Strike pack is good, but they do break after a bit. Still though, it lasted through the lifespan of two controllers. The PS attachment however, has been through the lifespan of 4 controllers so far and shows no sign of breakage whatsoever. I beat the hell out of mine and it works as good as the day I bought it, just bought a few more for $10 each from GameStop as backups, but haven't needed them. I really want to buy a custom controller, just for the button upgrades, but those prices for a controller that will last as long as a regular controller...I don't know if I can do it. It's bad enough when a regular controller has stick drift or a button malfunction after 6-8 months, one that costs $2-350? I just might lose it.
Really happy this has came out, I have had 2 scufs, most recent one broke after just 3 months. Planning on buying a dualshock and one of these attachments.
Another difference with the Strike Pack is you can assign two buttons to one paddle on the Strike Pack. For instance, Aim and Shoot can be assigned to the same paddle.
Great review, in my testing I didn’t get any buzzing on the headphone jack. Maybe it depends what headphones are used. I was actually surprised that viewers still use the headphone jack as I always thought it sounded terrible.
MacikSeba - so I use A50s but my viewers had concerns because the Strike Pack gave them a buzzing sound. I tried with a pair of Apple iPhone ear buds and Audio-Tecnica ATH-PDG1, both were perfect.
I prefer using wireless mics with these, I mainly use my steelseries artic 7’s or the wireless cloud flights but when it comes to wired I prefer using A40’s with these
It’s because the DualShock 5 will have back buttons. so in order for PS4 to be able to play next gen titles which are also released on PS4, it needs to have the same inputs to give the best gamer experience
@kiidkief yeah, there USED to be. All those companies moved onto 4 rear buttons/paddles since that's what's needed to replace the 4 front buttons and keep your thumbs on the sticks. 2 paddles are great as training wheels. But if u want to step up to the pro level, u need a minimum of 4 buttons on the back
I just want to say that I have owned this back button attachment from 2nd quarter of this year to 3rd quarter, and it is absolutely one of the best gaming purchases I have ever made. No more overpriced bullshit. And it works so fucking well.
Got mine new from gamestop for $10. Can't beat that. I think the price came down altogether. 30 was kinda pushing it. But even still is better than the 300 for scuf ect. I'm not saying it's better than a scuf. I've never owned one to be able to know. But for the price you can't beat this. Great gift for the gamer in your life

Loved my elite v1 was great. Just got some hands on with the v2 and everything with the v1 i had a complaint about they fixed, internal battery ✅ more options for trigger stops (even on the lowest setting a complete press of trigger will deliver full trigger power no more forgetting to switch back for racing games going 10mph) , smaller paddles ✅ xbox360 thumbsticks are a big plus... the tension adjustment is fantastic, compatible with the new upcoming generation of xbox... whats not to love.
Wow this is awesome, I really want something like this to replace my L3 and R3 trigger 'cause most of my controllers are getting damage by continuously pressing this to run specially in COD games
I tried this thing out on Friday and after two games of Modern Warfare, I had to remove this thing. Sure, it may work for some people...but since I have larger hands and grip the controller pretty hard, my middle fingers would always click the button when I didn't want it to. I tried holding the controller a littler looser and my accuracy/aim suffered BIG time. I had a buddy try it out as well and he said the same thing. If Sony would have made the buttons about an inch shorter, I think they would have hit this attachment out of the park. Already returned it back to Target.
Eric Miles they have to make the paddles longer, i have the same problem when editing on L3 in fortnite and I press both at the same time when i just want to press L3, i’m gonna make a return for sure and stick to strickepack
@@mukundprabhu8882 You literally don't understand. It has nothing to do with the product...it's how I hold the controller. Sure, this may work for some people but it just will not work for me. Comprende??
Okay so what reviewers aren't talking about. Where this is being marketed towards people that already own controllers, there are some things we should all know. - The attachment makes all base style charger unusable ( or you have to take it off and on everytime you want to charge ). - If you have a skin / grip with any sort of profile ( height of the material ) it will not attach snugly. You instead have to remove you're skin/grip or cut it away so it fits properly. May be worth the $30 but also, in less then a year or two we're all going to be buying a ps5 anyway.
