My only issue is that they made him smoke the cigars for nothing. The movie was great no doubt. But imo I think a Cavillrine Wolverine fight scène would've made it better since the final boss was anti climactic. But I've said it before and I'll say it again. The reason why Disney's board makes decisions that don't make sense is explained by Andre from Midnight's Edge: all members of the board were handpicked by Iger himself, and didn't really have qualifications other than personally knowing him.

Wait, so when filming, multiple takes are often done - especially in a big budget movie like this. We already knew that they had to omit cameos that they wanted to do, primarily due to money and time constraints, so why would we think that specific cameos needed to be included just because they were filmed. If something came up against a time constraint or a storytelling conflict, then it needed to be cut, and I just don't see Cavill's scene needing to be any longer than it was. Saying otherwise makes very little sense.

And their blatant disrespect towards actors. Johnny Depp for example. So i wouldnt put it past Disney. However i can say with certainty that many people will love it if there are actual extended Calverine scenes. And these past 3 Deadpool movies have been Ryan's "baby" so to speak. Something hes very passionate about and wants it to do right by the fans. So if Disney tries to actually screw with it then yes i can see Ryan getting pissed. I mean its just common sense. It might have been for a small snipit, but if Ryan can somehow convince Iger to implement the longer edit for Cabillrine and see the potential in him as the next Wolverine. Then Huge Jackman can retire his version/Fox version of the character and the MCU gains a new Wolverine with the fan base backing it up. Would love to see him as the next Wolverine. Cavill and Reynolds could save the next stage of the MCU. 8:29

I think it was done perfectly short and strong. However, I would like to see the Calverine movie.

There is an interview with both Ryan and Sean in it where they say explicitly that there will be no extended cut. That the theatrical cut is exactly the movie they wanted to make.

Imo people who will buy blueray/ extended cut releases are like super fans that will want to future support what they love. some recent interviews with Hugh ,he said it was him that called Ryan about doing it, and recent comments with Marvel have said they have no plan to replace Hugh in the MCU in the foreseeable future..I think that may be why they dont want the footage coming out getting fans to start pushing for something not in their paln.
As for size Cavill may be bigger a bit muscle size, more bulk, Hugh is older and lean and cut..Hugh is actually taller, but comicbook wise Wolverine is supposed to be shorter, Id rather see Cavill pushed as someone else as earlier speculated Captain Britain, or maybe Miracleman..
The reason why Disney's board makes decisions that don't make sense is explained by Andre from Midnight's Edge: all members of the board were handpicked by Iger himself, and didn't really have qualifications other than personally knowing him.
Do they really have no better stuff to do than make a decision to cut some individual scenes from a movie or extended version? Why do that and leave the original scene in? And who was the spy that reported what happens on Iger's board meetings?

Wait, so when filming, multiple takes are often done - especially in a big budget movie like this. We already knew that they had to omit cameos that they wanted to do, primarily due to money and time constraints, so why would we think that specific cameos needed to be included just because they were filmed. If something came up against a time constraint or a storytelling conflict, then it needed to be cut, and I just don't see Cavill's scene needing to be any longer than it was. Saying otherwise makes very little sense.
I think Ryan was talking about DC and WB... not Netflix... nobody screwed Henry over more than WB and the whole Superman debacle.
