Jevon, this is a really interesting film. I've watched loads of "How to" videos on starts but have never seen this approach before - it works on so many levels. Kudos sir, and thanks to your volunteer.
Im still teaching her how to properly engage her hips and hit the right angles, the distance is correct but her approach is wrong, but once she fixes that, it will be better🔥🔥🔥
The distance stays the same regardless of shoes, but one step behind the line is good for 2 points since its closer to accurate distancing in blocks🔥🔥🔥
@@jevonsutherland all clear, thanks! Still hard for me trying to drop my knee at gun off, maybe because i am a masters sprinter and angles at about 45 degrees are hard to manage
This is wrong / useless! You can't expect to run faster just be increasing stride length. It's all about how much force or better impulse an athlete generates. Just focusing on step length will result in overstriding longer contact times and slower times! Moving the COM horizontally is the ultimate goal. But Not landing further in front.. 😢
correct which is exactly why you need to teach the athlete to apply more force to displace the hip directly above the next step instead of reaching for the next step and overstriding. Everything is about FORCE not stride length, but to produce more force you need to push and that creates a longer stride length. Giving this to an athlete without any explanation won't do much, but teach them how to push and it does a lot for velocity🔥🔥🔥

Im glad you enjoyed the novelish approach🔥🔥🔥
This is interesting, i need to get some tape and check this at training. I havemt really analysed my steps when starting. Thank you for this video 👏🏾.
focus on pushing back instead of reaching out, if you miss the line you miss it🔥🔥🔥
Thanks, back again to say i recently just got a new PB 11.41 in the 100m, Hoping for you and I to reach sub 11 soon and ill tell my next 100/200
Love to see it, maybe this season the 100 and 200 will look interesting🔥🔥🔥
Very informative thanks
No problem
Thanks dude, I will start doing this also. Should it be further when using spikes and also if you land way ahead of you hips you won't be fast.

@@jevonsutherland ok, wish her good luck, am going to take the rest of the week off, cause I fell from the stairs.
Will do, get better soon!👊🏾
My 7th step lands at around 9.2-3 meter I'm avg 5'10-11 runner this might work for me too so thank you ❤❤
how much space should we put between each tape?
1:48🔥🔥🔥
you are saying .."when you are in the set, your front knee drops down".... i guess you mean at the moment the gun goes off, correct??
Yes, I meant from set into initial movement🔥🔥🔥