Said this from the day this was announced, shares in the 3rd party controller builders went way down. My scuf is having problems at less than a year old, something they won't even entertain fixing now. However with the new attachment direct from Sony they won't quarell or quibble over refunding or replacing within 2 years. That's why I'm ordering 2 when they're released in the UK.
Mine doesnt have any problem with the sound still great,i've using this attachment almost 3 weeks and it work perfectectly however if you havent use back paddles this is gonna get hard for you to learn because you gonna need brain muscles. I recomend:YES but remenber brain muscles to get in.
I haven't had ant probl with the headset jack at all. I've had mines since last Saturday so far. So happy they came with there own paddles. Great vid as always.
i’ve only used this for about a week but i have no problem with the headphone jack so far. it sounds exactly the same as it did before i got the product 💯
I have read through all the comments but, am I the only one wondering why the OLED panel is on the back of the unit and not on the front? You have to flip your controller around to accurately program the profiles and to even look at what profile you're using!

I’ve been out here looking at scuf controllers to connect to my pc for controller gaming but I have three DualShock 4s laying around that are still in great shape and forgot this existed. $10 on Sony’s site right now!
I have a 1st gen, wired Nacon (what I currently use), an Aim v2 that's like 6 months old, that's been repaired, and is still sitting unused in its box, and a Scuf Impact that has a malfunctioning L3 button that I need to get repaired. I also had an XB1 with the Scuf pack on the Elite controller. I've been all over the place with these controllers and I'm kinda tired of spending 180-250 bucks on them when they may/may not last. It's incredibly frustrating to be so weary of using something that you spend your hard-earned money on in fear of it malfunctioning. With that being said, I've heard that the PS5 will be compatible with PS4 controllers. And I'm hoping Sony just makes their own Elite controller, with a warranty plan, so I can just be done with all of the guesswork. I still like having 4 buttons/paddles to work with in the back, but hopefully this attachment leads to something greater.

That's really cool, but doesn't work for hip fire 😊
Great review, in my testing I didn’t get any buzzing on the headphone jack. Maybe it depends what headphones are used. I was actually surprised that viewers still use the headphone jack as I always thought it sounded terrible.
What headphones do you use? I have astro 10 and because of this review, I'm now a bit scared to buy the attachment.
MacikSeba - so I use A50s but my viewers had concerns because the Strike Pack gave them a buzzing sound. I tried with a pair of Apple iPhone ear buds and Audio-Tecnica ATH-PDG1, both were perfect.
I have the Astro 10 call of duty edition and no buzzing noise at all
I prefer using wireless mics with these, I mainly use my steelseries artic 7’s or the wireless cloud flights but when it comes to wired I prefer using A40’s with these
Don't get any buzzing noise with my sennheisers.
It’s because the DualShock 5 will have back buttons. so in order for PS4 to be able to play next gen titles which are also released on PS4, it needs to have the same inputs to give the best gamer experience
“FINALLY” Facts
FINALLY... only 2 buttons tho
@@Dan_Jams For many that's all we need
@kiidkief yeah, there USED to be. All those companies moved onto 4 rear buttons/paddles since that's what's needed to replace the 4 front buttons and keep your thumbs on the sticks. 2 paddles are great as training wheels. But if u want to step up to the pro level, u need a minimum of 4 buttons on the back
I just want to say that I have owned this back button attachment from 2nd quarter of this year to 3rd quarter, and it is absolutely one of the best gaming purchases I have ever made.
No more overpriced bullshit. And it works so fucking well.
Scuff just left the chat.
