I'm a 72 year old retired truck driver. I love to watch Client's videos. He goes into details and really tries to educate people. Love watching.
Thanks for watching
@@C_CEQUIPMENT people from fan problem
Would love to see Kevin go through all the prep he has to go thru prior to paint
while in the army i logged thousands of hours on my D7G in my opinion one of the best all around dozers ever made
It started like you built it when you get done with a restoration the machine you’re doing always starts like a brand new one cool as Kevin and he’s pretty cool 😎 6:15am 👍😎🇺🇸NY
It's like a prison sentence, that person pressure washing throughout the whole video...... Great video guys keep them coming and give that person something else to clean...... LOL
Clinton, A parting shot. If you keep badmouthing my beloved Caterpillar, I may have to consider my subscription1!!!! LOL! Meaner folk than you have been badmouthing CAT for years. It's tough being #1!
All brands have there good and bad points for sure
I can't believe Kevin didn't say, " something had hit the fan". That guy is funny.
There has been times working on my equipment that I wish Kevin was on the team so that it would have been more enjoyable. Carry on!
That awesome Dozer and it looks powerful enough it would be awesome to see it in Cat yellow.
Nice to see guys working in harmony like this. Sure does get somewhat nasty jobs to run along easier/better.
Thanks for my Saturday morning coffee break.
I enjoy the in-0p dozers you purchase. It’s amazing the extent of diagnostic and repair that you and your team go through to ensure the machines are trouble free to your purchasers. Love those older cats.
'If we've still got bolts we know we've done it better the second time' - Kevin what a great philosophy LOL. Now for a shave, paint and shine - with a good sale price. Loved it.
Those fan blades on that D7 are reversible push them in and turn them it changes the air flow
Thanks Clint…
You could’ve made this a YT short or a TikTok video by using a can of Stop Leak on the
radiator & gas tank, then a tube of metal weld to fix that fan and claim it “ran when sold”…🤫
But your common sense, ethics, & professionalism made it cost more, take much longer,
& created another awesome video for your followers, not to mention a much better dozer
for the new owner. (even if it is a Cat)😎
Nice. In 1978 and 1979 I was signed for a D7F, mine had a Hyster winch on. Those are strong tractors.
Yep
that old cat is pretty quick and she sounds good!
Enjoyed it keep them coming. Nice seeing Kevin helping
I would love to spend a day with you and Kevin working on equipment. It’s always a joy to watch you guys. Kevin is definitely a valuable employee.
He is
Thanks
Kevin truly you right hand man Clint, rare to see two guys get along like you two Kevin lucky to have you as a boss as you are having him as a employee. Nice to see quality work on that dozer, you not trying to save couple bucks on parts and making it tip top for someone. (most shops would just tack welded the fan up)
You guys are a solid team. Makes life/work so much more enjoyable.
Like the way you guy's work on Equipment .
Thanks
Good running tractor.
Nice work on the Dozer. She sounds pretty sweet now. I gotta laugh at Cat and their naming conventions (but not at their prices, then I usually cry). Fan assembly becomes a spider. That one would definitely not fit any of my SBCs.
Great work, Clint! You, Kevin and Randy make quite a team. So good to see you all doing all the right things in repair with super communication and a little fun along the way. Stay well, stay safe!
Thanks 👍
Love it when you and Kevin work together! Job well done!
Thanks
I really enjoy watching your videos they are always very educational
Thanks
Love the 450
Smashing mailboxes! We never did that but we did recycle beer bottles at 80 mph a beer bottle turns to power when it hits a highway sign. Of course we kept score.
It has been proven that the government can mess up a one car funeral. You have a knack at solving problems. Thank You for the video....
Design Engineers do not work on the products that they design. If they did they would figure out that things need room to repair.
You know what they say, DO IT NICE, OR DO IT TWICE, rebuild it completely, good luck, I like your videos
I know it’s a pain in the ass to produce these vidjas but I truly appreciate them. I like the banter the knowledge and everything y’all got going on. Thanks Clinton and crew
Thanks
Ditto! Get tired of hearing him say this but love the way he gets along And those people but that’s probably why he’s soSuccessful
success can be one big pain in the ass, but you and Kevin get it done. Have a ball watching you two guys work together. I really cant wait to see it all painted Yellow or the military color green the green on DP doozer is cool color.
Nice to see that I’m not the only one who gets the wrong part’s when I use the serial numbers and part numbers
😝
The D7 seems to be in great shape. Hope it provides many hours of good service to the buyer. Shame about the rust for something that runs so well. I got interested from Let’s Dig, then Dirt Perfect and enjoy your videos almost as much as watching Chris dig mud. Those are my favorite, but I enjoyed your blade rebuild and the D7 as well. Thank you and keep them coming.
