They really need to stop with this unlimited stuff, if it's going to go back to 2g when you run out of your limited high speed, you're essentially completely limited.
I was told by the representative that it's still a 5g connection after 20gb, did he lie to me? 😂
@washiewah748 more then likely it'll still say 5g but it will have a 2g speed like we have verizon and we're on a grandfather plan with unlimited everything and we don't have 5g cause it'll mess up or plan so we stick to 4g but I get 5g to pop up in certain areas however there is no difference in speed so yea they more then likely lied to you just to get the sale lol
Love how unlimited is limited
I used to use well over 120gb a month on Verizon. Granted that was 3 years ago. That was also when UA-cam was a data hog. It still absolutely is a data hog but it's not nearly as bad if you have premium and can lock your phone. I just joined spectrum mobile last night. Was paying the 35$ a month for straight talk after I got sick of Verizon prices. I had to be relatively mindful of my data but had 10gb of 5g and 5gb of hotspot
Had Spectrum for a year and a half and it was great for us! (In Orlando).. Moved to Visible cause it was cheaper and there was no data cap, been great so far.
I have used spectrum mobile for about 2 years now. I’d switched from Verizon. I live in a mountainous area of western NC - I have not had any trouble.
Really? I live close to Raleigh and thinking about switching from ATT
Glad to hear this!!
You also have to note that once you finance a phone and you lose your phone you are not allowed to use your number on a used phone. You have to pay off the current phone you financed that you lost. Other carriers allow you to use whatever phone you want even when you haven’t paid off your current one.
Its a great value in 2023. 29.99 is way better than paying verizon 100 a month for pretty much the same thing. Yes its throttled a bit when the network is congested but still worth the money hands down
I agree. 20gb is low and the slowdown after is harsh but I'll never use more than like 5gb of data anyway. But Spectrum Internet also has an offer of $49.99 a month for internet and a free mobile line for a year right now. It's kinda nuts
@@washiewah748 yeah unfortunately that deal is for new customers only. I pay 79.99 for internet 5 a month for their wifi 6e router and 29.99 for one line of mobile
You need to look at other MVOs. The hotspot allocation is low. Unless Spectrum bundles phone and home internet for a better price you can probably get a better deal with providers like Mint Mobile, US Mobile, Visible, ect
This is probably the most honest and straight to the point break down. Thank you!
You're very welcome
Thank you for posting this video 😃👍

Loved the video, thank you sir :) Very helpful
You’re very welcome, happy to help!!
Glad you're back 🎉🎉🎉🎉 thanks much
You’re welcome
great service...thank you. answered all my questions.
Great to hear!
When I also called about the $14 plan at Spectrum you can move to the unlimited plan for the remainder of the month and go back down to the $14 plan at the end of the month now it's prorated for what you use but it's still cheaper than buying one more gig at $14
That's a good idea, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the info !!!
You're very welcome! Glad to help, more Spectrum Mobile content is on the way!!
I have been with them for a couple months. I picked up a Pixel 7 Pro from Spectrum on deal $500 off plus a trade-in if you have one. In total the phone costs $437 with tax at $11 a month. Great deal $29.99 for 2 lines. Im spending less than I was for T-Mobile low tier at $45 mo just for service not devices.
How is the reception with them? I have tmobile and i am considering switching.
I'm a Verizon wireless customer 10+ years. I live in a scenic area with lots of tourists. When the area is busy with lots of people my Verizon data does not work. And I pay a boatload of money every month for my service. I also have mint mobile (TMobile) and boost (at&t) because I do doordash deliveries and no phone works everywhere. I'm about to ditch Verizon because of the terrible coverage in my dashing area. Mint mobile is the best among the 3 I think. Boost mobile is best in my dashing area. Both Mint mobile and Boost mobile combined cost less per month then Verizon
I can totally relate to that very issue with Verizon. I myself live in northern Wisconsin and have this same exact issue every summer. My main phone carrier is AT&T and seems to offer the best network congestion management in my area and also the better coverage "overall" as they've added MANY new towers over the past 2 years.
It depends on the area where Verizon has the upgraded towers
Plot twist...
In the end folks, when all is said and done... everyone is going through one massive corporation for all of this.
Think about the fact that only one entity installed all the network infrastructure for all of this, copper and fiberoptic alike. 😉
And it's all split up into various groups so that mega corporation can't be hit with a Monopoly issue.
And that corporation has political connections, ties, support and protection related to stocks.
I'd also like to bring attention to those who only use the wifi from their service with no physical lan line Ethernet connections in their home, you're not getting the full speeds as you would with a physical connection, so you're paying for a service you're not fully utilizing.