Got mine new from gamestop for $10. Can't beat that. I think the price came down altogether. 30 was kinda pushing it. But even still is better than the 300 for scuf ect. I'm not saying it's better than a scuf. I've never owned one to be able to know. But for the price you can't beat this. Great gift for the gamer in your life
I’ve been waiting for this, thank you
I think I cried a little hearing you out and I honestly agree 100% with everything thing you said.. SONY PLEASE WE WOULD ALL LOVE IT FOR PLAYSTATION TO MOVE MORE TOWARDS COMPETITIVE STYLE WITH GREAT SONY ENTERTAINMENT!!
SO WE CAN TRULY FEEL THAT COMFORT PLAY AT HOME WHILE ENJOYING THAT GREAT SONY ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE WE'VE ALL KNOW AND LOVE..
Bought one the day it came out and even tho it takes a bit to get used to, I love it.
I’ve had my strike pack for 1 year and a half and it still works perfect
Mine broke in 2 months
Wow this is awesome, I really want something like this to replace my L3 and R3 trigger 'cause most of my controllers are getting damage by continuously pressing this to run specially in COD games
Well it’s a good thing MW added auto tac sprint
@@VolFan111 But then there's the slide cancel... which added 2 more presses every 2.5 seconds
Adapt
But if u played with the attachment for just around 3 more days or max 1 week! U would've gotten used to it.
Just saying.
@@mukundprabhu8882 You literally don't understand. It has nothing to do with the product...it's how I hold the controller. Sure, this may work for some people but it just will not work for me. Comprende??
Do other backbuttons work well for you? Which brands?
Okay so what reviewers aren't talking about.
Where this is being marketed towards people that already own controllers, there are some things we should all know.
- The attachment makes all base style charger unusable ( or you have to take it off and on everytime you want to charge ).
- If you have a skin / grip with any sort of profile ( height of the material ) it will not attach snugly. You instead have to remove you're skin/grip or cut it away so it fits properly.
May be worth the $30 but also, in less then a year or two we're all going to be buying a ps5 anyway.
For anyone worrying about life span I've been using it for a year and it still works well
Thanks bro, I’ve been looking for this coment
@@brandoncastromoreno6884 I'm still using it and no problem so far
@@T.C are the buttons hard to press or soft
Remenber.... BIG BRAIN MUSCLES😂
Uhmm but I don't have brain muscles so....
@@Soothing_Machines ...so you the BIG dumb dumb🤪🤪
After watching the video I feel like I made the right choice. DualShock with attachment is better at this time. I agree.
I haven't had ant probl with the headset jack at all. I've had mines since last Saturday so far. So happy they came with there own paddles. Great vid as always.
Thank you for this review! My strike pack took a poo and I didn’t want to buy an expensive elite controller at this point. Wireless is what sold me!
I would like to think that Sony is using this late to the game product to test ps5 options
Would make sense that way you can modify the controller based on the comments and they actually get paid for us to test them
i’ve only used this for about a week but i have no problem with the headphone jack so far. it sounds exactly the same as it did before i got the product 💯
Your channel is so underrated
100% this is high quality content, really helpful
I have read through all the comments but, am I the only one wondering why the OLED panel is on the back of the unit and not on the front? You have to flip your controller around to accurately program the profiles and to even look at what profile you're using!
the only problem i have is that it takes up my headphone jack, so i can't game
guys i got this
for all the fortnite pc on controller players out there
this is the best thing ever
no inputlag
no edit delay
super worth buying and only 30 dollars
I literally cant find this anywhere. Its sold out. People are charging almost $200.00 on Ebay and amazon.
Samuel Alzate corona virus has everything sold out
@@DaVoidBruh na man. This was sold out before the CV
I honestly regret not buying this when it came out. Now I'm looking for one, and as you mentioned, people are charging waaaaaay too much for it
@@captainseemo7481 yeah I know. I was gonna buy a controller from Battle Beaver Customs but I saw a video on this. I'm just gonna wait for the PS5 to come out and maybe buy a custom one of those.
Samuel Alzate yes same it was $30 now 150 like wtf
Has anybody had any mic quality problems in party/game chat? Ever had any complaints about how you sound?
