I started taking TMG 2 weeks ago. Went from a consistent 150s/90 to 138/81. It helps the body process homocysteine. High levels may cause high blood pressure in some people according to pubmed.

Thanks Dr. Richardson for that great and simple to understand explanation on blood pressure. My BP machine also has readings for pulse. Would you please comment on your take on pulse readings as mine hover around 38-40 bpm. I am a male 78 years old. Thanks in advance for your response.

I'm on dialysis and my BP seems to drop a lot usually is between 66/48 to 118/58
I get very lightheaded and feel like I'm going to pass out. Had an echo cardiogram and it came back good.

Dr. Who determines what the norm is? Every few years a group of doctors
Get together and change what the norm is..Your body is self healing
And self maintaining ..Our body is smarter than your doctor, it’s that
They don’t know it..If your np goes up, it’s generally for a reason. Clogged
Arteries, over weight, or just plain growing old. But, we’re all put in a norm.
Higher bp is a must for some. The last meeting of the group of doctors
Determined that 150/80 was norm for folks over 60. Bout time they figured
That out..The traditional 120/30 for everyone, regardless of age, health,
Past history, environment and so many other factors didn’t matter. Stress
Is one of the most common reason for higher bp, but the dr, very rarely
Asks these questions…There in a hurry to get to the next patient. Here’s
A pill and all will be well, see you in 6 months…SAD..
    Dennis

Oh good. a random commenter on the internet says that because doctors update their opinions when new data comes out, I don't have to worry about high blood pressure! Nice! Pass me the salt shaker!

How about the studies by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) who discovered that anything bellow 140/90 is normal blood pressure and that anything between that and what you're saying is people being wrongly diagnosed with blood pressure.