This was very helpful! I am about to move and seeking both internet and mobile services as Verizon has become too costly! Very informative and straight to the point! 😊
Happy to help!
Spectrum is not good, they will shut down your Internet every time your bill payment is close to being due.
Honestly with the phone I have and use (a Samsung galaxy s9 plus)the data speeds are not as fast as the newer smartphones, I have been using spectrum mobile and haven't had any issues with the service or the data, same with spectrum wifi its been great so far, I don't have any complaints, both the phone service and internet are cheaper than Verizon Fios and Verizon phone service.
Very nice! Glad you are happy with them
Trying it out bundled with my Internet for "free" for a year to have a secondary phone bc i upgraded my Internet. Hopefully its decent 😅
That's why I'm on here. I'm searching for answers. They also offered me free for 1 yr then after that $29. I'm paying 60 right now for t moble. That would be a big savings.
How’s the circledin going? I followed your lead and went with the $50 att. Rebates haven’t started kicking in though. I did get the $5 credit for your referral.
Hi Michael, great to hear that you've taken the leap with CircledIn, I am in talks with them for future content. Stay tuned!!
Do spectrum phones unlock after 60 days like Verizon?
Thanks for making this video. I just signed up. I should be getting the SIM card in about two days. They said it’s free for a year!
I did ask them if they slow the data down if you go over and the salesperson said no. Now seeing your video I’m worried about the data usage.
In terms of hours, how long does it take to burn up 20gb of data?
Happy to help! In terms of "how fast" it will take you to use a full 20GB depends on the type of content that you are consuming. Check out this video which will help you out further: ua-cam.com/video/JR1kwPq-3bs/v-deo.html
@@EB3Studios rumor has it that in a few weeks the base plan is going to 30 GB and the Plus plan is going to 50 GB
I left AT&T and the service with Spectrum has been like this. I'm inside the grocery store I have to leave the grocery store to get a signal I'm inside a restaurant I have to leave the restaurant to get a signal I'm in the parking lot of the restaurant and I have to move around the parking lot to get a signal. I had none of these issues with AT&T. I even asked workers at each location if they had trouble with people getting signals and the answer was always no.
This is most likely because there is an AT&T tower close by outside the grocery store or a signal amplifier on top of the building for the AT&T bands where there isn't a Verizon tower very close by.
Hi. Great video, thanks! We switched to Spectrum Mobile last spring (2023) at $29.00. It has worked well but occasionally we drop to SOS Only. This happens randomly and most recently at our home, where I KNOW we have coverage. Do you know why this is? It's very frustrating!
Thank you, happy to help! So... there are a few things that you can try. First off, I am "assuming" that you have an iPhone based on the SOS Only scenario?
#1: Make sure you are running the latest version of iOS, to check this to into "Settings", scroll down to "General", then tap on "Software Update" and make sure you are running the LATEST version of iOS (it will say iOS is up to date).
#2: If you have a Spectrum store in your area, stop in and have them take a look at your iPhone(s) and tell them what is going on, they have a few things that they can try in their system such as reprovisioning your phone and double checking things on their end. IF this is not possible, then you can always call Spectrum Mobile at 866-782-2681 and let them know the problem with the SOS Only happening on occasion and ask if they can "reprovision" your iPhones and then if they have any other steps that they can do for you.
Hope one of these issues gets it fixed for you!
@@EB3Studios Thank you for your reply! After rebooting my phone, performing a software update and toggling Airplane Mode Off/On several times didn't work, I did some further research. It seems Verizon (whose towers Spectrum uses) had an extensive outage in the area where I live. People on Verizon & Spectrum were without cell service for most of the day! It finally came back and has been working fine since then. I appreciate your channel though and have subscribed!
Do they have a family tracker app like At&t? I hope they do.
From what I can tell, it doesn't look like Spectrum has one "that they include" so you would have to use a third-party one. Here are a couple that I found that might be worth checking out: famisafe.wondershare.com/family-locator/free-family-locator-apps.html
I currently have 2 phones and 2 watches on Verizon. Can I carry over my phones and watches. Is autopay mandatory?
In most cases, yes you can bring them over. Just contact Spectrum Mobile to get the process started! And AutoPay is required but you can always make a payment before the due date if you wish to do it that way.
Lol I’m with Verizon and The signal where I live is Mid… guess il stay away from Spectrum 😂😂 thanks for the info
You're very welcome, have you considered an alternative carrier such as AT&T? I can get you the best pricing around over at: eb3studioscellphoneprovider.com
As I typed this the internet part of Spectrum went out and it took a few minutes for it to be fixed.
