Why do high end shoes often have leather soles that need to be quite quickly covered with rubber? What’s the benefit of leather soles over rubber? Thanks, I love your relaxing restoration videos.
It comes down to how much they're used, the type of wear they receive, the amount of maintenance the owners put into them, the fit, and even how the person applies weight to their feet.
I'm just trying to wrap my head around someone buying green suede, stiletto-heeled Burberry boots to go hiking in the mountains. How else can you explain how torn up those poor boots were?

Sometimes I forget. Don’t get me started on those transparent ones inside the shoe - I still find one in there sometimes.
