We are using Persian numbers for the dice while playing gammon in Turkey. For example if the dice rolls as 6-6 then it is Düşeş which is Do Shesh or two six in Persian. But i am sure 99% of people here don't even know it is Persian.
Yeah we have many words in common, like 'zendegi' (life), with a slightly different pronunciation. Also "false friends" like 'shadi' which means happiness in Persian and wedding (i guess) in Hindi
Yeah, and many others with different meanings ("false friends", linguistically speaking), for example we have "Shadi" meaning happiness (and as a name for girls) and you have it meaning"wedding/marriage"??
Thank you for your very useful and interesting information!

I love this woman
When I speak with my Iranian friend we will sometimes say "yek" if we are going away for a minute. We use it as "be right back"
"speak with" is definitely an Iranian collocation 😂😂
I'd say "ye deyghe" (yek daghighe=1 min)
Ek , do , tin , char , panch, chhe , saat, aatt , no , das, we count numbers in India almost like you mentioned.