Oh wow, not good.
I've had spectrum for 2 years now. It was great up until I paid my phone off. Then I started getting tons of emails telling me to upgrade my phone. Now months later the phone that I really like doesn't get signal hardly at all. Wi Fi only works to about 15 feet from the unit. If you're into getting a new phone all the time then it's a good plan, but if your like me and hate getting a new phone then just remember their going to kill your service until you do upgrade.
Definitely not good!
When you pay off your phone it’s yours. if your phone is old ( especially android ) then things start to run slow in time. the phone starts to wear out. So it might have been the phone and not spectrum: I paid off my brothers pixel 6 last month and he has no issues with the service: his line is eligible for a upgrade but I haven’t upgraded it yet because he doesn’t need a new phone. His pixel still works
He reminds me of the guy in coneheads lol he looks and sounds just like him it's hilarious. "Sometimes I want to... Duh duh... Runaway"
Now with the $29 plan will it randomly start going up like other plans
Hopefully not, Spectrum Mobile used to charge $45 per line a few years ago when they first launched.
Can you do optimum mobile and total wireless
I will add those to my list of carriers to review :)
Signing up today
Sounds good!
I just checked on Spectrum mobile Verizon says they are Tier 1 as far as the data caps they don't drop them at your two or two or three status there tier-1 just like any other Verizon customers what is said from a Verizon operator out their own stores what I was told is what I'm told
I will say this, if you are in an area where there is a lot of Verizon Wireless customers and there is barely enough bandwidth to go around and you are using Spectrum Mobile, the person using Spectrum Mobile will experience slower speeds that is for sure!
Spectrum Mobile offered me a very large trade-in promotion that they eventually did not apply. Even though they admitted it was their employees fault, they refuse to make it right and now I am out $600. They don't care enough about their customers to fix their mistakes.
I got free service fot a year and i Also unlimited data plus Wi-Fi
Awesome, how are you liking it?
I just upgraded my internet speed and was offered a free year of mobile as well. I'll be activating it, soon. For free, I'm wondering how bad it could really be...
My 2024 review will be dropping soon but in summary... Spectrum Mobile in 2024 is "on par" with other carriers.
The pricing is guaranteed for 12 months only, right? What's the 2 lines monthly going to be after that promotional period?
No lifetime
@@lifexscape3195 it says the second line is free for 12 months. Is it going to be double the monthly after the 12 months?
@xdragon2k it will be an "extra" $29.99 after the first year
Can I use my Verizon phone on spectrum mobile
As long as the phone is unlocked with then yes! Verizon automatically unlocks their phones after 90 days of active service with them. All iPhones are compatible and “most Androids” are also compatible.
Data increased. Unlimited is 30gb and unlimited plus is now 50gb
What about US mobile is priorities
US Mobile includes 40GB of "premium data" for their Basic Plan and 100GB of "premium data" for their Unlimited Premium plan. While Spectrum Mobile gives you 22GB of "premium data" and then you are throttled to 3G speeds for the rest of the month. If you haven't checked out my US Mobile video, I have a link for you here: ua-cam.com/video/WW_yI83umQo/v-deo.html
I am a driver online I just got spectrum 10 faster then t mobile
For anything
I posted about 1 month ago my questions and situation being a Verizon customer and now I've done a little research and have to ask Spectrum or Visible since both are on the same tower they should be the same service range and for the most part Verizon is pretty good out here... going camping, that's a different issue though. But with Spectrum Hotspot and data caps at the 29.99 price I am starting to lean to Visible, not just for the $5.00 price difference but for the no cap data even for hotspot use... when camping I'd like to hotspot and with my Verizon plan.. .it is 600kb/s all the time ... 5mb/s would probably be fine for emails, and web browsing. I do not stream videos at all, I don't play games just the basic talk, text and the occasional hotspot. My biggest concern with Spectrum is the 5gb cap on Hotspot data and then the big throttle kicks in ( I am told back to 600kb/s where I am now). I've watched all your video on both Spectrum and Visible (thanks for all the info) I do not have a 5g phone at this point and don't see the need to change that! at home I just use my Spectrum 1gb and wifi.... I have about a week to make up my mind.... and I have Samsung Galaxy phones we will bring our own phone to. Any help would be appreciated!
Did you ask Spectrum about their access Internet points that you can use your internet inside and outside of the home over your data with if you haven't that's why you think the other company would be better than Spectrum but you get access to your internet speeds as well so your internet and your mobile data work together on the first converts Network don't be fooled that 29.99 plan is dynamite
Hi Dave, which option did you plan on going with or are you still looking for assistance?
