What gets me is how people who are pro forced DEI don't realise that it makes things worse, not better. If something doesn't flow naturally with the story, if it feels shoehorned in, then it stands out in a bad way. A poster child of this is the all women flash mob at the end of Avenger Endgame, where all the women who were supposed to be spread out across the battlefield, or doing other things, happened to all gather into one spot to help the one women who didn't need any help. Most of those women didn't know each other, and a couple, like Nebula, wouldn't have cared to help anyway. By being SO forced, instead of highlighting female empowerment, it undermined it, because if the female empowerment was legit it wouldn't have had to be forced. Instead of being a feminist power move, that sequence wound up being a misogynist statement on how women can't be powerful unless its fake.

All of the entertainment industry is too busy trying to force these ideals into everything without regard for how detrimental it may be to proper storytelling, respect for the original concepts and ideas the characters were based on and around, plus a total disregard and lack of respect for people who may not see agree with what in some may feel is subjects that they didn't she'll out hard earned money to be lectured to about when they just wanted to enjoy a good movie. That's why we enjoy movies like Deadpool and the like! We live with hearing about all the other stuff every single day in our lives. We go watch those types of movies to be able to see characters we grew up reading about in the comics or saw in cartoons and leave reality behind for a while and enjoy a great story.

Deadpool & Wolverine has its "Woke" moments but it really worked. It was funny and authentic with a strong story. Woke doesn't have to be a franchise killer when its handled well. The problem is, this is an exception and you cannot trust Disney and definitely not Iger. If I had to choose I'd exclude Woke altogether because its execution is so uneven and is abused by talentless writers and directors.
