A lot of the guns used in this video are using the old models, which for the sake of keeping the skin design the same as the game went from the old generation to its brand new iteration. I was sort of expecting him to comment on how the AW/P in earlier Counter-Strike games was stated to use .338 Lapua Magnum cartridges, but that option was only available on the AW/M Magnum version of the rifle.
Back in original CS (1.6), you could select which faction/unit you wanted at the start of the game. CT's had French GIGN, SAS, Navy Seals and the German GSG-9 as options that you could play as. In todays game you have to buy those skins :(
It's strange to me that we got one different autosniper for each team but both of the bolt actions are shared. Imagine if T's "AWP" was a Mosin or Kar98 instead.

something missed on the FAMAS, the model is a bit of a hybrid. the front end is a G2 FAMAS with a full knuckle trigger guard but the mag well is from the G1 pattern for the proprietary G1 FAMAS mags, however despite the mag well not being set up for it they jammed an M4/M16 magazine in there. the G2 FAMAS extended the mag well and added a different latching system, and on the model you can even see the hole for the mag catch sticking outside of the mag well.
17:30 - CS2 has two different models per gun... the default unskinned variant is the newer model, but most of the full-body skins are actually the old CS:GO model with a shader tweak... so technically skins DO change the model of the gun, and the Negev featured onscreen is the old version where they did actually hastily/inaccurately model things.
My buddy has a real transferable Mac10 and I have shot it suppressed and unsuppressed quite a bit and I agree, the suppressor helps a lot with recoil management with that rate of fire.
I love hearing people's reactions to the insane prices of skins, because to us who play the game we've gotten used to it and to us it's normal, but the reality is that the skin market can be ridiculous and I honestly wish it wasn't that way
19:13 i think the choice for the twin beretta 92s here is its because of a Black Lagoon reference(Revy dual weilds 2 Beretta 92 Inox guns, with an extended barrel which is nicknamed "the silver cutlass")
17:30 Yes on CS2 Skins do change the model of the gun, since all skins came from CSGO most of it are using the CSGO models instead of the new and high fidelity models, and i checked the skin Jonathan was looking and it still uses the old CSGO model.
well, the gun just don't have a role. As most people play bomb, Ts are attacking and DMR on attack isn't that versatile especially with hefty 5000$ price tag. While SCAR for CTs is kinda the same but because CTs are the defenders who expect an attack here SCAR can be a surprise pick with a scope, 2-bodyshot damage and 20 round mag with M4 reload. Enough to slaughter an entire team if lucky and skilled.
Went to Royal Armories today, it was so great seeing arms and armour that I've watched tons of videos on, on this channel and others! Honestly, it was fantastic. 10/10 will visit again
Jonathan being traumatized by those cosmetic/skin so much, that he moved into a new room to regain his sanity back. And I haven't seen him being shocked like that 4:27 since COD Vanguard video, lol.
I still think the "Specialists" mod for HL1 (CS 1.6) did guns and gunplay probably better than even modern games. It had a really large arsenal, and pretty much every pistol and compact SMG/PDW could be dual wielded, which made it a blast to play along side the max payne inspired bullet time shenanigans you could pull off. Even against bots it was really fun since it was like an action movie from the 80's with all the diving and shooting around corners.
just wanna point out that in the older CS games (before GO) the dual berettas were just called "dual elites", so it makes sense that they used the "92G Elite" variant
20:10 he didn't mention that cs go completely messed up the hammer on the beretta. Look at how high those hammers are, basically up at the iron sight. It doesn.t go up that high when cocked
18:23 Surprised that Dave didn't chime in here with the fact that GIGN (at least in Global Offensive, I don't know if it's still true for 2) were one of the teams in the game, so it's not completely unrealistic that the FAMAS would appear.
about skins in CS:2, because they ported over CS:GO weapon skins, and haven't updated all of them for CS:2, there are skins that do change the gun's model to the CS:GO model, so it's probably best to use the default gun skin first then moving to a skin. examples of gun skins seen that change the weapon models are: the MP5-SD Necro jr. skin, the M4A4 mainframe skin, the P250 X-ray Skin and the Negev drop me skin).
I'm not 100% sure if this is the case, but in reference to why they keep "yeeting the guns off into the distance" - I think that's because drop weapon has always been bound to G by default in CS, at least as long as i can remember. And so at the end of a half/match (when you don't need to worry about saving your weapons for the next round) dropping the gun followed by the pistol as they did in that clip, means they've pressed GG.
I’d like to think these random filming locations where Jonathan has dozens of weapons and cool stuff on racks are actually his basement garage shed etc and not just storage rooms at Royal Armories
I feel like they are slowly moving Jonathan more and more into the storage section of the building

