This is sucha random comment 🤭
The exact video I have been looking for. Now, I can go purchase the 50mm f1.8. By the way! I love your dentition and the way you talk, I love how your melanin is popping although the video
Actually, if you turn it around it IS a macro lens!
Great, concise video with lots of interesting information. Thank you.
Unusable at f1.8 for portraits, too soft and does not sharpen up acceptably until f2.8. This has been documented in several reviews, so not pointing out this flaw in the lens is a disservice to your viewers.
Thank you for all the info. Really useful video.
It would be great if you could cover video recording with this lens.
You are so cool. I really enjoyed your presentation-great teaching (reviewing each suggestion) and totally friendly!!
FINALLY a video with info that's useful!
Incredible tips. Thanks for making me better!
Good to know how to use this lens. Great tips.
Very useful advice... tested it out and the images looked too soft at 1.8 lol
try f3.5
I agree, @cachedOut unusable at f1.8 for portraits, too soft and does not sharpen up acceptably until f2.8. This has been documented in several reviews, so not pointing out this flaw in the lens is a disservice to you viewers.
Thank you. Great tips and yeah, I can image it getting toasty with a hoody on inside. Lol. Cheers.
just BC it CAN open to 1.8, doesn't mean you SHOULD!
From my experience with it, that lens make images soft as f*ck at 1.8, plus there's a lot of problems with chromatic aberrations..
open to 2.8 -2.5 max for a decently sharp image!
REMEMBER.... there's a REASON its only $200!!!
it is a macro lens if you reverse it and hold it against the camera. you have to experiment with focus, though.
Take lens off camera and turn lens around and hold onto the camera this will give very close photos of say bees or inside flowers please try it......
I read that the sweet spot for this lens is about 2.2 and not 1.8.
Great info., man!
Which camera r u using to shoot this video?
Nice vid! Stay encouraged, keep filming.
Thank you! Really Appreciate that!
Awesome video. First i have watched and really enjoyed it. I am trying to learn a bit about photography and i am now curious to watch other videos. Subscribed.
Great job kept it understandable!
Anyone have issues with this lens kinda jumping back and forth when in AF mode? It’s like it tries to focus and then the motor just starts going back and forth and it doesn’t really stop. Not sure how to resolve.
i had this same issue, the AF is good in certain situations, but using manual focus seems to be the best way to achieve decent results
Great tips! Nice video editing as well :D
Nice smile and thank you
Wow amazing bro thank you bro... High quality video and sound and useful content thank you 🔥🔥
Can you use this lens in auto focus?
You can turn it around and use it as a micro lense
i just got his lense 2weeks ago... cant wait to put it in use. heard so much good about it. thank u :)
I have taken some close up of flying humming birds with this lens
The second u said "what's goin on everyone" I subbed u just look like the nicest guy ever!
His smile got me already. Personality game so good bro!
YOU ARE UNDERRATED MAN

Maybe you didn't screw it well. Try to screw it better. To click.
Thanks so much for these great tips I have the canon90d and have the slightest idea how to use it, lol, great content , great explanation for this lens and I have this lens I just bought it a few days ago, it is time for me to practice😀👍

You’re welcome! Glad it helped!
Thank you sir, can't wait to get one
Would this lens work well for taking photos of the ocean and beach?
absolutely
@@wangchung_8541 would it be recommended to put a lens filter on to protect against salt water mist in the air?
Nice
Great info 📸🙌🏼
Thanks! Glad it helped!!
Is this compatible to 400d canon? Thanks
Hey! Yes this will work with that one
The content is great, but I would recommend being around an arms length away from the camera and to leave close to a quarter of the shot as spec above your head, the whole time you were talking it felt too close and somewhat awkward.
Your awesome thanks man
What does the iso do if not let more or less light. I guess it controls the amount of light in a different way. Can you explain. I suppose I can find another video about that, so it's fine. Good video, thanks. I use the nifty fifty with my m50 and a speed booster. I like lenses too. Nothing quite like a perfect lens for the occasion.
Sure thing! You’re right, ISO basically brings in more light. It creates artificial light to make up for the natural light in the shot. Only thing to be mindful of with it, is that it also introduces more noise into your image. So too much ISO will make the footage grainy and not as clean.
@@CachedOut what exactly is artificial light? I thought it was the sensitivity of the sensor. And why does it make the photos or video grainy? I get that it does that but why? Do you know? I guess it's not important to know why. I am always curious about why things happen, not only if they do or not.
I've had one of these for a while, but am not a professional. Thanks for tips, very clear.
Just bought at 50mm at the weekend, so thanks for this very concise video and yep, should have taken the hoodie off ;)
Thanks bro
I use mine on a canon m50 m2, and it can work for macro and landscape with a view of an 80mm full frame.
Great vid!
Thanks for the help.
You’re welcome! Glad it helped!
Thank You!
Bro amazing video, loved the content. felt you're little too close to the camera tho.
I just got this lens for my camera! Still playing around with it.
So helpful!! Needed this info for tomorrow!
Great video bro. Like your presentation. Keep posted videos
Thx bro I have that lens and I almost never use it until this video
Could you do one of these videos for a macro lense?
Sure thing I’ll work on one for macro lens as well. Good suggestion
Here's a neat little trick. Remove the nifty-fifty, flip it around backwards and loosely hold it in place, and you have a macro lens.
You had a lot of great tips in here, thanks!
WHAT ABOUT VIDEOS?
Very helpful!
Great review! I am wondering how good is for video?
Most of my shots contain a lot of noise, shaky and unprofessional 😕😕😕
High shutter speed, bro, just experiment
Thanks 🙏
What is the maximum distance for a good photo as well?
I love your smile
what a great explanation,soo helpful
Great vid!
Well done
Great video..
Good job
can you zoom with this lense on video?
this is a prime lens so it does not zoom
Turn the lens around then you have macro lens 😎
great tips
Longest most unnecessary intro ever
I think this video would be 10 times better if the camera was much closer to your face.
