- If you're a fan of Warhammer, miniature painting or Virtual Reality, then settle in and watch the crossover begin...
I love VR and recently I downloaded the game DEMEO where you can paint a miniature... but in VR!
Join me as I explore and experiment and generally have THE BEST TIME EVER with the fascinating combination of these two worlds! And see the (maybe questionable) results for yourself....
This is definitely felt like a one-of-a-kind experience that I think you won't want to miss!!
Also its my first time trying out the more 'gaming' side of my interests on this channel so let me know what you think in the comments :D

The song used in the intro/outro of this video is my own track 'Flight of the Starship Seraphim 9' which you can listen to here:

“My hands are disjointed and have no crotch” t shirt when?
With a dreadnought on it
This is just how it feels in VR, it's cool and disorienting and then it's cool again
10/10 would buy
Actually yelled out loud at that
"I have no mouth and I must scream" remake
Definitely a miniature painter. "Im in no rush, i can always finish him later". *Achievement unlocked* creating a VR box of shame.
Louise's VR mini painting is still better than my real life mini painting...
lool
I feel you Brother.
yeah...
I'm not sure my mini painting will ever be as good as Louise's or any of the pro painters I see online or at Games Workshop but I live in naieve hope.
Hahah, mine too.
The pure sound of enjoyment during the entire video is the best part!
I hope you enjoyed my enjoyment 🤣
@@roguehobbiesIt cheered me up after a fairly crummy day, thanks!
Have to agree. I caught myself grinning ear to ear just over the gushing and enjoyment you can just -hear-. It was so wholesome!
Yes!
I'm not sure why but watching you paint this fine fellow in VR with the pallete of colours helped me understand highlighting a lot more, possibly a combination of the bigger model, seeing the thought process of chosing from set colours, the enthusiasm and the VR fun game so thank you and please keep making these videos they're fun and I had no idea this was even a thing in VR.
Oh well that's good! I didn't expect this to be at all educational so that's a plus!
This 🙏
I agree! Something about the limited palette and VR zoom makes it somehow easier to grasp what's happening
My 5 year old daughter caught sight of this one whilst I was scrolling and demanded we watch and she loved it.
Awww! I'm glad!
Gonna dig out my BB rulebook and show her some artwork tomorrow!
This was super cute and fun to watch. Also he doesn't look sad at all, he looks sheepish. Like "Thankies for painting me."
Oh how I wish I could scale up a mini to paint the eyes irl
Very useful
His face while painting the armband makes me feel like he’s saying “moooooom can you put me down nowww?”
Absolutely love the manic seven-year-old "I'm here to do a very specific thi...OOOOH ARCHERY! Okay. Where's the paint roo...OOOH LOOK AT THE STUFFED ANIMALS!" energy in this video.
I did my best to stay on track 🤣
@roguehobbies I can pretty much guarantee a lot of us watched thinking "oh, I wonder what would happen if she clicked on *that*..." a LOT.
Your enthusiasm is so pure. Nothing contrived about it, so refreshing these day.
You’re doing great! You’ve come a long way since the first time I saw you on Warhammer+.
Thank you :')
I could watch this all day . As an adult there's no way I should have enjoyed this this much
Says who?
Having something that you truly enjoy is a blessing!
Louise's excitement in this video is so great it brightened my day
The amount of joy you have while doing this is SO awesome. I love it! You rock. Moar please!
Thank you 😄
Presumably v2 will come with a virtual cupboard with infinite pile of shame...
“My Hands Are Disjointed and I Have No Crotch” needs to be on a channel T-shirt. Maybe along with a shirt that properly conveys the threatening aura of “Lick the Brush” being repeated like seven times. 🤣🤣
This was super cool, i wish real life had that undo button lol
Same lol
I love this.
No mess, no clutter, gravity defying, size altering and an undo button!
The I have no mouth and I cannot scream reference got me😅
No interest in VR, but full interest in an unfiltered Suggs Stream of Consciousness, which this video was. 14/10 would watch more of you narrating your thoughts while painting.
4:47 its obviously not a "goblin holding a book", it is clearly a friendly goblin student delivering pizza as a side job to pay his magic academy !
