Your videos are so relaxing. They are really helping me calm down and better handle my panic episode. And the items look so beautiful when you are done.
It relaxes me to watch. It is so peaceful. ❤️ I remember taking our shoes to the repair shop. My sister had a pair of suede boots she would take in to have cleaned back in 1978. She still has those boots.
This brings back so many memories! My Dad had a Shoe repair Shop years ago! I remember the Caps and taps, also half sole and heels repair and stitching Machine! Excellent job!!!🦶👍Sherry / Chicago
Beautiful work!! I've binge watched at least 7 now. 😁 I did a shoe drive for my daughters special needs foreign adoption 5 years ago bringing in 30k lbs of shoes... it was an incredible adventure and I couldn't help but think of all the feet that made our adoption journey the miracle it became. I was so thankful for every generous foot and person who touched our lives as I tied laces or buckles together to bag the thousands and thousands of shoes. Watching your work makes me thankful for the true art and craftsmanship that go into these true works of art we call shoes. 😊❤ thank you for sharing and showing your talents. Impressed is an understatement. Keep up the amazing work! God bless!❤
Is it just me, or is this the ONLY channel that actually restores them? Not just replacing it with the wrong colored or textured pieces and painting them? Best restoration channel for shoes!
You are more than a cobbler, you are a perfectionist, genius, and an ARTIST! I live in Indiana, USA, and had a wonderful cobbler who passed away. Now, I can't find anyone who knows this craft. Well done!
Exceptional Work! But, I do have a question. Why didn't the gentleman send his Loafers to GUCCI to be repaired? I bought a pair of Brown Suede Horsebit Loafers in Beverly Hills. I since have moved to a state that doesn't have a GUCCI. The nearest GUCCI was in Aspen, Colorado. I called, told them what needed to be done, Mailed them in and in three weeks, got them back! They looked like brand New Loafers! All the GUCCI labeling! I mean, they went Far above what I asked for! They changed the Footbed, with a nice new GUCCI stamp in them! The Price? Hardly anything! But, again, EXCEPTIONAL WORK!
I can’t believe Gucci puts their stamp so high up in the sole. That’s why I like Prada for putting it a little lower so it doesn’t get covered by sole guard protectors or restorations
When you use cleansing solution for either leather or suede, do you wash the foam off with the water first or just wipe it off with the soft cloth straight away? Thanks
you have to wash foam off completely either with water or with wet rag. I usually use wet rag first and use brush with water to remove foam away and wipe off with dry rag quickly. But you have to be careful when you use water to clean leather especially suede leather, it gets damaged.
So satisfying! Will you please consider doing both sides instead of just one? I know the process would be same but it’s too satisfying for just one foot/shoe! Lol thank you Edit-I meant for future videos, not this one
Depending on how you can treat suede shoes, it requires skill to rinse them with water. It could be safer to tissue them to remove shampoo if you are not skilled.
Why does watching this feel like home to me? I’ve never worked with shoes, never restored, yet……… I watch and enjoy the craft. Furthermore I feel like I know the process and want to get my hands in there…… perhaps a past life memory……. How does one get started doing this??!! I want in!!!! Great work!!!
@@RepairStudio……….. you’re one lucky chap…… and you do so well with the family craft….. 😉 I watched your videos first, then others came up…. I’m still enjoying yours the most. Where do you film from? If I might ask?
This was amazing! I saw that you dyed over the dried parts and then put protector around the end. Was there any conditioner before or after? I washed my Gucci suede and Sherpa slippers with Dawn and Odoban after my son got sick on them. I let them air dry.,The good news is they smell great and my son is feeling better. However, they look all dried out. Is there anything I can do to save them? Thanks!!
@Pascal L It's variable to care shoes depending on condition. You can use leather cleaner to clean first and apply leather condition to moisturize them:)
Yeah, this my new lil spot na lol.. My grandma and grandpa had some ✂️ that use to cut and sound just like the ones you have. Imma need to find them suckas soon lol
Suede shoes always look so good in the store, but the reality is I always ruin them after 4 or 5 wears haha! Nice restoration, shame about the sole though... wonder if Gucci specifically embossed their logo that high up because they knew that at some point a restoration may take place 🤣🤣 or am I being too cynical?
I still can't figure out why you do it backwards. I restore houses from the top, down. not from the bottom up. if you're washing your car. do you wash from the bottom, up? no. when you're painting a car, house, fence. do you paint from the bottom up? no. when you clean your house. do you mop the floor, then clean the ceiling fan? no.

Not all restorations need to be bringing something back from it's last leg. Upkeep and simple fixes are just as much restoration as a complete repair from the ground up. It's cheaper and it keeps more of the original product than waiting until the shoe is destroyed to get it fixed. Restoration is to bring an item back to a near mint condition and there isn't a rule that states when an object isn't worthy of restoration yet.

amazing job. better than new; especially with the rubber sole on top of the leather. benefits of leather sole, with traction and durability of rubber.

Can't believe they covered over the Gucci stamp on the sole.
I don't know what you expect them to do, especially when it hits the part of the shoe with the most contact with the ground.
Maybe he could have embossed a new Gucci tm in the new sole. I saw them do it to LV
Don't worry it also upsets me 😖
I can’t believe Gucci puts their stamp so high up in the sole. That’s why I like Prada for putting it a little lower so it doesn’t get covered by sole guard protectors or restorations
Who cares it's on the freaking ground lmao no one gonna see it while wearing the shoes.
I enjoyed watching beautiful shoe restoration.

Nice job! But it’s always a better look when the rubber heels match the rubber soles hehe
Absolutely beautiful work!

Just simply beautiful restoration. Do the customers mind that the Gucci logo is covered by the new rubber sole?
Keep doing you.
They were covered previously by other repair store. I don't generally cover the logo tho.

Thanks for your comment, A C. To show you differences between before and after, I just filmed one side, but understandable 😆😆👍👍🙏🙏
Would you recommend rinsing real suede shoes with water after shampooing? Or the tissue method is safer?
Depending on how you can treat suede shoes, it requires skill to rinse them with water. It could be safer to tissue them to remove shampoo if you are not skilled.
I want that glue brush just so I can spread stuff onto other stuff
hi where can i buy the products that you used such as horse hair brush and suede paint?
try local repair stores or Amazon

Do you do one shoe at a time, or is each step done for both shoes at the same time?
Usually doing both pairs at the same time :)
Very nice ❤🙏
Bon travail 👍👌
I like and appreciate a worn out loafers.. anything leather really with time it creates identity
Whats the reason to brush the suede after painting/dyeing the suede shoe ?
to re-fluff the suede pile

So resoling and dyeing perfectly good shoes is called "performing a restoration" nowadays?
Well, someone's got to cough up those fancy knives.....
