So this was a monumental bit of effort but here is the full playthrough! And of course, would It be a Lathrix full playthrough without an editing error? At around 34:00 there is a misplaced clip due to an error on my part when labeling recording sessions. Time is a weird thing here. To be fair going through 4-5 days worth of Past Lathrix waffling on about everything and having to put that into a cohesive video Is a toll on even the strongest mind... And I ain't got the strongest mind. I hardly have a mind.
just think how hard a multiplayer version of your playthroughs happend and you made a video with both pov you could make this much harder for your self
You missed destroying the world around the neutron star you might be suprised if you do it ;) and maybe try tripple endgame crisis with the new mode wich make them spawn after each other
Lathland: *has dyslexia and a speech impediment.* Also Lathland: *focuses channel on several hour long playthroughs of games with both text reading and commentary.* Lathlands mother: *Raised no quitters* Thanks for another great vid :)
Two hours and forty-four minutes? Better watch this a few times because Stellaris damned well IS a series I wish to see continue! May this empire be toxic in all ways except for the channel! Hail Lathrix, Lord of all Potatoes!
Consecrated Worlds was indeed changed in the most recent update to add a glowing effect to designated planets, the intensity of which scales with the potency of the designation, with the Spiritualist FE holy worlds giving off the most intense effect. There was also mention of Toxic worlds having better odds for Consecration when using the Knights origin. According to the wiki, there's a 14.3% chance to get the best designation on them (the 9 basic planets get 10% by contrast, and become unavailable to use).
I love how despite the massive push for short content you're still here pumping out ALMOST THREE HOUR LONG vids. They're perfect to put on in the background while doing other stuff just to keep my mind occupied
I know Stellaris can be rough on the algorithm, but I absolutely adore your Stellaris gameplay. You come up with such interesting empires, and I’ve gotten a lot better at Stellaris by watching you play. I’d love to see more of this series, the Overtuned origin is fun and I think you’d enjoy trying it out!
someone else probably said but if you dont take the colossus you get a relic which allows you to create more knight habitats which can be used to cheaply mess with the crisis
the whole quest you gotta play in one of two ways your getting the colossus so focus on the planet based buffs when possible since when u get the toxic god it ruins your total knight amount and buffs or take all the knight buffs save maybe the ship dmg one and make ur home planet a tech world and focus the knight buffs rewards since youll be able to use the relic to make more habs w knights in other systems thus letting you crank alloy output and tech and maybe unity if you dipped them into it plus those stations can have insane pop assembly if you chose the right option during the quest line too but then you need and want to get habitat ascension perks to maximize each station overall so it really does make you have to play a certain way to get the most out of the quest also the toxic god doesnt count as a colossus in terms of allowing total war so u still gotta do claims and such but it does allow you to be very very cheeky and just wipe the enemys planets and thus their empire out and just all their space becomes free realestate 🤣 so claim ones u want for less influence then building stations wipe them out then take what u want from the rest
Honestly, I love having the dialogue being read out in entirety, even if it makes the video longer. Longer videos like these are bread and butter for people like me who need something in the background while we work, so longer is better! You have a good voice for it and narrate in enough detail I can keep an idea of what's happening even if I'm looking away, though I do like to pop back and pause to read the game dialogue.
Joining the petition for more reach for these stellaris videos. While not as insane in terms of personal focus for me compared to whacky ftd builds, stellaris really is the type of content I gladly come back to. Thanks a lot for your videos
As someone who got into this game because of Lath, and buying ALL of the dlcs because I love it so much, I *screamed* YES when I saw this video without reading the entire title... then I saw the origin... AAAAAAAAAA
Amazing Playthrough. Even not English native, it's really easy to understand you and all the time a pleasure to see thoose gameplay. Thanks a lot and please continue like that.
i always love these full playthroughs, its interesting to see how Lathrix plays while having something great to listen and relax to. keep up the great work!
I absolutely LOVE this origin. I think it's the most complex one so far and that makes it incredibly fun. Not to mention that you can decide to get a "free" colossus without even needing the ascension perk, and a colossus with its own defenses to boot!
About Ultima Vigilis, it is indeed new, and completing the archeology has a potential effect on the end game crysis: After successfully investigating the archaeology site there is a 50% chance to receive an ominous warning. In that case the endgame crisis will take place within 5 years after the end-game year.
Love the Stellaris content each and every time. Keep on keeping on, I’m sure there’s enough of us who love these videos to break through the algorithm.
Just to let you know because you were talking about it close to the end, contingency has equal shields and armour, with very low hull. Double Penetration weapons (that is arc emitters, disruptors, and cloud lightning) are likely the best choice, though a combo of strike craft and kinetics would also likely be quite good. Edit: just saw you got them and checked, now you know Your combo of kinetics and a large amount of strike craft as well as the titans was a decent enough combo against them, the perdition beams would have helped against their armour as well, and your high shields did well against their primarily energy weaponry. Whatever little strike craft they do have were annihilated by your own ones before doing any damage. also btw, you didn't need to switch from the divine enforcer to destroy the sterilization hubs, the divine light overloads their ai and turns them into broken worlds