I love hearing people's reactions to the insane prices of skins, because to us who play the game we've gotten used to it and to us it's normal, but the reality is that the skin market can be ridiculous and I honestly wish it wasn't that way
0:18 - It's called cosmetics, it serves to empty the pockets of the kids' parents :D
19:13 i think the choice for the twin beretta 92s here is its because of a Black Lagoon reference(Revy dual weilds 2 Beretta 92 Inox guns, with an extended barrel which is nicknamed "the silver cutlass")
A true lies reference?!
He truly is a man of culture.
Also, wasn't Bruce Willis' 92 in the first die hard flipped for left handed use?
17:30 Yes on CS2 Skins do change the model of the gun, since all skins came from CSGO most of it are using the CSGO models instead of the new and high fidelity models, and i checked the skin Jonathan was looking and it still uses the old CSGO model.

I really wish Valve updated the G3 to the PSG1/MSG90 rifles. Sadly its such a novelty gun that pros don't ever use in-game.
well, the gun just don't have a role.
Exactly the reason why people generally don't use DMRs in game. They're also commonly mocked as n00b guns.
Went to Royal Armories today, it was so great seeing arms and armour that I've watched tons of videos on, on this channel and others! Honestly, it was fantastic. 10/10 will visit again
Note on the famas - the counter-terrorists are actually GIGN in the CS Cannon, so a french gun suits them perfectly!
I smiled when he mentioned the mac10 dropping down stairs and firing
just wanna point out that in the older CS games (before GO) the dual berettas were just called "dual elites", so it makes sense that they used the "92G Elite" variant
The command you have to enter for keybinding buying dual berettas in a buyscript is still 'bind "buy elite" to this day.
Skins actually do have different models than the stock variants, as CS2 has brand new models and most older skins use the older models.
G3SG1 built-in bipod in CS2 is missing (present in Jonathans hands). I had such airsoft replica a while back, very fragile original bipod mount :)
20:10 he didn't mention that cs go completely messed up the hammer on the beretta. Look at how high those hammers are, basically up at the iron sight. It doesn.t go up that high when cocked
Fascinating how he can differentiate such small details
I can can already hear ohne going ‘WAASSS??!’ When Jonathan guesses the case-hardened is around £100
I thought, "I wonder If this would fire if Jamie Lee Curtis dropped it down the stairs" just before he said it 😂
18:52 the hammer rotation points on the Berettas in the cocked position look off, as if they were too high on the frames
i really hope we get a part 2 of this, id love for Jonathan to see the glocks burst fire.
Would be cool to see Jonathan review real life weapon "skins" like cartel customs and such
Negev pronunciation was perfect, Ian!
Been playing Counter-Strike since 'Condition Zero' (and 'Half-Life', from which it was originally modded), so love videos like these.
18:23 Surprised that Dave didn't chime in here with the fact that GIGN (at least in Global Offensive, I don't know if it's still true for 2) were one of the teams in the game, so it's not completely unrealistic that the FAMAS would appear.
I find it interesting that for Counter Strike 2 they decided to go with more retro gun models.
about skins in CS:2, because they ported over CS:GO weapon skins, and haven't updated all of them for CS:2, there are skins that do change the gun's model to the CS:GO model, so it's probably best to use the default gun skin first then moving to a skin. examples of gun skins seen that change the weapon models are: the MP5-SD Necro jr. skin, the M4A4 mainframe skin, the P250 X-ray Skin and the Negev drop me skin).
"What is that? Explain" might be my favorite thing Johnathan has said in response to a skin
Royal Armories *is* his shed. They keep him there in a Jonathan safe until he's needed.
Nice they finally got Johnathon a decent camera for these videos!
Jonathan the whole video: Look at this really nice depiction of this gun!
Famas part: Ah yes...the french
😂
I'd like to see Jonathan give us his thoughts on slow mo ballistic gel tests.
I definitely never thought about how you'd have to mirror various features of a pistol to make it workable one-left-handed.
That True Lies reference made me feel so old.
Thanks Jonathan -.-
I like the reference to True Lies. Thanks for throwing that in there
