I’d recommend putting a plexi glass or plastic sheet to cover the holes so that it doesn’t pour water into the hummer. That way it still gives it the look that it’s open, but it’s not.
You were so excited on your last video about the billet aluminum steps and Matt totally was taking in everything else and they didn't even register on his radar lol..
Thanks! The idea is an exposed cabin trail hummer. Have a hunch there's gonna be a ton of moisture, mud, sand etc everywhere once matt gets his hands on it! 😄
I was born and raised in shop life even myself have cut down on beers I have changed to Whiskey and it has seemed to help it is the best view on Bodywork I have ever seen
You should fill the holes with clear epoxy, you could see them but you won't get wet or blown out by air or dust. It would look cool with back lighting.
You guys are Killin It! Windshield, how bout the old Jeep, boats, old cars, turn the knobs and lay em on the HOOD. Don't have to find glass just have it made for the new frame. Besides all the ones ya find probably got Bullet holes in em anyway!
You should get with the guy for Flex Seal to seal all the holes. Matt would be on board with that I am sure and if it can keep a boat floating it will keep the water out LOL
I feel like you should put some kind of plate behind all of the holes in the cab to prevent them from both water leakage and from the air whistling in the holes. Heck, you could even paint the plates in such a way as to make the holes more noticeable.
Pack the holes with fiberglass screen and blackjack roofing cement. that polyurethane is tenacious once cured. Much better than silicone. Fiberglass screen is the rebar.
There are HDPE panels you can mount to underbody skid plates that allow vehicles to slide on the rocks. You could use those to "plate" the underbody to help keep water out
All that power coming in now. Just remember that they arent designed to do anything over 55-60 mph. And dont even think about sudden turns at speed. Good thing youre adding an exoskeleton
You want the engine so it can be a daily driver, but then leave all the bullet holes just open? The whistling going down the road is going to drive you crazy and when water splashes up thru them, you'll be miserable. You're going to have to clad the inside with a product to fully seal it. Leave the holes in the outside for show, but fully sealed inside. Maybe a clear acrylic?
@jumaqua yep, watch regularly. He also makes bad decisions and has to fix them all the time. He just changed the motor in the Cuda a short time ago because he made the wrong choice. I assure you the holes look badass, but the reality will quickly be annoying, and he'll regret it.
Would be able to plate tye outside of those holes in footwell and center tunnel with plexiglass so you can still see thru the holes? And some rock crawling lights to back light the holes!
Hear me out, use black urethane caulk on the inside of the holes so they're still holes but in turn will be water tight, and no probably won't work on the holes as big as your fist
I like the content, but NOT the camera whipping around. It's almost dizzying how those rapid camera turns occur. I get the same feeling watching the section of Star Wars where the X-wings were dropping down into the trench on the Death Star where the blurry speed vision makes me start to feel ill. Maybe get a 3rd person to do the camera work instead of your blogger?
15:38 this things going to whistle like a flute going down the road 🤣
I’d recommend putting a plexi glass or plastic sheet to cover the holes so that it doesn’t pour water into the hummer. That way it still gives it the look that it’s open, but it’s not.
Sitting at a stoplight, fresh air and exhaust coming in.
Love it when Matt stops by! Just a solid dude with a goofy side 😆
Y’all have some great craftsmen working for your company to bring this thing back to life 🇺🇸💪🏼🇺🇸
Thank you so much! We do have an amazing family here and very fortunate they chose to be part of the Predator family. Thanks again!
You should call that color DemOD Green.
The whistling Hummer, sponsored by flexi- seal tape! Lol
Hahahha
Came here to say Flex-Seal. I knew I would find it.
5:45 Imagine going stargazing with this thing, you'd never have to leave the driveway lmao. It's actually kinda beautiful in a chaotic way
You were so excited on your last video about the billet aluminum steps and Matt totally was taking in everything else and they didn't even register on his radar lol..
True craftsman! I’m surprised there isn’t a moisture barrier on the inside like roofers use.
Thanks! The idea is an exposed cabin trail hummer. Have a hunch there's gonna be a ton of moisture, mud, sand etc everywhere once matt gets his hands on it! 😄
SD for the win!
That is a ton of work to get it back running!!!! It looks great!!
Thanks so much!!! Yes, tons of hours. It is turning out insane though! Getting close! Thanks so much for watching!
The bullet holes makes it badass
Men at Work 💪🏻💯
🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Use chrome steel as patches to highlight the holes, yet protect the riders
Great idea!!!
Engrave Demo Ranch and add LED lights. Would look sweet. Acrylic almost like bullet proof glass.
Great call!
I was born and raised in shop life even myself have cut down on beers I have changed to Whiskey and it has seemed to help it is the best view on Bodywork I have ever seen
I agree with Randy
Haha, you know we can't tell him that. It would go to his head and we would never hear the end of it! Haha
If you leave the corner f'd up on the roof rack, there should be a matching hole/dent on the hummer for it to sit nicely in.
Nice shirt Matt, Bradley would be proud 👍👍
Great 🇺🇸 stuff 🇺🇸 👍
Hellof a job guy's!! I did body work for 20yrs.. Can't wait till Matt drives down the road an all the holes start to whistle I'm going LMAO
it should be named the Holy Hummer!
Could you use a big sheet of black poly 1/16"and shape into the headliner to redirect water?
