's to come, and I have this nasty feeling that I'm missing out on my twenties. It's videos like yours that make me feel better, that somehow make me feel better. Natural, caring, healthy content that allows me to discover as much as it soothes me. We don't know each other of course, we'll never know each other, surely, but this feeling of walking around town with a friendly comrade means a lot to me. Thanks again for this. Btw late response, sorry, exams week ahah
I love my 35-150! I’ve had since its release right away and it’s been the best investment haha I’ve done sooo many videos on it because it’s that good! Makes photo and video work so easy to capture everything I need!
It is an amazing street lens - only complicated by its size (I find it also occasionally misses focus, but not too regularly); you should also try Tamron's 50-300. While not as nice an aperture range, getting tight shots on street photography from a lighter lens is something special
Informative video.. I've been think about picking it up, and I think you just convinced me.. I usually walk around with my 105 prime.. But having a wider lense is always better.. Thanks and keep it up dude.. Cheers
Just had trip to Grand Canyon. It's so much lighter than the classic trio with just the 35-150 and a wide zoom, in my case a Sony 20-70. I have a Viltrox 16 f1.8 in my suitcase as backup, in case I need a brighter wide angle. It just made shooting so much more enjoyable
This lens is on my camera 90% of the time. I sold all my other lenses except my 85 1.8 for the extra light and the subject separation that I can't get with the 35mm end.
I agree with you about this lens however I still sold mine to fund my 10mm and a 24-70 2.8 sigma as I have a tamron 50-400 and love it see u on the streets young man 📷👍 PS would love the opportunity to shoot with you in London 😇
I found this one second hand for 1000 bucks. Should I buy or not as a hobby enthusiast? I want to endeavour into freelancing events and graduations and maybe weddings. But I'm not there yet. So thus I wonder if this is too much for a hobbyist to go for?...
Thank you!! As a newbie I've been feeling guilty about loving my zoom lenses and feeling like I don't have a need for a prime at all. I have a 18-300 Tamron for daylight shooting, 17-70 f2.8 for lower light situations and I would love a 18-35 f1.8 for night photography. I'd be complete with that. I love zooming and the compression effect. I don't need tack sharp images because everything goes on my instagram or is for my own computer viewing. I do wish to make some prints one day for our house decor but again, it's house pics not an art exhibition with renowned critics coming along to pick faults, just friends and family who will politely compliments them all 😂
@@Opticalwander 300€ at the moment, slow but steady. Can’t lay much to the side with a 10 Month old baby at home. But slow and steady wins the race 👍🏻 the longer the wait the more I’m gonna enjoy it.
i made the swap because i had the mk 1 version the mk ii version is lighter than this lens but i would argue the versatility is worth the extra weight. maybe wait a while and see if tamron bring out a new version of this and then make your choice. it also depends on what else is in your kit bag :)

Wow the editing of this video is even better than a lot of the others, very cinematic!
I’m making more an effort in 2025 to provide higher quality videos ❤ thank you for noticing ❤

Great video man! Incredible lens 😍 appreciate the shout out at the end 🙏

2:59 .... Lovely lovely photo ... Nice Job Sir.
Another one of mine picked ! Cheers Sam! Great vid !!
Jammy Dodger! No, sorry, not jammy, you obviously deserve the praise.
Totally love it for weddings
I have a Tamron 17-70 and a Sony 70-350. It feels like a superpower taking those two lenses out haha.
Switched from canon to sony just because of this lens. Absolutely love it!
Great Video and Lens. Bit to Heavy for me but anyway a really good Lens! ✌🏼
best all-round lens, by far
Nice video, I really enjoyed it
Yes! This is my favorite lens I've used for the A7C, but I can't afford it lol.

Another great video🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

see u on the streets young man 📷👍

Loved the video, do you think you could do some landscape photography in Wales? Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia?
I’ll definitely give it a go ❤
I tend to be a prime snob but the tamron 35-150 is my paid gig work horse. My daily walk about lens is usally 2 primes.
I’m also a prime snob! Can’t beat a good sharp prime 😍
Tamron makes great lenses! I got the 150-500 on Fuji and I love it! Do you still have your Samyang 85mm?
great video! loved the photos!!
Best wedding lens ever.

Tamron 28-200 may not be fast enough but quite good
F2.8 cool .. I will choose it over the 18-300mm f3.5
Super video!

Im saving up for this Lense for Months, since i only have a Sigma 50mm F1.4 and the Sony 85mm F1.8. It would be perfect for the Car photography i do.
thats awesome !! how much have you managed to save ?

Try the Canon r50 small good beginner cam
Is it worth replacing the 70-200 f2.8 GM II with this lens?
i made the swap because i had the mk 1 version the mk ii version is lighter than this lens but i would argue the versatility is worth the extra weight. maybe wait a while and see if tamron bring out a new version of this and then make your choice. it also depends on what else is in your kit bag :)
It is good for wildlife ( like in zoo or just eu Forest)
What do you think about the Samyang version of this lens?
i am yet to try it, maybe a head to head would be good !
Would love that
I had this lens and returned it right away. It is way too heavy and way too big to be discrete. Good on you for making it work, though!
it's defo not a lens for someone who wants to be discrete, that being said. You can be hidden at 150 and not be seen 😂
🔥🔥🔥
Got a tamron 70-300mm recently second hand for £60 unreal would love a review
for £60 is unreal !! what a steal !
@ cex is the place to go man you should make a series buying Cheap second hand lens
Doesn't come in my mounts -- any of them.
Have had my eye on this lens for a while. But alas, i have the Canon RF system. F U Canon, will you ever allow 3rd party lens?
Am I first ? No way!