I went penetrator weapons in one of my runs, after it chumped the Unbidden, and the contingency ate my fleets for breakfast. So I went for mixed armaments after that. But as Lathrix found out at the end, sometimes quantity is a quality all of its own
I want more knight RP in stellaris with Lathrix's beautiful, if sometimes silly, voice. Pray continue thine uploads good sir. Thou art doing god's labour.
Fantastic video. Thank you for taking the time to make it. I really like playing Knights of the Toxic God. With the right civics and traits, they are very strong.
I love these style of vid lathrix! Perfect to fall asleep to, and each full playthough lasts me several nights of resuming wherever I fell asleep at. Toxins for the toxins god!
Thank Lathrix for all of your insightful playthroughs in stellaris. You are, to me, the reason I even got into stellaris to begin with so I hope you continue with these full playthroughs!
i specifically didn’t play/read about this origin just because i wanted my first impression to be from your video! Love your content keep up the good work :)
Thank you so much for still doing these longplay videos, I always love watching these! The toxic faction looks amazing and just exactly the kind of theme I love too.
I never really managed to figure out Stellaris and progress through even the mid-game. But I absolutely love watching your vids. So i'll just relax here in my chair with my minor covid symptoms and listen and enjoy a new origin :)
Perfect entertainment is not only that which takes ones focus, but which can also be thrown into the background as a tasteful support of your daily grind. This play through is like a book on tape but for a video game.
Love these kinds of videos! Did you know by the way you can now set your construction ships to automatically build outposts? They will not build observation posts or hyperrelays, but they will build mining and research outposts!
I was missing your stellaris videos, Tbh ur videos are very entertaining so i watch even i havent played the game but for stellaris that i also like to play, it's even more entertaining
Makes me think the toxic god is what the knights were looking for but due to past events it was so badly hurt that it no longer is as great as it once was.
The other option at the end of Knight quest chain would have let you start building multiple Knight Keeps, which all get the bonuses you had selected during the earlier options. It scales out of control real fast.
Adding a comment to help this vid, hopefully, do better, along with a thought. Strike craft acting 'weird' might be because of the fact that the stations/fleets are launching missiles, or other strike craft. Therefore their AI tells them to attack those things first, so they keep bouncing between things because they are going after the newly launched things. So when you get down to a single fleet, or station, they no longer need to bounce between them and can work 'right' once more. Not sure how it could be fixed if that is how it's set up as if it is well, they are set up to defend more then attack. Also love this longform content much more then super short vids, so here's hoping that this kind of thing keeps being posted in the future.
Was waiting to do my own toxic god playtrough before watching it. Now, Finally, I was able to enjoy your run and it was delightful. Thanks for the great content. Glory to the toxic god!
Btw, by far the easiest way to find a system that gets spawned in is to track it in the situation outliner. I always use it whenever a system spawns in, especially the rubicator system. A giant yellow hexagon pulsing on the map is very easy to find, even if the system itself is pretty hidden. It also works no matter what. Even if the system isn't known, or in a nebula or something, it will still pop up.
I do enjoy the long run videos that you put out, if im working on a paper or something difficult like that it really helps to have a funny UK man talking in the background
As someone who is practically allergic to UA-cam's attempts to overtake TikTok, I am very happy to see something I can let run for nearly three hours as I wind down from the messy work week.
The pools most venomous (and all the other planet modifiers) are on your home world from the beginning of the game, and preventing you from using the full power of your homeworld. If you don't upgrade them with the knight choices (the second choice was your first time to upgrade them), your homeworld is 5 districts smaller than it should be.
Lovely vid as always. I have tried to watch others do the Toxic empire but it's just not the same as these long vids from Lathrix. You put so much dedication into it and probably a lot of extra time compared to others to try and read for us despite your dyslexia. Take note UA-cam and put this mans videos with the algorithm!
I also took the mutagenic baths with my first Toxoids game, but I ended up phasing them out because they were causing serious stability issues on my developed industrial worlds. At first, it wasn't so bad, but they're also affected by techs that improve output and upkeep based on how much you've built up the colony's capitol building, so the effect just gets amplified. So a mostly developed industrial world ends up having severe stability issues because even though 20 districts and a tier 4 capitol building gives me +26% growth speed, I'm also getting -13% hab and happiness, which doesn't sit well when not all my specialists are free citizens. An indentured foundry worker might have 15% happiness and that's fine, but if they're all sitting around 0%, that's an issue. Plus, neither the job nor the building provide any amenities, so it's taking up a building slot and using consumer goods that I'd rather spend on Entertainer or Gene Clinic jobs that at least provide some additional effects. And since it relies on the number of districts, it takes YEARS of building up for the pools to have more of an effect than Gene Clinics. Still, I like the RP that they're basically bathing in chemicals derived from industrial tailings ponds in a fashion similar to Baron Harkonnen.
gotta say, i stopped watching your content for a few years, after you were kinda through with from the depths, but this kind of stellaris videos pulled me back in, absolutely love em.
So this was a monumental bit of effort but here is the full playthrough! And of course, would It be a Lathrix full playthrough without an editing error? At around 34:00 there is a misplaced clip due to an error on my part when labeling recording sessions. Time is a weird thing here.

