@@newl55664 Thai is very easy
@@user-ry4ou6ws2q Really? Nice. I used to learn French, Chinese and Japanese. At first I thought it should be easy, but then 😅
French was easier because the alphabets are similar to English.
@@user-ry4ou6ws2q im thai & i used to learn kor & chinese (now im learning jpn) so as my consider kor is the easiest bcuz of alphabets but pronunciation is hard but not even as hard as chinese, for jpn the pronunciation is the easiest out of these three but if u learn more about jpn u'll know by urself that jpn is the hardest language more than kor & chin if u compared with grammars & kanjis alphabets (chinese characters but there r 2 ways to pronounce "kunyomi" & "onyomi" also the meaning of some characters arent the same at all) for basically conversation in jpn u should remember & know kanjis around 100+ more (but trust me it'd be better if u know 2000+) for chinese listening & writing are hardest but grammar is easiest out of jpn & kor which grammars r really similar with each others. So for me altho im thai but i think thai language is hardest as always bcuz the pronunciation, writing, listening, grammars (honestly nowadays when i had thai tested i cant get the full scores compare with kor chin jpn😢)
samee i was learning hangul( korea)
As Thai people, the secret that makes you easy to learn Thai Language is you don’t need to remember all alphabets in Thai. Because , there are many alphabets that not use in daily life. It’s just for show in text book only. If you get it, you’ll get the easy way to learn Thai Language. And importantly, you don’t need to remember all grammar in Thai , bc in daily life the word, sentence, or the conversation is very flexible. Only you can make and understand Thai words, I think you can communicate with other Thai people for sure.
Finally, I think Thai languages grammar is very easy it’s just “Subject + Verb +Object” If you know how to make the word = you can understand Thai conversation.
I hope it’s useful for people who want to learn Thai Language. Don’t give up and remember “Thai is very easy if you understand it’s concept” ❤

@@Ai-yeh29 yes have name, like ก sound like G/K and name is Gai (chicken)
@@Ai-yeh29 Yeah, it does have names. As she says in the video, the letters name consists of the sound the letters represent, and a word that consists the letter. So ก is Geogai. Hope, it made sense!
@@Ai-yeh29Yes it’s also like in English where you could say A for Apple but in English you can choose the object, you could say A for arrow or A for abacus or whatever, it wouldn’t matter. In Thai the description words stays the same. ก (gor-gai) will always be linked to chicken

Speaking from personal experience, learning Hangeul alphabet is super easy and there's no complicated writing rules or tones in the languages. However, the grammar rules... I cannot say the same. Chinese's sentence structure is easy to understand but the tones might confuse people and the writing system not complicated but you just need to memorise a lot. Both Mandarin & Korean didn't scare me as much as Thai language now scares me even though I am interested in learning.
Thai grammar is pretty similar to English and Chinese grammar, yes the tones and writing are tricky, even Thai people forget it sometimes but you’ll get used to it if your super motivated! If you live around Thai people or go and study in Thailand it’ll be really easy to catch on! (And if you ever think Thai is too hard just be glad you aren’t learning Burmese 😬that’s another level of HARD)
I feel the same 😅 I mean Chinese and Korean
I've just started to be interested in Thai, and yes, it looks difficult. Phonetics is even harder than Korean and Chinese, and also they don't make spaces between words, almost like Japanese.
Maybe Thai is easier than those three, when you reach a more advanced level, but the learning curve seems steep.
I feel your pain.

Thai people often see these mistakes as funny and cute.Just smile believe me.

Matty Bruno Lucas Zenere Salas indonesian is the easiest theres even no tones.
Yeah tones are tricky for English speakers. Korean doesnr even have them luckily. Only pitch accent intonation. Thai is about the same difficulty but the tones add a bit of trouble for us. I think korean is slightly easier but not by much

Ok, you lost me at "five tones" 😂😂
If you are even a bit off, the Thais will not even understand. it is a lot harder than this is made out to be by a long shot. Even if you can read, you HAVE to know the word in Thai to know the meaning the same as writing, so the learning order of speaking to reading is the issue depending on whether you want to learn the language OR REALLY learn the language. Either way, Thai is one of the hardest in the world-period. I can speak pretty darn good, write and read some too, but years of practice and being dedicated to it.