@@EB3Studios Sorry I missed this question. We switched from Verizon to Spectrum Mobile 1 month ago and went for the $29,99 per month unlimited... we did get 1 of the plans free for 12 months. So far honestly the coverage has been the same as Verizon and were happy with that. Were both retired so were home most of the time and have the phones connect to our home wifi and use wifi calling and so far it has been great. We are in the 37087 Zip and there are only a few out of home and spectrum wifi hotspots on their map...matter of fact every time i go to town you don't even see them show up... I am thinking if were out of town to larger locations hopefully we will see them but for us right now it seems like were chasing a ghost! Honesstly as for the usage of data I just checked and in the first 15 days of use Im only at about a half a gig of mobile data used I doubt we ever have gone over 1GB for me and less for my wife ( I have been doing speed tests in various areas to check it out. Honestly the documentation and actual set up of the phone (we brought our own) was simple and for 2 phones it took us less than 20 minutes we worked with a rep who took all our information and pre set up the backend and when we switched it was very simple and fast. What I find lacking is a new up to date instruction of the Spectrum out of home and Spectrum Wifi locatons and what app is needed, if you look at UA-cam there are several videos going back 5 years but I think the system has changed at Specturm so a new up to date step by step video would be very helpful. We have the My spectrum app on the phone but there are videos that say we need a "Spectrum Wifi" app as well... but that was 3 years ago and I think it's changed. I went in to the spectrum local store and honestly either they didn't want to help me and just said read the web and one person said "They have never seen a Spectrum Hotspot" Sad! for us it would be a nice to have since we have both home and mobile accounts but I just need to dig in to a bit more..... if you have time to address the latest in one of your videos that would be great... Thanks for all you do... we enjoy watching your video's.
Just a FYI, the $30 plan you get 30 gigs now instead of 20 gigs and then the $40 plan you get 50 gigs instead of 30
Sounds good!!
Their plans suck once you hit 30gb they slow down your data speed so much its useless. AT&T i use over 500gb a month with no slowing down.
It’s slow as f we did it on try 3 weeks ago we are going back to AT&T
I hear ya! AT&T is king where i'm from as well.
Well that's kind of annoying to know the only reason why me and my mom. Phones and then it's because we only cheaper phone bill and with cheaper internet
Are you having issues with Spectrum Mobile?
Me and my mother are playing like $65 on both our phones every month and I think it's with our internet I'm not really sure we just got internet separate though we don't pay anything extra on it just the internet bill alone I think that Black Friday deal last yeah which finklea still going on instead of 89.99 it's 44.99 a month still that's better than what it used to be 54.99 just $10 difference from the internet bill but still good

Definitely sounds like you are in a bad Verizon area. How about trying another carrier like AT&T? I can help you save money on one of their plans here: eb3studioscellphoneprovider.com
Verizon is the best better than Atant and Tmoble spectrum is a fake carrier
Your self you left spectrum because it’s shit
@ eb3 studios
Verizon sucks
In other words, spectrum it's an inusable garbage 😅🤣😂
Verizon is crap..
Who is your carrier of choice?
Hahaha STILL a good choice? Bro it never was a good choice.
It all depends on what “your needs are” for a particular provider.
It’s the worst service. Ever I can’t wait to leave this junk
Sounds like Verizon doesn't work great in your area. How about trying out this carrier to see if it meets your needs better? They use AT&T: ua-cam.com/video/5MDj4lt79uw/v-deo.html
I use metro which is limited because it's on t-mobile network. No thanks to this. Is there are true unlimited?
Give this a try, it's who I have and they are unlimited (the whole month): ua-cam.com/video/6OmkwBm30gk/v-deo.html
My second day on spectrum mobile voice quality is a bit iffy the internet has been ok thus far
What kind of phone are you using? Also, I would recommend you turn on Wi-Fi calling in your "cellular settings". This helps with your call quality and performance while being connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Watch in a few months it's going to be slowww. Also the whole Wi-Fi spectrum WiFi service will slow down as well. For example you'll be in the area where it says spectrum mobile & it won't connect even when you click it. When I first got the service it work fast & everything worked how its supposed to.
What's the latest? Are you in the mountains or busy city or something?
Spectrum is the worst internet ever. We paying almost $100 a month for the worst ever.
Give this a try: ua-cam.com/video/slNM3t90LhY/v-deo.html
@EB3Studios no thank you. I will switch Verizon soon.