I love pizza goblin
@@roguehobbies I love pizza gobblin', too!🍕Omnomnom🍕
A whole universe of tales hangs upon the humble pizza box
This is cool but also incredibly dystopian. You did a great job. Please see if you can paint it IRL and do comparison.
We absolutely need videos, where Louise is painting miniatures in VR, but it's just footage of her from the side, without footage from VR x)
I love how off the cuff you are in this video, Very funny and entertaining. Also "Dippy Dippy..Paint Strippy" Will be my new BattleCry.
Louise, you smashed this. It was really cool to see paint the mini in VR. I did not expect it to end up looking so good.
I'd watch more of this, it's oddly relaxing.
It didn't feel relaxing 🤣
4:36 my goofy ass: "he got a pizza"
"dippy dippy paint strippy" is gonna live in my head for a long time
I think sometimes people forget that hobbies are meant to be enjoyed. This video was brimming with joy!
But also, what a great experiment! Good one ya :)
In a weird way the fact we as the viewer can see precisely see where your painting has shown me where you as an artist choose to paint in certain ways, so whilst you may struggle to paint nnm I've now seen how you'd go about doing it and as someone who is an amateur painter it's good for reference regardless if it's golden demon level or not great job! I hope your proud of your work.
This is so weird. Can't wait for Powerwash Simulator!
Perfect video to end a stressfull week, so much fun to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it 🥹
That's kind of cool, I didn't realize that the VR programs had come this far. Nice paint on the little VR mini too, didn't expect anything less from you though. I love Rogue Hobbies videos and content.
Thanks so much 😊
100% top notch escapism, I now feel chilled haha. Crazy how much the VR paint job mimics your real life style
This video just made my week really, the pure joy in all of this is just unreal!
This is officially the cutest video you've made. Your joy is infectious.
Louise's VR paining is better than everyone else's actual real-life painting!
Cool little guy!
Also the game "Moonbreaker" has a pretty well done painting system
This looks so fun!
Highly recommend it's super fun
From the start of the video, you were so adorably excited. Even trying to get the woosh transition right in VR made me smile.
The "mini" turned out so good and definitely had that Louise, Rogue Hobbies flare and charm.
I don't know if I've seen someone so enthusiastic about a VR nerdstore.
I'd like to see how far you can take that.
Weird, but neat and kinda fun to watch.
Thanks for another absolute gem of positivity and delight. Really bumped up my mood from a dismal week, just in time for the weekend!
9000% wholesome and looks like a fun cosy game to try out whenever my rich friends let me play on their VR stuff lol
Looking forward to the joyful gasp supercut. :)
I'm sittin at my desk half hour ago trying to get motivated going "When the hell my girl got a video out next" and the warp smiled down upon me.
Sounds like some Heresy... INQUISITION!!!
I've already burnt my condo down as atonement.@@fightplanNr10
Loved it, keep thinking out of the box for mini video themes!
Awesome video. Keep the good vibes flowing. You bring whimsy into the hobby space.
"I've painted SO many goblins!"
Louise? Paint a goblin?? I don't believe it!
It's more likely than you think!
*insert Ron Burgundy "I don't believe you" meme*@@roguehobbies
Would like to see you try your hand at painting a miniature in Moonbreaker - a tabletop-esque game that has a much more full featured miniature painting experience built into it.
With VR size-changing abilities, all guys can be Little Guys!!
Really fun video! Your genuine, honest enthusiasm made me smile!
First premiere I watched was the goblins and second is this
that's pretty cool! I wish I could have the undo/redo button and size adjustable minis!
I love your joy and immersion. I can’t properly watch the visual because I get motion sickness (same reason I’m unlikely to be able to VR myself any time soon), but listening to it still brought a smile to my face
Oh thank you! Sorry about the motion sickness though ❤️
@@roguehobbies I’m sorry too, it looked like it was so much fun!! I loved your joy and the end result for your little artist dude
I am enjoying you painting a miniature in VR.
Not for a moment did I believe this would turn out so good. Unacceptable. Now I can't blame the software for my shortcomings!
Impressive work, I had expected it to be like most paint apps just a base colour and that’s about it. The mini looks like he has been stolen right out of your goblin town range
Fun video, thanks for exploring these new frontiers for us! 🤩
The start of the video is hilarious, and then, like you actually painting the troll, you get addicted to watching on how it turns out. Getting the 2D gem to look 3D (in VR!!) is jaw droppingly good, and I'm not at all jealous on how easy you made that look *eye squint with added pudding face*. A thoroughly enjoyable video and, strangley enough a painting tutorial as well 😂 👌
Really happy after watching this:) And yes you should be proud!! 😁
Thanks bud!
