HF Tarheel 200HP Antenna Pajero mounting - how to

- HI all,
I've had a number of questions about how I mounted the tarheel 200 ahp on the back of the pajero.
It's been a long time coming but I've finally gotten around to knocking up a video of how I achieved that.
I hope this helps anyone looking to do similar.

I am getting ready to install an Original TARHEEL 200HP on my 2007 RAM 1500 Quad Cab & I'll be using my ICOM 7000 with it so I know it will work great.I had the TARHEEL II several years ago & it worked great & I know the 200HP will be even better.Thanks much for the video. W4KVW
No worries mate. My tarheel has started to get stuck when tuning, so I've taken it off for repair and picked up a codan antenna to try out. Ive not used one before, so i hope it works well.
@@DENMONKEY I have never heard of that brand so hopefully it works and you get the Tarheel going as well.👍🎙
Mate a video on removing that panel would be stellar. To date all my panel removals have been based on your vids. Such a wonderful resource. Thanks again Brett!

no worries mate, probably be a few weeks. heading away next weekend. so prob the one after that.
I need to get the inverter installed over the back with some extra andersons, so it's high up on the list.
It's a bit fiddly that one, as you have to remove the rear door rubber on that side, the bolts from the floor and part of the upper panel.
easy enough, but I'll grab some footage for ya.

Talking with Adam and Graham, we're gong to get my Tarheel, graham's screw driver and Adam's Codan together for a video comparison / review. Wont be for a few weeks but looking forward to it.

Hey Justin. Here's a question for you.
An amateur operator (john) has a codan and was wondering how to mount it on his pajero.
I told him, you have one and mounted it on a Paj but I couldn't remember where you ended up putting it for the bash.
I remember seeing it though. Did you end up sticking it up front on the bull bar ? any chance you can shoot me a pic on facebook that I can pass on to him ?

I'm keen to see (that's if you ever did) how you mounted the Codan 9350 you said you were going to swap the Tarheel with.
Hey Brad, nice to hear from the locals :) . No mate, havent gotten around to it. still on the list but pretty far down it. I was checking out the 3040 model but don't know much about it. Whilst I'm not sure the codans will work as well as the tarheel ( untested theory here ) I think it would be better suited to off road work long term

I'm go going to be putting a Codan 9323 in my Pajero and a 9350 Antenna I was hoping to be on the rear Tailgate. So was keen to see ideas for mounting.

Hi, where did u run your cable from the antenna to inside?
through the rear quater panel, near where the cigarette socket is, through the holes in the panels in front of the brake light and out through the rubber joiner to the back door, then out the back of the door to the antenna. have a look at this video . you will see what i mean ua-cam.com/video/76SCp5Ajp-o/v-deo.html
Hi brett. Loving your video's. Any chance you doing one on the puddle light. As my drivers side is not working. I have a 2008 ns. Carn't find nothing about it on pajero's. Hope you can.just asking. Cheers
You mean the one under the door when opened? I don't believe I have one in my nt but will have a look. I did swap the ones on the lower side for led. But I don't have anything under the door as far as I'm aware. Will check for you though

Hi mate this is some good ideas I'm just watching videos like this just trying to work out how the hell am I going to mount a HF Ariel to my Daihatsu Terios as they make nothing for the Terios and I'm currently in the middle of making a jerry can holder to go on my spare wheel carrier but if you know what I'm talking about a Daihatsu Terios they are they are little 4 banger buzz boxes and I'm still trying to worked out somewhere where to put my 27 MHz CB radio on my channel I do have a video on radios