For all the holes why not add some black sealant inside the holes to keep water out but it still retain the look
You should fill the holes with clear epoxy, you could see them but you won't get wet or blown out by air or dust. It would look cool with back lighting.
Yah i like the back lightinging idea!
You guys are Killin It! Windshield, how bout the old Jeep, boats, old cars, turn the knobs and lay em on the HOOD. Don't have to find glass just have it made for the new frame. Besides all the ones ya find probably got Bullet holes in em anyway!
all that work to smooth the holes. Matt- What if it rains? Oh I didn't think of that
You should get with the guy for Flex Seal to seal all the holes. Matt would be on board with that I am sure and if it can keep a boat floating it will keep the water out LOL
cover the intieror holes with clear plastic epoxy , or glue on clear plastic floor mats to the holes and the intieror roof holes.....
The Bonnie and Clyde Hummer
I feel like you should put some kind of plate behind all of the holes in the cab to prevent them from both water leakage and from the air whistling in the holes. Heck, you could even paint the plates in such a way as to make the holes more noticeable.
The road noise is going to be nuts
Pack the holes with fiberglass screen and blackjack roofing cement. that polyurethane is tenacious once cured. Much better than silicone. Fiberglass screen is the rebar.
That thing will sound like a damn harmonica going down the road
Since they are real bullet holes they can be airbrushed like the fake ones. #bigflex #realbulletholes
Cover the whole car and clear flex seal tape.Keep the bullet hole patina No water, no whistles. Win, win.win. Lol.
Haha, best response yet!!!! 😆
Dump/spray a bunch of cavity wax in the holes/doors to prevent rusting!!
Is it too late to convert roof to a H1 Slant back.
Radio delete? Trade in the stero sys for a slant back conversion
Clear Plexiglass behind the holes to make watertight
You want the engine so it can be a daily driver, but then leave all the bullet holes just open? Have you seen Matt content? He has plenty of novelty cars. This won’t be a daily driver. Just another cool thing in his garage
@jumaqua yep, watch regularly. He also makes bad decisions and has to fix them all the time. He just changed the motor in the Cuda a short time ago because he made the wrong choice. I assure you the holes look badass, but the reality will quickly be annoying, and he'll regret it.
In the 🌧️ it will be like a sieve
I'm not sure if you've discussed it in a previous video, but what happened with the original block? Because Matt & Vice Grip got it started
Junkyard Digs Did , ViseGrip did the El'Camino with Matt.
Bullet Hole Breen. Brown green
Important!!!
Please use acrylic so you can still see the bullet holes. Acrylic would work great. Don’t use aluminum.
Agreed, acrylic would really show all the holes. Thanks so much for watching
You can call the truck Whistlin Diesel
Hahahahha 100%!!!
Would be able to plate tye outside of those holes in footwell and center tunnel with plexiglass so you can still see thru the holes? And some rock crawling lights to back light the holes!
fill all the holes in with rubber grommets and this is the second time we've seen this video
Demo camo green
Acrylic clear pour. Filles holes yet you can still see everything. Make it 1inch thick. No sharp edges.
Once dry you can sand/polish it to clear form. Keeping the look.
Paint the aluminum panel red and plate behind the bullet holes
What is the color of the soft-top next to it on the driver side?
Rose gold
With the holes, it can't be a Hummer anymore. It's going to be a Whistler.
Argh, they finally mentioned it in the last 2 minutes.
Whet Whistler or Wet Whistler
Matt's out here because ..... he needs to pay a portion of the bill.
Haha
Maybe clear epoxy some of the holes to minimize water build up.
Can you put clear perspex over the holes
Greetings and salutation ,, How about Plexi-glass to " cover " the holes but see through?
Clear acrylic plugs?
Color name is "Shiny Turd"
Thought you were gonna fix the holes. Lol
No, plan was to always keep the holes. We cleaned up the holes so it's nolonger sharp. Thanks for watching.
Never knew you guys existed until Matt's video.
You could call that an "aerated " frame
Haha, or self draining water holes for river crossings.
Name: Whet Whistler
Needs: an air horn & a long horn
I just call it the intertubes, since as we all know the internet is just a series of tubes.
Plexiglass inside the inner tub. You can still see the holes but not get wetaf
Helicopter comms. 1 headset per passenger
Probably going to need them especially if running 40" tires!
Motorcycle comms are available
Those bullet holes are going to whistle so bad
It is going to whistle when he drives down the road.
Where is jason
Hes moving out of the state
All at different pitches to
Hear me out, use black urethane caulk on the inside of the holes so they're still holes but in turn will be water tight, and no probably won't work on the holes as big as your fist
It has to have some war wounds on the hummer
When people under 6ft wear short jeans they always look tiny until someone walks up to them
Just don't give it back to Matt, he will blow it up 🤔🤔🤔🤕🤕🤕🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🔥🔥🔥😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You’ll have to make up a story about going to Mexico and fighting the cartels and serving because your hummer protected you.😮
You nead a hole in the roof for the 50 cal😅
It is going to whistle a lot.
Making up for shooting up the armored car that cost him so many subscribers he never released part 2.
I like the content, but NOT the camera whipping around. It's almost dizzying how those rapid camera turns occur. The laugh is more horrifying than a ruptured air hose.
To much power is a sign of old age! SMH