This was both cool and fun. I just love to see you play and have fun.
You do art and miniatures in any media you like.
I'm here for it =)
The one thing that might get me into VR, would be the chance to stomp around as a big mech, disregarding property rights and the well-being of the squishy beings around me. lol
I’d really love to see you try and replicate him in real life. Great video btw
To be honest my biggest take away from this video is that from this point forwards I am going to be happily chanting "dippy dippy paint strippy" everytime I strip a miniature.
This is a gem of content. I would LOVE to see you give that mini some more love. So much potential!
Ma'am, that table has 4 seats. I want to see a co-op stream with some other painttubers.
All of your miniature videos are great you always bring so much positivity and fun to the grim darkness of the far future. I’ve always liked the sillier side warhammer and you are amazing at highlighting that side of things.
Great experiment and I like how it turned out! Was fun to watch you play around and explore.
this is by far the most wholesome miniature painting video i watched this year :D
This was actually amazing, one of my fav videos of yours!
good video. watched it in vr. double vr goodness
Love the exploratory nature of your videos!
Excellent video. Your positive take and your passion is clear and profoundly enjoyable. Keep it up.
the cool thing is that there is kind of a natural overlap between minis painting and computer graphics. like a lot of concepts carry over. like washing your model with shade is pretty much the equivalent of AMBIENT OCCLUSION which is what's baked onto the all these models as a default. speaking of baking, NMM is pretty much that - baking specular and diffuse reflections into the texture map instead of leaving it to the lighting and shadier engines... which in our world is just.... light and materials.
This was a really cool concept for a video, and great job on the miniature!
Long time Demeo player here, this was an amazing video! Your troll looks better than the one in game, in my opinion. Hoping you paint the rest of the available minis! And it would also be fun to see you play through one of the books to show them off in action!
Aw thank you! I need to get into the main game a lil more ...
This was soo enjoyable! The fun you had really projected out, and made for an engaging watch that I laughed along with ☺️👍
That was a cool vid and something bit different 😊 And absolutely, your goblin styley!
Watching Louise paint in VR is teaching me so much about how to paint in real life. Thank you.
Your happy squeals and sounds of joy are amazing. Such a cute video.
It's sooo fun when you have fun. And the paintjob was genuinely awesome. What a cool game.
This was so adorable :D VR sure is amazign :)
Rad result! love painting on Demeo!
This was Amazing Louise! More please!
its good to know that the digital creatures of the future will also be able to paint minis. this was a very fun exploration of VR, its a fun technology!
if costs weren't such an obstacle I would love to do this co-op with my buddies across the ocean!
Oh my days Louise this looks so cool! As a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s is very nostalgic. Also that VR mini looked amazing! You honestly did really well lol 😊
Even in VR your style comes thru. Just amazing and beautiful.
“I wish to purchase the baby.”
I feel you, I also had a breakdown when you put the brush on his pawn haha
Not many videos get me excited to get a new VR game, but this is right up my ally. Finally the weather won't stop me from priming lol
Keep these videos coming please, this was incredible.
I absolutely loved this video! 😊
You sound like you're having so much fun whilst doing it which is what the hobby should be 👍
Amazing to see how much technology has moved on - imagine if you could paint in VR and then 3D print out what you painted! 😲😁
I want an entire series of this! I painted my first 3d print miniature and it came out.... terribly. So this is helping! The sound effects, music, and your enthusiasm are incredibly relaxing too!
Feel like that troll suffered some serious brain damage there. Looks snappy though.
Haha, so nice! That model looks really good (not that I am surprised).
That was really cool and unexpected!
Keep it up!
This was a cool idea! You are an amazing artist to be that talented in VR! I enjoyed your enthusiasm as always
I had never though of miniature painting in VR before, but this looks kind of cool! If only I could grow and shrink my physical miniatures at will....
Another fun one! Thanks for the share!!
"Am I going crazy?"
I think you have to be a little crazy to be a goblin fan, so you're all good.
Loved the energy throughout! Very wholesome!
