Oh snap!! I fn love Uncle Ted!! 💪👊🇺🇸 This song is serious Fire!! Another “Dazed and Confused” Sountrack BANGER!! Every song on that soundtrack! “Wango Tango” another cool Ted song! 💯✊
YOU ARE LISTENING TO ONE CRAZY MAN! I saw him in the 70s and it was an experience that I'll never forget!! He's not singing for some reason in this vid, but he can sing. You should check out the band that he was a part of; Damn Yankees. Killer!
Derek St Holmes is the actual vocalist. It happens in music more than people realize. London Homesick Blues by Jerry Jeff Walker is the same way. Gary P Nunn is the actual vocalist on it.
@@darkomtobia Nugent is the original singer on this song. That is why I'm surprised he didn't sing this time. But what do you mean it happens more than people realize?
@@darkomtobia Ok, I've heard of session players in the studio, but rock bands using other singers? Nahhh The singer who is on this video is part of the show and singing one of Nugent's songs. No biggie.
I am by no means a musician but I believe when you ask that question about how he does that noise with the guitar? With his left hand he's putting his finger on the string and moving it back and forth.
Cat Scratch Fever. Uncle Ted is a trip and a half. A lot of sounds you hear are from pedals that provide various effects or sometimes feedback from the amps. Nugent was so in the super-group Damn Yankees
I've seen all the great guitarists from Hendrix, Beck, Stevie Ray, and Page to Clapton. Ted has a place at that table! The biggest crime in Rock & Roll is not putting Nugent into the Hall of Fame for political reasons.
To get those "long streak noises" .. as you call them .. Ted is running his guitar pick up the strings .. As for "shaking the guitar" .. you're thinking of the 'whammy bar' on a electric guitar ..
This song was used in the movie INVINCIBLE a football movie of Vince Papale based on a true story of 30 year old bartender walk on to the Philadelphia eagles .in 1976 .but the song makes the movie !!! staring Mark Wahlberg),
Awww... Man, you gotta do the version off the.... Double Live Gonzo album, about 25 years earlier & a thousand concerts a go 😎 Actually play the whole album, you'll love it 🙂
Yep. And there are different techniques to get that sustain. At 7:15 he’s actually using a technique called pinch harmonics where you sort of attack/pick the strings with the side of your pick, to get kind of a “squeal”, so it’s more of a right hand technique. Just some nerdy guitar shit that sounds really cool. 😂
@@loriannrichardson7644 No, the racist is in the white house. Look what is happening to the Haitian people. (all sent back to haiti.) and all the hispanics? Haitians not even given a chance!
Fantastic in concert. I wasn't a big fan at all, Nugent happened to be opening for ZZTOP. It was an awesome show, and this song was the best part for me.
Its called feedback. Most artists try to get rid of it. Ted Nugent and Hendrix used it. Playing the type of guitar he does is also heavy feedback. But again.........he has harnessed it. Hollwed body guitars are notorious for feedback. SO you'll notice most rock guitarists wont play them.
youhave to sort of make love to the guitar and bend it, contort it and feel it. is the answer to his question. ted was a master god of guitar right after hendrix. they overlapped for a few years as players
Bending the Strings create that sound when bent effectively and Nugent is a very effective Guitarist
Uncle Ted, and Derek St Holmes… no matter what has passed.. they’re meant to rock on together.
This took me back To my days and high school. A must listen to is Ted Nugent wango tango
And to think they where in the 60s when this was filmed
You seriously need more Nugent on this channel, bro..... well played, man
The motor city madman
My Daddy bought me this album for my 6th birthday! Yes. My SIXTH birthday 😆 one of my most treasured memories! I was born loving ALL music 🔥🖤
@NoLimitTwon Thanks brother!! I should’ve been more specific with the version but thank you!! 🎸🔥😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏❤️
True, he should have found an older performance.

Uncle Ted is a badass!!! Loved him for years!!!
Was lucky to see him live, holy shit, Motor City Madman, one of the best I have ever seen

I was actually pissed that this wasn’t the studio version because I figured the live version might suck. But holy moly this thing is fucking great!
Cat Scratch Fever.

no he wasn't.
He uses his whammy bar to perfection.
I saw Terrible Ted in high school during the Qualuude era. I must have had fun. All i remember is that damn fuzzy tail he wore.
The cars. The dangerous type
Yo they NAILED that 🔥💥💯
There are 2 guitar players and sometimes guitarists have foot pedals to give you effects !!!...but Ted is just that good my man !!!
Twist your fingers to make that noise that you like. Or the tremolo bar.
Best concert i ever saw 1980.
One of those times when the studio version is better than the live version. You should give it a listen. My opinion only!
Agreed!! Studio version is Epic!! 🔥🔥💯✌️
Check out "Cat Scratch Fever" now from Uncle Ted!!
Great songs and great live show
Uncle Teddy My first concert ! I’ve seen him with Danm Yankees and Toby Keith and love to watch him rip that guitar up 😎

Check out "Motor City Madhouse" LIVE by Ted!!!
He's using feedback when just holding his hollow body guitar up and not playing because of the extreme volume on stage.

That doesn't mean he isn't one heck of a rocker!

Ted Nugent is farther right than Trump . Uncle Ted for Prez in 2024 !
Uncle Ted LOVES America. Period. The man is no idiot either. Very intelligent. Would not want to debate him.
Obviously, You don't know shit from shineola.
I think Ted is 70 here
The riff is so dirrrrrty. And the band has a killer running bass track to it to...

Pick up and learn the guitar, brotha
Ted Nugent is yuck. This came out when I was dating my bad boy boyfriend. So sickeningly sexist. Plus now his politics. He’s gross.
