I was 16 in 1974, I was a run away and left Colorado and went to Chicago... we would get blown away with any and every drug that we could get our youthful hands on... as we would drive around the entire city of Chicago into the evenings, then into the early mornings... 8 track was the means this album was recorded on and we wore this album out.... anyway your comment reminded me of this FAZE and DAZE of my life of grace on this planet. Praise Yahweh I made it to 63 because looking back it was only mercy (judgment withheld) and grace (unmerited favor) that has allowed me to still be alive.
Brother, you just got NUGGED!!!🥰🎸 They don't call Ted Nugent the MOTOR CITY MADMAN for nothing!!! I'm a Michigander and have seen him do it L-I-V-E! many, many times!!🇺🇲 Once, he came out on a real white buffalo in full indian headdress! Imagine that! I'll never forget it!!!
Welcome to the world of the motor city madman.. I got to see uncle Ted a couple of times. He is awesome in concert. Be different from other reactors and dive into his music. Check out: Cat scratch fever Great White Buffalo And Wango-tango. I'm 60 and grew up with this music. Enjoy this rabbit hole!!!
Light My Way. One of his lesser-known songs, but if you want to be carried along on a wave of rock'n roll, this is a great song for it. Also: Just What the Doctor Ordered Snakeskin Cowboy. Writing on the Wall Queen of the Forest First time I saw Ted was a Day on the Green around 76-77: Cheap Trick AC DC Blue Oyster Cult Journey Ted For the finale, Ted had Neal Schon join him and Ronnie Montrose showed up and joined in. 2nd time: George Thorogood opened. No better showman than Ted. None.
I saw Terrible Ted in concert at the Cleveland stadium out on the infield back in 1979. There there were 5 other bands that played too. Journey, Aerosmith, Triumph, Heart and J. Geils! Ted, the motor city mad man came on last. Truck loads of speakers were brought in for Ted. Walls of speakers. Finally Ted came out and opened with this song! TOTALLY BLEW OUR EARS OFF 🤣! Seriously, I couldn't hear anything hardly at all for a week afterwards! Best concert I ever saw! Ted was insane! Best part ... Tickets were $12. People were so wasted. Some girl in the infield near us passed out and they hauled her off on a stretcher before the concert even started! Great to see Haze Bruv doing this song with a fabulous reaction! Love it Haze! Do more please! Love to you Haze! 😘💕🤗😁
Great story!!! I saw Ted at the Cal Jam 2 concert at the Ontario Speedway in California 1978.They saved him for last at this concert too so we waited all day for him. He came out wearing skin tight white pants with a raccoon tail in the back 😆 no shirt and all that hair! He ripped into Cat scratch fever and we lost our minds! If you weren't smoking already you definitely got a contact high just from the air 😂 our ears buzzed for day's! One of the best day's of my young life. ✌😎🍀
I saw him twice. The first was a Day on the Green at Candlestick Park: Cheap Trick AC/DC Blue Oyster Cult Journey Ted Nugent At the end of his set, Ted had Neil Schon join him, and Ronnie Montrose appeared to join them. I was 14 and in Heaven.
The man is a guitar God I've seen him twice live they keep snubbing him in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame double live Gonzo is the album to hear keeping rocking loving your videos
I play it every day different years did he sing stranglehold from 1975 till now he’s done 7500 concerts and still touring there’s nobody better than him and stranglehold baby
I've been "Ted-U-cated" 7 times. You must listen to the entire album "Double Live Gonzo"😎 Derek St Holmes sang most of the songs on this album. The 70s had the BEST music EVER.
i was there, BLUE SPRINGS was the calling the major and told them to turn down the music NOPE, DIRTY TED JAMMED,they could hear it in outer space,my ears never recovered,NUGENT IS A GENIUS ON THAT GIBSON
This solo, Frampton's - Do You Feel Like We Do ( off of Frampton Comes Alive), the outro solos from Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird and Eagles - Hotel California - and both solos from Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb are some of the best solos ever.
Cat Scratch Fever, Little Miss Dangerous, Wango Tango, Free for All, Motor City Madhouse, just to name a few! Uncle Ted is an amazing guitarist and performer. When I saw him in concert I was 16, he was swinging from a vine in a loin cloth shooting flaming arrows. Incredible show!! I’m now 57 and I still listen to Ted with the volume way up!!!
Nugent became famous in the 60's with a group called the Amboy Dukes. Ted is the king of feedback. He uses a hollow body guitar which will give you tons of feedback. He's also known for being loud in concert. If you ever see him better take earplugs. He had an outdoor concert in Kansas City that his guitar was heard 10 miles away.
One of those songs you play on 11 late night when it is just you in the car no wife or girlfriend driving out on a dark Interstate or country road on hot summer night Ted is on tour right now again.
Man I love what you said there, “A Perfect Song”. Had not listened to that in years and watching you react was like hearing for the first time! Just what I needed today. Thank you my friend ✌️
Love my Uncle Ted...I would like to incorporate Ted Nugents bow skills with my Military training to jump into Kodiak Island and bag a Griz with a Bow...whilst jamming to Ted's greatest Hits.
Also this song was used in the movie INVINCIBLE.. based on a true story of Vince Papaldi ,walk on Philadelphia Eagles football team.song made the movie !!
Check out the live version of this: California Jam 2 1978. Major ass kicking performance! Check out the camera shots of all the ladies in the audience eating it up!
The motor city madman- that’s his nickname, from Detroit….the guy is just raw. The second chapter of his career -The Damn Yankees. Wanna see what happens when rock stars from different bands have money, get together and have fun on a live stage? They do Teds song cat scratch fever- also do Styx song Renegade because Tommy Shaw from Styx wrote it and he’s in the band too- Please check those out live- please.
If you want to hear "Cousin Ted" at his finest, listen to any song off of Double Live Gonzo, including this song, recorded live on tour. You get guitar berserk outs from one end of the album to the other along with a healthy dose of Nugent's maniacal stage presence, which you don't get to experience with his studio recordings. Ted is a talker. lol
He. Blows u away. Here. Brother. Ur going have a heart attack. It’s the best of Ted Nugent listen to his 40 albums. Car scratch fever free for alll great white Buffalo. Dig it

My bad on the song bro. I'm talking about Ted Nugent's Motor City Madhouse California Jam 1978. That's the song I meant for you to look up. I think you'll like it 😄
Awesome reaction! It is an absolute joy to watch you discover the music that has been the soundtrack to my life and times. So if you like "Terrible Ted". the "Ten Fingers of Doom" so far then I'd suggest a couple of pretty good ones: "Free For All" and ''Great While Buffalo" I'd also suggest another guitar virtuoso by the name of Joe Satriani. He is a freakin' monster on the guitar. Here is a link to a live version of a song called "Surfing With the Alien". The performance is from the 2006 DVD release "Satriani LIVE!" ua-cam.com/video/d_0khAAItqg/v-deo.html Rock on! 🤘 Peace☮✌ LL&P🖖
This is a badass midnight driving type of song.

i was there, BLUE SPRINGS was the calling the major and told them to turn down the music NOPE, DIRTY TED JAMMED,they could hear it in outer space,my ears never recovered,NUGENT IS A GENIUS ON THAT GIBSON
I think that's where Ted said that they got complaints that his concert was disrupting milk production several miles away.
