About Project 21
Project 21 is dedicated to achieving two ambitious sprinting goals: 10.4 seconds in the 100m and 21 seconds in the 200m. These times will qualify me for national competitions and place me in the England Athletics Senior Development Programme. This series is about more than my own progress; it’s designed to inspire and equip you with insights, training, and motivation to elevate your sprinting game.

    if you wanna run 60s measure using the hurdle markings not guessing with the app 💀 for 60s the 3rd yellow from the 100m start line is 30m and the last green dark hurdle marking is 60m from the 100m start line so can get the 30-60. Also don't expect to run fast in shitty conditions like this especially if it's kinda cold anything lower than like 18 degrees = slower times generally!

      I'll have to check, honestly I'm just being difficult, we have a 40m marking on the track but I like to start near the start instead of mid track so it becomes my 50m mark since I always start from 110😂 but I'll check the markings and use what I can next time instead of being difficult🔥🔥🔥

    7.4-7.8 with the freelap seems slow considering your season opener! How are you starting? E-starter or touchpad? And how do you measure the distances? Nice vid 👏🏼

      I'm using the touchpad and for the distances the measure app on my iphone, I moved the cones around but I always got within this range regardless of whether I shrunk or widened the distance

      Don’t let the freelap send you mad overthinking things. My son stopped timing and just trained consistently. Freelap is best for fly timing if they are fast acceleration is usually good too.

      I'm more annoyed with how they're wrong for how much I spent on them but I don't mind too crazily since I know I'm faster than those times anyway but that is important to remember🔥🔥🔥

    The blocks aren’t the problem though If you had a great block set up do you think you’d go from 7.14 to 6.9 Athlete speaking to an athlete

      Yes because my issue has always been the first 20m since im force deficient meaning i struggle to produce a lot of force slowly at the start, the 7.14 wasnt really indicative of my abilities since i pretty much just fell out of the blocks which i cant even chalk up to being force deficient just a bad race which i proved wasnt indicative of my abilities later🔥🔥🔥

      im assuming you mean weights on the ankles for sprinting? I don't but yohan blake does. I prefer a weighted vest since you can go heavier and it trains vertical force components rather well and isn't a struggle to use for block starts, i feel like ankle weights might throw you off if you used them for blocks🔥🔥🔥

      It works, that pretty much the theory on deloading and reloading, another interesting fact is your body converts more of the quick fatiguing fastest fast twitch muscle fibres during about a 2 week period of rest🔥🔥🔥
