Beautiful. My sister went to Boarding School with you when you were really little. She always said you were so precious and carried your dads guitar with you all the time.
Wow , I was wondering 💭 if he has his dad Martin D35 guitar 🎸 and you answered that guitar 🎸 I would pay top dollar for if I was really rich Jim croces d35 that is
My favorite artist of all time. Met him when I was about ten years old, his guitarist at the time introduced me and got me his signature. He is still my main musical inspiration. Thanks AJ for what do man.
May I say today I was reminiscing to the cool tunes of my day, the 70's, and got lost in some old Jim Croce tunes. I listened and began curiously researching some life stories and times and it led me to be here. What a delightful find! I have become today a fan. Awesome tune and video. Saved to my favs.
OUTSTANDING song and performance. I was watching a short documentary on Jim Croce, and A J was mentioned a few times, but only in relation to being a young child. Then, near the end, it tells us that he is a musician, and there is a short clip of a song. I dashed straight onto UA-cam in search of more.
Jim Croce is still my father's favorite artist. I still know all the words to many of his songs, and even sing a few when I've had a few. This is amazing, and I'm glad to have found what you've done.
Great stuff AJ....I remember seeing a picture of you as a toddler with you Dads hat on a greatest hits album of your Dad's songs and I wondered what became of you...well now I know ...a musician and a talented one at that in your own right.
This song is one of the most refreshing songs, I've heard in the music industry in a very long time. I am so glad to have found AJ Croce, his music stirs yet his melodies bring you into the song. I like his unique style. I was a huge fan of Jim Croce & started listening him when I was very young. Can't wait to see AJ Croce live! Amazing, God bless you!
Superb joy to my ear drum ! A massive fan of your Dad and so glad I came across your work ! Thank you. I am a UK artist /painter and listen to Jim Croce whilst at work... adding you to my playlist !
The apple don’t fall far from the tree. This is a very good song. Very well put together, from lyrics to arrangement. Extra points for the scantily clad beauty in the video, too.
This track is so well done. The piano is awesome. Some comments are saying it sounds like "Hey Jude", but I doubt AJ had "Hey Jude" in mind when he wrote the music. Having every LP available on line by AJ, I have been following his Career for a long time, and this track has his artistry in piano all over it. Comparing AJ to "The Beatles and Paul McCartney's famous musical score is a nice compliment I think, but purely coincidental.
I didn't even think in terms of Hey, Jude on first hearing this. After reading some of the, rather snide and disparaging, remarks, I listened to the song twice more. OK, there's the F, F7 to Bb change, but that's all. Not a crib.
I just found your channel I was a huge fan of your fathers and I am so glad his talent did not die with him and that he passed it on to you just this song reminds me of his talent, not his style I am so happy you have your own style I think he would be so very proud of you
I grew up listening to your dad. I am sure you have heard it ten thousand times but let me make it ten thousand and one....he was the best song writer ever. I understand the music industry wasn't a friend for him or your mom and others.... I hope in your case it will turn out different. The world needs music..Best of luck with your carrier ....

NICE! AJ! Can't hear your record label name on the interview, is it "STEVENS?" HELLO, AJ! Write Write Write-it's in your DNA, Sweety!, INGRID! All my friends make fun of me when I say "Sometime, Somewhere, Someone' is gonna look back on Jim's influence with SONGS written to Jim Croche's wonderfully new (in the 70's) chord charts, and is going to do what I did on "You Used to be my Lover"---This is not an advertisement for ME, this I MY MEMORAL TO Jim. of HIM---The chords were the same, exact chords as Jim so carefully played behind is melody of " I'll Have to say I Love You in a Song"> Allot of who were self-taught, would take his chords and HONESTLY APPLY OUR OWN LYRICS., sometimes just as an exercise! If you took my track and sang his song along with that same track (hard to do because I'm singing the lyrics and playing guitar simultaneously, on the same track ) You could hear Jim's lyrics coming through too! I've never stolen a song in my life---but this song IS Jim's backup, totally, try it sometime! I probably had my strings all tuned down a step, as I used slinky steel and still used to have trouble holdin' em down. Even Jim's backup harmony was uniquely executed and made other harmonies of his time, a bit bland to me!Someday I'd like to play that song for INGRID. tony castillo Possibly or even probably unconsciously or even consciously inspired by...but so what. The Beatles did it as well as just about anyone who's "made it". And it's hardly hurting McCartney's sales. So I'm good with that.
I need to come back to say this
A.J. is not getting the recognition he deserves!
your dad smiles every time you sing, its a good thing. love your music!

Talent is deep in the Croce blood
His voice is smooth as butter and that piano is jammin’. Wonderful, cool piece. Well done, AJ 👏🏻❤️
- "Coraline" words and music by A.J. Croce
nice. Hey who is the girl?
I just found out about your music. It took me long enough, haha. I'm a huge fan of your father's and I'm glad to see you have his talent!
This is awesome... wish I would hear it on the radio.....
The great Joe Cocker I could see him covering this song.
Need more music A.J. bravo!
I'm in love with his style, his voice and his soul. This is getting it done and doing it right!
That is so true, to the heart.
Great piece of work! Why isn’t this song getting radio play? I would jam to this on a drive home from work!

What a lovely song. A true son of the great Jim Croce.
Definitely amazing. AJ is truly one of a kind; no comparisons necessary.
Saw him first at North Sea Jazz in the Hague, somewhere in the nineties. Reconnecting tonight at Lantaren Rotterdam! Go AJ!
Wow man..I'm speechless, lyrics and your style is awesome....love it man...love it....
I missed him in Durango Colo, at fort Lewis college and it will always be my biggest regret.
Cool song! The chords sound just like the Beatles song, Hey Jude.

Yep. If it's rock or pop and was recorded after 1970, odds are good it's going to sound like SOMETHING by the Beatles.
I didn't even think in terms of Hey, Jude on first hearing this. After reading some of the, rather snide and disparaging, remarks, I listened to the song twice more. OK, there's the F, F7 to Bb change, but that's all. Not a crib.
I just discovered AJ and I really enjoy his music. You have worked to develop discipline and musical skill.
I love this song !
love those old houses. love this song too.
Great song. I love the piano.
Nice job. Smooth consolidation of lots of good influences...

Reminds me of The Beatles a bit. Can't wait to buy your next album. This year needs to end already

Of course AJ looks & sounds like his father, but wow, I hear John Lennon in the music & lyrics, piano playing, & song style. Elvis Costello too.

Incredibly talented.

his dad is more of deep thinker when he sings which is very very unusual and very interesting.

He looks like his dad but he also looks like the guy that plays shane walsh on the walking dead lol. Think his name is John Bethnal
He's the son.
