Logan, the only person who wouldn't have died there because of his healing is also the only person that actually bothers to thank him
The irony
I think Logan actually thanked him for saving Charles and Erik because Charles and Erik are the main reason why he is there. If they would've gotten killed by before Charles could stop Mystique from killing Trask, the mission would've been a fail.
He’s Canadian after all

The fact that this movie was made 10 years ago and looks 100 times better than the vfx from Flash
Yeah…that’s kind of embarrassing for Warner/DC 🙃 like…they should have aspired to be better then this scene or else why even try at all? 🤷🏼♂️
I cry and cringe every time I think about the flash vfx
Well they are accomplishing two different things. This is a practical slowing time while the flash is going so fast that textures and light are distorted
@@thefilmrookie3099 that’s just cope
@@thefilmrookie3099 nooooooo they are two speedsters, and flashing colors or not, we’re basically watching different filmmakers expressing characters going so fast they can’t be perceived by the human eye. And Bryan Singer expresses it in a much more exciting and dynamic way, whereas the flash just looks boring and…lazy 🤷🏼♂️ like it’s not creative at all, but with quicksilver it feels fresh and new. You’re probably gonna come up with some BS convoluted way to prove me wrong, but it’ll be stupid. I’ll wait 🤔
Fun Fact: This scene took seven months of vfx work to achieve as it involved a LIDAR scan of the set with incredibly detailed CGI props, multiple particle effects, and carefully compositing in Evan Peters' performance.
That's the thing, isn't it- 7 months of intensive work.
When people complain about bad effects in recent movies, it's worth remembering just how understaffed and overworked the vfx studios are.
They can make incredible things- they just need the time and money to do so...
I hope everyone involved in this scene was able to appreciate it after. Because that can be hard after staring at something for 7 months. Also, that they won the lottery many times.
@@paqman5441 Fast, quality, cheap. You only get to pick two. (Though I'm not sure if "lengthy, cheap, quality" really goes together)

Time dilation is explained in this scene. The faster you travel through space, the slower you travel through time. The song symbolizes that scene perfectly.

He was running faster than sound (and bullets), so he would not be able to hear the music.

I feel like they utilized Quicksilver so well in these movies outside of the official MCU. These older takes on the characters for X-Men were so well done, but really fun and exciting. Less super-hero like, a bit more drama and funny as hell in their own way. Very well done.

I’m I just realize this scene has something that has been missing from superhero films since they were so big. An attempt to make us genuinely amazed at the amount of power someone has. The pure awe one feels at what makes this guy super should be integral to the genre.
Man of Steel is pretty controversial but that was definitely something Snyder and Cavil completely nailed with how the flying feels.
Absolutely dude!! We just look past the amazement.

I think The Boys did a fantastic job with the way Homelander's power is demonstrated. He's just so unstoppable it's immensely awe inspiring.
I do think that his power somewhat creates a problem in the writer's room. Especially in season 2 it feels completely unbelievable how the scrappy underdogs with no superpowers manage to continue having an impact. It's really hard to believe that Homelander hasn't completely destroyed them yet.
No. What's missing in most superhero films is showing us heroes saving people from dangers in creative manner instead of having CGI slugfest with bad guys.

Love that he wears the goggles to protect his eyes... It’s the little details
And he needed to protect his ear byusing earphones or else the speed might burst his eardrums..
Though technically he'd be entering who knows how many G in the light speed universe that I'm not even sure if his whole body can take it.. The air resistance itself or the soup and water might be enough to put bruises if not holes in his body.. But great scene nevertheless..
@@winslowtjiptadi6359 yes
he have super resistence
His glasses shattered in the video because of the water in the air
Idk how he still has eyes
It’s the little details like that they pay attention to but not the fact that he shouldn’t be able to touch a bullet traveling at full speed lmao
MasterRDF Shhhh m a g i c
Who ever made the slow-mo effects should have won an Oscar.
Lol The Slow mo effect is nothing 😂😂😂 the choice of music however...
They did... lol
edit: they were only nominated
ScarTactic5 oh ok. Thx for letting me know
@@ulysses4989 its the combination that made this so amazing one of my all time favorite movie scenes are this one and the one where he saves everyone from the house exploding
Should’ve or should have. Theres no such thing as should of
Love this actor, this character, and these scenes. Just so clever and well done!
One of the greatest scenes of all time
I’m taking a break from “Dahmer” to remind myself how wholesome Evan Peters can be… a phenomenal actor and completely underrated!
exactly!

Same!
Me too!
Underrated? I think not, the guy just won an emmy

I’m commenting from 2023. We need these visual effects artist back after the flash we need you more than ever.
It's 2024 and this video is still the number one vfx
This is literally my favorite CGI scene in any movie, ever. The music, the pacing, the acting, the effects, it's all absolutely flawless.
It would've been a lot better if Quicksilver had SOME flaws. He can basically get out of any situation in these films.
Like in this scene, it would've been better if he ran into some benign object, like a butter knife, because he didn't see it, and since he was moving at super speed it broke his ankle or something like that. For every superpower there should be some draw-back to create more tension. Otherwise it's boring.
It’s a genuine goosebumps moment… the team that put this together are flippin geniuses
@@jeffw8218 if that's how he experiences time, then just moving through air in that speed is like moving through sand, because air moves so slowly that getting it out of his face quick enough would require such a high amount of force. But as seen in this scene, his super speed also has a built-in super strength, since he was able to do that, move objects at an incredibly fast rate, and keep his body intact without breaking a sweat. No wonder he's one of the most op characters in X-Men. His strength would almost rival Superman at that point.
@@othamneil8958 Yeah exactly. Invincible characters are boring and dumb, and require more nuance or better threats to be interesting.
I'm not exactly a quicksilver genius, but he does have one main weakness: if he makes any mistake while moving it'll all come crashing down, if he slips, he'll fly off the battlefield, so it's not without flaws
This scene is so fucking fantastic. Honestly. A lot of the Wolverine and X-men movies are hit or miss, but this is good even by itself.
u said bad word
Agreed, This Scene and this movie was the best in the X-Men series
Days of Future past was really good
For gosh sakes, watch your language.. 😁
This is the best X Men movie.
Still love those scences with him. Also the detail when he redirects the kitchen blades so they don't hit the guards. He might hurt them, but he makes sure no ones seriously injured or dead.
I never watched the movies, but I always used to watch these quicksilver scenes, they were just awesome and mind-blowing for my little brain!
His stereo must be playing at 1000x speed if he’s able to listen to a whole song in a millisecond
A guy said its sped up by 20x 50x and 100x depending on his speed moments so he limits his usage and since he doesnt have complete control yet
@@mrtophat7167 Quicksilvers power includes time manipulation. He is simply playing the Walkman at normal speed but within it's own time bubble so that he can listen to it. Another example of this is him drinking a can of soda at super speed but he's able to speed up the rate it's falling through the can
@@onlinegiraffe6625
Dayum he probably one of the most OP mutants if that's the case.
Wish he get more screen time tho cuz his super speed has a lot potential.