จริงๆๆ 55555+ ทั้งชีวิตเรียนทุกคำยังไม่จบเหรอ มีทั้งภาษาโบราณ ภาษาภาคอื่นๆ ภาษาเขียน ภาษาแบบหรูหรา อะไรอีก😂😭
im glad im not the only who wanna learn Thai because of bl series 😭😭😭
LeoFiat & TharnType im doing this for you ☝️
I'm a Thai person and i want to say that the English test is 69,420+ times easier than the Thai test

Im gonna have to watch this atleast 20 times, thank you for these lessons
This is a GREAT refresher after many years of not keeping up with reading or speaking Thai much. I started learning Thai uhhh about 25 years ago and I learned the alphabet along with some basic words. My then-girlfriend and now wife of 23 years and is 2nd gen American of Thai extraction born in Texas. She grew up VERY self-conscious about speaking Thai and only speaks it if she has to. That’s a long story but some may understand. I am a bit of a language nerd so I just HAD to decode this beautiful language. I got a book and some tapes and off I went. My goal was to impress her mom and dad (the bar is much lower for me than my wife!). I tried to speak with a fluent (ish) native (ish) accent by imitating their prounciation amd shortcuts. Her parents and extended family loved that I was attempting to speak Thai and would help me. It helped me develop relationships with relatives who spoke almost no English. Most of her 1st gen fam speaks good English as they’ve lived and worked in the US since the 70s or 80s. Anyway I love languages and Thai writing is just so cool to me. It looks impenetrable at first but as you start to break it down it becomes easier. So thanks for these lessons - it’s slowly coming back!
Her: Thai is not that hard as you think
Me: /Hearing different GA/
Yes .. it is
Any TONAL language + the characters used for writing are somewhat hard (different for a lot of people though)
the tones! OMG
Watching all the BL's was very helpful...Nov 2019 one month there, many complements for my Thai. Next step is this, the Thai alphabet.
I: try to go to sleep
UA-cam algorithm: do you wanna know Thai alphabets?
Lol, in my country (Italy) it's 3:00 a.m and here I am, trying to learn some consonants and vowels :)

I'm a Filipino and I found out that Thai language is very interesting to learn. but after watching this. IDK now. HAHAHA
Yanika Kongkaeo, bec Philippime writing system is like American. We use english alphabet letters, we add another letter right after a letter, but for Thai its hard for me to locate where should I put a vowel making me dizzy. 5555 but I love thailand, thai people, and their language!
Yanika Kongkaeo, im a student too! For speaking in english thats our sec language thats why were fluent to it, dont worry! Philippines is a safe place to go. Just like thailand its pretty hot in here 5555. I can help you in speaking in english. Just message me on instagram - kaede.dj
I am from the Philippines too. I love watching anime that is why I studied Japanese language. Now, I am addicted to Thai Series "The Gifted" . Due to wait of eng subs, I decided to learn Thai language so I can understand the series without the eng subs.
Yanika Kongkaeo we can teach others language? Ill teach you english and filipino, and you’ll do the same for me with thai.im planning a trip in Thailand on january

BL what is it?)
I'm Turkish, with some English, Spanish, German knowledge, and since I am very intrugied by Asian culture, I also know a bit about Korean, Chinese and Japanese. I am a comparatist because of the collage I graduated. This video randomly came out on my feed, and I started watching it. Thai looks very hard, and I didn't open the video with the hope of learning in 50 minutes. Yet I find this video somehow very interesting. I have a big interest in Symbolism, maybe that is why, but that's a very interesting way to build a language. I can't even express why and how it's interesting, but it's very different from the languages I heard or learned before. It's not just about alphabet, there are voices you need to memorize, and shapes you need to remember as well. The only point of my comment is I love how Thai sounds. I find it very magnificent. Some may hear Thai as a rude language, but I think it's not like that. It's calming. I appreciate Thai culture a lot. Thank you ThaiPod101 for this video.
Seriously... this is very helpful. I'm an Indonesian girl who learns Thai in English :"))) I swear this is not easy but this video explains it really well, I can catch up with all the vowels and consonants. Thank you very muchhh
