But when it's used as malicious gossip against another person it should be shut down HARD. In this case it might help calm the guy down, but I think he was too altered for it to really be effective.

An epic night is when my sober friend was driving me home in his Corvette and I jumped out of the car to go back to the party and a cop pulled my sober friend over to check his exhaust and see if his car was street legal while I stumbled back to the party. They let my friend go but they didn't even question the drunk dude randomly leaping out of a moving car, they just wanted to check my guys car out.

Actions like this is why I quit drinking 30 years ago. Whenever I’m around people drinking and they start acting out, I leave. I don’t attend any functions where alcohol is served. I was very lucky to have seen myself on cam early in my drinking career. Campus bar, first year, lots of videos. We were all drunk, but I couldn’t take my eyes off of myself. Just a total bullshitting fucktard. I didn’t even talk that much, but when I did, I was a total douche. It didn’t put me off of the occasional drink now or then, but it sure as hell put me off of excessive drinking. The only time I got massively drunk after that was when my dad died. And I did it alone. At home.

Well they don't actually want you to get better, they can't get anymore money out of you if you quit. They never showed me the video of me punching the guard at the jail when I was 21. 10 years later I'm finally sober but not before 3 d.u.i.s and a couple felonies. All the trouble I got in and the courts never told me I couldn't drink until my 3rd one. I had already decided to go to rehab by the time the courts tried to tell me not to drink. They love addicts they make millions off us. Court ordered rehabilitation is what people like this need. I know I was one of them, it would've done a lot more than just putting me on probation and complaining about my weed habit. Weed wasn't the problem but that's all they cared about.