Thanks
And thanks for watching
@Texas Rancher lol
It sold already
@@C_CEQUIPMENT The buyer also got the video. I think that gives them a good idea of what they are getting. And you’re not just sending them something that has not been done before sold.
nice to see a dealer putting new parts on used kit , you do the job right .
Tired old mechanic is spot on with his diagnosis of the radiator core issue. Cat also fitted the larger cores onto our Cat units which are used in forestry fire suppression in addition to other pieces of equipment that were used in military operations within the Middle East areas of operations. By doubling the core size the engine's operating temperature is greatly reduced even when the cores are packed tight with carbon, dust, ash and tree litter. When the equipment is high on a mountain side it's the last place you want to have an overhearing radiator. Our dozers, skidders and excavators also have a secondary air compressor and a supply tank fitted so operators can blow the crap out of the cells. Our equipment gets hit by and work in areas where water bombers have dumped a clay based slurry of fire retardant directly onto the cat guards we have just opened up for that very same reason.
Love your videos all your content is both informative and entertaining you and Kevin are great team wish I I could get to meet you all but please keep posting love from uk
Thanks
C-C. You guys are Top Notch, ✅💯
Thanks
That's a great starting piece doing great job diagnosing and fixing I love how fan and radiator took up half of flatbed You even managed to keep the clouds around to keep sun out of your eyes
I like this kind of stuff..👍
The replacement core you first ordered looks the same core Chris replaced on the D6 you purchased for him! 👏🏽👍🏼☺️
Close
Boss & Bubby Show!!! Its very good!!!.... Thank You!!!..... Is Bubby family???
No
Another job well done
Great Saturday coffee break watching you two. best part of working on a Cat is the test drive. great job.
Thanks
We bought one of the first Cat IT 28 loaders in the early 80s. It had the folded core radiator. It would overheat when operating a broom so Cat replaced the folded cores with the thicker cores and I suspect that's what happened to that dozer too. While the folded core will fit in any position, there are two different square cores depending on the position they are in,
Can we have a video of Kevin sand blasting and painting with his Mona Lisa artwork please. Great video as usual.
One day
@@C_CEQUIPMENT yes sir.
Clint, I’m impressed, you don’t cut corners on the parts, if it needs, you replace it. That’s my motto too, you are to fix it, do it while you have it apart the first time. I think you run a top shop!
Thanks
Its so nice of you to help out and work so patiently with the special people and teach them a trade . lol
Lol
Smooth Sounding , and running.
yet again guys 👍👍👍
Nice workbench. Nice, lots of room..
Great content
Thanks
Man, You make me miss the Army so much. I have so many hours on all that old equipment. I'd also seen the old air compressor. Those things are beast. We used to open 4 lines soldiers would walk holding the hoses blowing off the motor pools and air strips. If I ever get up that way from Ky, I will definitely be stopping by to say hello. I still have all my original keys from the dozers, MW24C, SEE and a few others.
Cool
Great to watch guys ! Brilliant to watch you and Kevin working together, I get the feeling that there is always plenty of fun when you two are on the same job. Respect from Scotland. And well done to Hunter reversing that ehhh well loaded dump truck the other day he did extremely well to get even close to the burn pile lol. Bet Chris [ LD18 ] Couldn't believe his eyes when he saw those loads rolling along.🤣🤣🤣
Lol
Yup this is my second or third time watching this and it’s always good to for me you guys know how to have fun but using the truck as a Jack is a little risky but it’s a ford 👍😎🇺🇸NY
I lake it I enjoyed watching it cool lou.
Great video. I love how you keep a positive attitude no matter what comes along 👍❤️
D7 sounds sweet.
Love seeing you use those Eaton fittings. I actually make all of those one piece fittings. It's cool to see the end use for them.
Great to see and hear a classic D7 again! Shame you guys are having serious issues getting parts. Please show more classic Cats and as much other gear and auction footage as possible! I'm just lovin' it from Down Under!!
Thanks
Will do
Good stuff another Kevin episode. Definitely the best ones.
You can buy all kinds of containers at dollar store with lids. Store your hardware in them and magic marker on masking tape where the hardware goes.
you dudes are the best. so entertaining
Ya know Clint . It baffles me why I watch these as I will never in a million years even touch a dirt mover machine BUT find these so interesting to watch. Its crazy. same with Dirt Perfect and Letsdig18 and a bunch more .
That's old cat strat s right up that's a good one
Boy that somebody guy sure does get around. Let me know if you see him. I believe there may even be a reward for his capture. Lol God bless
I'd like to see the prep work and paint procedure that Kevin does on one of these machines just once
One day
Clint, I love watching you and Sauage Fingers working on these dozers. This the second time around for me on this one as well.