I think there's another one around 1:05:00 - 1:06:00?
It is a nearly 3 hour long video, I imagine you can't just casually watch through the video to look for mistakes.
You missed destroying the world around the neutron star you might be suprised if you do it ;) and maybe try tripple endgame crisis with the new mode wich make them spawn after each other

He may be playing the toxoids, but toxicity is definitely not a trait of his.
Such a wholesome creator.
Absolutely worthy of every minute of watchtime and every sacrifice to the algorithm gods - whether they are toxic or not!
Praise be to this man. I'm going to sit through a hurricane watching this. Lathrix pulling through in hard times.
Same
Stay safe!
I’m not sitting through a hurricane but covid is doing it’s best to murder me so this video is a blessing
Say hi to Ian for us!
Same here, stay dry
Two hours and forty-four minutes? Better watch this a few times because Stellaris damned well IS a series I wish to see continue!
May this empire be toxic in all ways except for the channel!
Hail Lathrix, Lord of all Potatoes!
I have to wonder if I played this in the slowest speed how that would affect metrics overall

Didnt see anyone else mention this. was looking to see thru the comments to see what would happen. Thanks for mentioning it
the whole quest you gotta play in one of two ways
your getting the colossus so focus on the planet based buffs when possible since when u get the toxic god it ruins your total knight amount and buffs
or take all the knight buffs save maybe the ship dmg one and make ur home planet a tech world and focus the knight buffs rewards since youll be able to use the relic to make more habs w knights in other systems thus letting you crank alloy output and tech and maybe unity if you dipped them into it plus those stations can have insane pop assembly if you chose the right option during the quest line too but then you need and want to get habitat ascension perks to maximize each station overall so it really does make you have to play a certain way
to get the most out of the quest also
the toxic god doesnt count as a colossus in terms of allowing total war so u still gotta do claims and such but it does allow you to be very very cheeky and just wipe the enemys planets and thus their empire out and just all their space becomes free realestate 🤣 so claim ones u want for less influence then building stations wipe them out then take what u want from the rest
Stellaris: That series I wish to keep seeing continued. Thank you for the content Lathland!
Commenting because this is a series i would like to see continue in the future!
Liking and replying because Algol's rhythm is divine!
I third this comment! Would love to see it continue!
Praise be to the algorithm!
Praise the algorithm! 👏 🙌 👏 🙌
@@Epicdance001 By the rhythm of Algol, where we boogied down.
Yeah, we wept. When we remembered toxic god.

These long format stellaris vids are amazing to watch during the work hours. Thanks for making the day better. Much love Lathrix!
Love this kinda series so much thanks for bringing it back
These long form videos of yours are my absolute favorite, thank you for making them!
It's so much better watching a 2h episode than a 30 minute one. Amazing.

Adding a comment to help this vid, hopefully, do better, along with a thought.
The issue is that the situation did NOT pop up in the situation log - I did check a few times! :(
