Absolutely amazing restoration and repair of these Blundstones! Loved watching you work. I wish I could find someone as excellent as you to work on my various boots!
Wow, brought back memories of the 80s when I was obsessed with maintaining my footwear. I had leather cleaner, various polishes, waterproofing, insoles and had the heels and toes touched up by a cobbler regularly. Now I live in the desert and only wear flipflops 🤣
Thats why i like leather shoes so much. The older the get, the better they are. And unless you completely destroy them, u can always restore them with some dedication or paying sometone to do it. Even if they are sometimes way more expensive than normal cloth sneakers, they are totally worth the money.
Great video! After being told by shoe repair shops that the heels on my Blundstone boots cannot be repaired because of the way the boots are made, it's very interesting to see that is not true. I just wish I could find someone in my city who can do this kind of repair to my 4-year-old daily wear Blundstone boots!
I don't regret higher education, but I do have immense admiration for craftspeople who put such strength and effort into making and repairing these things. I wish one day I could make something too, seeing your skill makes me a little jealous.
There's still a ton of dirt on the fabric outside of the shoe and sole at that end. This was a rushed job. The leather wasnt even allowed to dry properly and thoroughly during the different cleanings and treatments.
also removed the hard sole layer which exposed the internal foam to the elements and bloodstones are known to experience hydrolysis and I dont imagine that helped.
I have these boots! They were not cheap, but I talked myself into them because they are for work, and can be repaired when they wear out. Super nice to see it being done!
You inspire me a lot thank you a lot for it here in Germany coblers are really expensive I do own many expensive Designer shoes any this kind of repair will cost you nearly the price of New unfortunately
Hi, Im a big fan of Repair Studio, I haven't missed any videos from you guys, also because I'm new to shoe repair, can you tell me what's the name of the machine you're using and how can I buy it? are not? I'm in Australia, thanks a lot
I started watching this ASMR video and my cat instantly was looking around for the source of all the sounds 😂 He also started tapping his paws on the screen.
Most of us are here because of that reason. Other channels have annoying music and talking and this channel is much more enjoyable to watch. You can always turn your sound down.
I just bought a brand new pair of Blundstone 510 and they have a matte finish which surprised me, I expected them to have a polished shine. Can I polish them up to have a nice shine like the end result of this video or are they a different type of leather or something?
They are throw away boots. If you wear them at work you should be replacing them yearly. No different than other boots like blue steel and the like. People that say they buy good boots and they last for years are not doing their feet a good service. They aren’t RMs that are fully rebuildable
Lysol is more preventative than restorative. If your shoes already stink, no amount of lysol will change that. But if you use lysol after every wear, your shoes will never smell.
Don't listen to that other person. Yes, Lysol will not only deodorize but it will kill the bactedia and viruses instead of just masking them. Lysol is not a preventative. This person has no clue what they're talking about and their answer to you makes zero sense.
Nice job with the dying, but you definitely could have done a MUCH better job cleaning the boots. At the end, it still has a lot of dirt in the sole and in the edges of the elastic...
The soapping of the boots is always my favorite so satisfying and the painting 🥰🥰
I wish everyone was getting their shoes repaired instead of wasting them, so amazing
Better for the environment.
@@vancityguy but expensive
@@kitana625 Worth it. Especially if you have broken them in and the pride of longevity.
Unfortunately MOST fashion, including shoes, is not made to be repaired, which really sucks.
This. And applies on everything one uses. Clothes, tech etc. And new shoes are always much more uncomfortable than used ones.

Hahah they are almost brand new, only dirty. My work boots look like that in a months wear.
¿Cómo estás querida? ¿Cuáles son los materiales con los que limpias los zapatos y cuál es el último líquido antes de teñir?
Es limpiador de cuero y preparador de cuero
Almost every Aussie tradie would be horrified to find their hard worn grey boots polished to shiny black. They'd be laughed off the site.
Lol I know right those are barely broken in got ages of life left before a restore like that
You should clean the shoes first before gluing on a new heel or doing any repairs so that you're not getting dirt and gunk in the new materials.
They might have done the heel first because all the sanding deposits dust on the shoe.

I like when they were dirty
Pretty sure this would cost more than to replace them

amazing job!! Love how the shoe turned out.
we use several types of shoe glue, and do you use the same glue?
I love your work, but who would give money to repair Blundstone ????

Love to know what glue you used. I've repaired many of them boots but I have to put a primer on the boot so the glue sticks to it.
That’s a nice work! Keep doing it

Came here from insider video.
Do people send you their things to restore, or do you find items that you think need it? I love your videos and I’ve always wondered that!
I have a repair store and these items are from my clients:)
Impecable 😘❤️
I wonder how long those heel lifts stay on with no nails
It's strong adhesives :)
I could do without the asmr type stuff but either way nice restoration
Thanks Rocky Bettas🙏

question : will lysol work as a shoe deodorizer?
Lysol is more preventative than restorative. If your shoes already stink, no amount of lysol will change that. But if you use lysol after every wear, your shoes will never smell.
@@GoddessError wrong, lysol kills bacteria and viruses and the bacteria is what is causing the smell. Lysol spray would 100% deodorize shoes.