Went through a similar ordeal with my D7E 48A last winter. Had a transmission oil cooler go and that was the beginning of the repairs. Ended up tearing into the front end deeper then I’d planed when I found play on the fan hub shaft. After many hours of sourcing parts making parts and fixing a few of the old parts it’s back up and running again. Sure a good thing you caught the fan blade while it was apart. Isn’t a fun job to do with the rad in. I pulled the cylinder cross support and cylinders off to do the job.
Yea it never stops it seems
I remember those fuel tanks in the weld shop in Bldg LL . That seam is a one time weld by line welders and when finished welded , then pressure tested in a 6x4x12 foot water tank . The tank had under water cameras and the inspector’s job was to look at all the welds for bubbles which you could see plainly . They pressurized the tank 3 times the normal pressure . He had a piece of black crayon marker and would mark the leaks and the repair welds would be conducted by a separate welder .
Interesting
That is a nice tractor. When you go to sell it be sure to put “New Spider” in the ad. People will think it comes with a tarantula.
Great vldeo good to see Keven out of the shop
With reference to your comment regarding using American made tools I totally agree.
I far prefer to buy something made in the USA or Japan or sometimes Europe although I think nations bordering on or in the Pacific have declining commonality with Europe these days.
But when I recently did some research on the internet it claimed that the parent company which currently owns Milwaukee is based in Hong Kong.
It also said only a few Milwaukee tools are still made in the USA and many, are now made in communist China.
Lower standards for materials and workmanship aside I avoid buying stuff made in communist China because I do not intend to contribute to maintaining the economic and military expansion and strength for an enemy of democratic freedom if I can avoid it.
Great jacket Kevin…
Hi from uk guys👋👍 great job getting the rad done 👍 nothing worse than taking something apart then having afew minutes in between reassembly but yeah great job lads👌 and something awesome about super fast tracking I think sound is awesome that slap off the pads rolling ect 👌 and nearly at 50k subs guys 👍💪 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
Thanks
Like before watching as always 🙂
Thanks
That is a smooth runnin Cat..... Great Vid👍👍👍👍🍿😎🛠🛠
Thanks
vous faite vraiment du bon travail interessant
Spot on Kevin - Laurel and Hardy. Though Mutt and Jeff or Abbott and Costello also come to mind!
I would have thought working on big machines would be easy, but watching you fellas has changed my mind. So fiddly and so inaccessible! You certainly earn your money. I do enjoy the "Struggle" Happy days.
Thanks
One of best dozer cat ever made
True
Great video Clinton and Kevin
Thanks
Good Morning Clint & Kevin, Catching up on your Channel is a Highlight of my Weekend. Keep It Safe Out There Fella’s
Thanks
No more telling someone when something will be done when ordered parts are involved. Nice job all around.
Awesome video Clint
why nt weld the fan?? i would try it
Another fine job by the C&C crew! That’s what I like about you guys you don’t skip anything. If it needs replacing it gets replaced! Thanks for sharing, Clint.
I were in the market for a used machine, I'd certainly look first ( and probably last ) to Clint's store!
Thanks
Thanks for the video! Greatly appreciate it disabled Country hick from the sticks Dude does.
Its Amazing the ROI you can get on used machines as crazy as the market is now days . She looks like a good solid machine. Good Job keeping Kevin under control lol
Lol
Someone has to
Good job
I remember changing those radiator sections in a 3508 genset years ago. It sucked!
ANOTHER GREAT UTUBE KEEP KEVEN BUSY AND ACTIVE BAYTOWN TEXAS
Thanks
Next time you order parts look for the engineering change with the part number, should look like P/N 1234567 EC XX on your bad part , so when you order them they will send you the correct part . Mil Spec are usually non current Engineering Changes because the DOD buys the same crawlers that they bought 30 years ago .
Great video would be nice to see Kevin doing his paint magic some time
One day
Some thing wrong if you get done with reassembly of a machine and you don’t have extra parts laying around when your done. It’s going to run good gentlemen, I wouldn’t be afraid to own it, especially with you guys working on it. Thanks for the ride along.
Exactly
Thanks
Sorry that you had remove the radiator, but I'm glad you did, so I could see how to remove the one in my CAT 955. Been dreading it, now I think it won't be so bad. Thanks, great video as always.
Thanks
Good to get the comedy from kev.did I catch him right in calling your fingers little sausages. Where does he come up w this stuff.a good sat.morning tickle.fun stuff.
I’m sure he did lol
Reversible fan blades, something like I saw on Terex dozers. An effective way to back flow the airstream and help clean the external cores. Push in and twist.....
You saved a bunch of money if that blade would’ve went through the radiator you have been out a pile
enjoy your videos
Getting where I would rather watch you than DP😊