The led screen on the attachment sold me.
kicksoffs it's oled
Wait.. when you plug the back button in, it goes in the headphone jack, so you can’t use your mic while having the back buttons?.??
You can but it’ll be worse then usual
"it was 40 bucks, now i believe it's ONLY 37"..........DEAD
Its nice to see a tech tuber that gives live to both console and PC gaming. You definitely deserved my sub and your quility is way above what I expected, its on the same level as chanels like Jayztwocentz.
Why you can’t buy it anymore
they didnt make enough
Finally we see a good and useful PS4 product. We needed it. Thank you very much for your great review and comment on this product. It is always helpful to me. You are great.
They really ought to make one with four button.
THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYIN!
that would be Ps4 back button attachment PRO 😅
@@uzairjoyjan963 Gotta have that "PRO" in the name or else it ain't official 😂
I really dont see the advantage in using 4 paddles I use 2 paddles and pretty much never need to take my thumbs off the sticks which is the purpose of these controllers
@@hlintu9936 bro does back button and dpad right button work together ? coz i try playing mkx and mk11 and try to dash by pressing the R (from dpad) and Maped R (from attachment) it didnt work for me...plz try this if works then tell me
thanks
Things to put on a DualShock 4 controller
Kontrolfreak
Back button or strike pack
Zip ties and glue for trigger stoppers
And buy new bumpers or face buttons
Bam u have a scuf or elite controller for abt a 1/3 the price
Who’s watching this 3 months later and trying to buy it and it’s 200 dollars R.I.P
They are back in stock right now at target and I believe Walmart maybe others as well hurry fast tho because ya ppl bought them out and tried overcharging it’s ridiculous but right now back in stock mine just shipped out from target
Bought mine today for $29 on Sony's website
Grant Hart i’m glad I just now learned about this product 👀
They should have put the OLED screen on the front that way you can see what profile your on and stuff like that
I have a sneaking suspicion that this has something to do with the PS5 and rumors of how its controller will have back buttons.
Yea that would make sense a lot actually
It don't :(
@@BigFatDonkeyDick yeah, it's quite the dissapointment
Thank you man. I just canceled my Scuff Controler order due to wait time. I was looking for an option and you just helped me out. THUMBS UP!
Great review. I don’t even have a PlayStation lol but this was a good watch
😂 thanks fam!
That’s why bro I am switching to Xbox after 10 years on ps platform ... controller controller controller ... after I used it at a friend will never go back to Sony controllers ....my Apex Legends and COD experience on Xbox is so much better then on ps4 pro you will never understand me until you try it
I use AIM. They’re amazing man. Definitely worth the price
Assembling an ultimate gaming setup thanks for the help!!!
Out of stock everywhere. Can’t find it
A_CLOUD_Connected got it at my local Walmart recently. It’s a little bulky and cramps my fingers cause I usually would rest my fingers where they are. I guess we’ll see if I get used to it.
Just copped the last one from Best Buy, people on reddit are saying it might re stock at may but I don’t think that’s true
for real its pissing me off!!
lexiplays i’ll buy them from ya!
Just got one from amazon
I watch a lot of reviews and streams, basically anything to do with gaming, your videos are some of the best out there. Keep up the good work!
Great review as always. I hope that Sony is feeling some pressure from Microsoft to get an elite controller soon.
Anyone not able to find these??
Sony is selling the rn
1:45 BOI left corner
I’ve been out here looking at scuf controllers to connect to my pc for controller gaming but I have three DualShock 4s laying around that are still in great shape and forgot this existed. $10 on Sony’s site right now!
Big 'L' to Scuf
Been waiting to long for it great video
Microsoft should’ve had this out months ago but they want that bread from the elite controllers 🤨
Bro did they raise the price for this I see them selling for $80 now wtf
same, i wanted to buy one
No there is high demand and very little product so people are buying them and selling them for 100+ dollars pisses me off I can’t seem to find one at any store.i hope Sony gets there head out of their asses they could have made some money if they actually had the item to sell!!
i have extensively used these paddles for over a year with no issues. Great investment for the price.
