Even after years of eating with this guy, there are still a few videos I go back and watch again.... this is one of them. What a series of meals this day, absolutely ultimate, a properly good day of food touring. WOW
You all need to stop hating on joel and mark for their food reactions. We finally got the mark wiens lean back! Thats his signature and the reason why he has so many fans. The past couple months of videos just wasnt the same without it. Mark, stay true to yourself and stop censoring your genuine reactions out! And include joel whenever you can! I love the videos when both of you are eating and reacting together! Cant wait for the day when micah can join in on the reactions!
I don’t know why people are mad about Joel copying Mark’s reactions. He’s cool and nice like Mark and others, I don’t mind someone copying my face reactions after he/she eat a meal. Joel is a nice guy, they should have him more often, speaking about that Joel is mostly there in Mark’s new videos but most of the time he teaches English to kids and biking so he does other stuffs too but it’ll be more better to Joel traveling with Mark’s family.
Nothing like peppers from Laos! LOL. Loved this tour Mark. Being Laotian and never gotten the chance to visit, I got to live through you in this video. Thanks for visiting Laos! ❤️
Salivating & homesick at all the local dishes. Never returned to my birth country since I was born. Will be my bucket list to return home with my own family when my kids are older. Live today; tomorrow is not guaranteed.
I love when your friend joins you. He has such a kind and happy face and presence. I love when you both enjoy something so much that it translates to all of us and makes us smile. The food today looked amazing. I still can't get into the organ meat, but the use of so many beautiful vegetables makes my mouth water.
Everyone loves Mark! I've been watching him since 2017 and I think he literally added 6 million subscribers since 2017! He is THE BEST FOOD VLOGER IN THE WORLD!
I’m all here for the 30min videos! I love this channel. You help me build my appetite while I’m going through chemo treatment Mark! Thank you for these awesome videos! And Joe is cool lol.
Nice to see your comment. His videos also help me with appetite problems due to health reasons. And it helps that he has such a great outlook on life. I had a friend suggest Mukbang videos, but they actually do the opposite...and make me extremely nauseated. Mark’s videos are uplifting, appetizing and always put a smile on my face. And seeing Ying & Micah makes it 100 times better. I hope that you’ve been well and are in remission as I type this...much love my fellow Migrationology fan!! ✌🏻🥰😊
Love Laos, and wishing to visit and do my part, a Korean version of seeing Laos, and people, culture and history of their own voice, that will be my youtube all aboue...when I do, Mark..
Mark thanks for the Laos tour. I’m American born Laos and have never been there. It’s nice to watch the video and understand them and see the food. Duck blood dish is awesome. We make it here also.
You can’t help it but make the same expressions as Mark! I would be making those faces too! That’s why I love watching Mark! I wish I was Joel right now eating with Mark, Ying, and Micah!!
Wow Mark!!! To be honest I am watching ur videos since almost 5 years and I had had a break since circa 1 year. Sry 4 that. Well, I am actually getting Goosebombs when writing this! Over 1,5 Million...never ever could imagine it! But dreamed for it! Well. I have a lot to watch at April. But I know ur videos are awesome anway! God bless Micah, Ying and You! Love u all sooo much! Wow! Your meal tour from morning to evening was quite a festive experience. You can imagine the blend of spiciness, saltiness, sourness & herb smell of the local menus. Thank you Mark of the Great experience
I'm glad that you enjoy the trip in vientiane, usually I don't see much people talk about vientiane and Laos but they do talk about Luang prabang because it a famous tourist city but I still enjoy watching these kind of video
Ok...so is it Lao or Laos? I’ve been wondering. Or are they two different places. And for that matter how do you pronounce Laos? As where I’m from we’ve always pronounced it Lay-oce.
Mark I have been watching your vlogs for a while now and this is my first comment. I feel like we're brothers from another mother. I was born in Laos but grew up in the states, my family immigrated when I was 5yrs. This vlog hit home for me. Thanks for sharing my roots. When I visit Laos or Thailand we'll have to share a meal. Hope all is well. Stay safe, eat well...
I think you and joel make such sympathetic partners -- one in mind , heart and stomach in the nascent pleasure of discovering diverse culinary treasures.
The best combination is the two of you eating and experiencing the food. Your facial expressions are priceless together and combined with your description, Mark, it translates to my tastebuds. Yum!
Hallo Mark, I'm a Laosian and original Vientiane people, but I have never go where u have shown me on this video. Thank you so much for this good video, ya for sure next time i'll following where the place that you were and thank you again that you have shown all around the world our food and our culture. Peth

I feel cooking and preparing food is an art and this lady must be a true artist. I love food. I like how Laotians eat food with rice with their hand. We Mexicans eat food with tortilla.
Thanks for visiting Laos Mark Wiens!! So brave to try all those exotic food, some I wouldn’t even try lol. Like the bloody duck salad. Those are considered a delicacy btw. So cute when you speak Laos language, you were pretty close 😉👍🏼
When auntie made the spicey salad .. lol she said “you were very brave !! “ 🌶🥵.. that’s a true Laotian for you !! Saap saap 😋!! Omg my mouth is watering!!!
Mark I’m an from Australia and have a Thai girlfriend and we love your channel, we are a huge fan of your channel I can’t wait to go to Thailand and eat all that amazing food that you eat .
Mark, you are my new hero! When you ate Laab Leuad Pet ລາບເລືອ້ດເປັ້ດ (and Laab Leaud Mou ໝູ at the Khmu Village), I became your biggest fan. I was born in Savannakhet, Laos, and I couldn’t eat those authentic Lao food like you. You’re awesome.
You're quite a guy, Mark! Bike, duck blood soup, organs. Intestines, plus everything else you consume without flash or second thought. Even deep fried scorpion! We just found your channel recently and can't stop watching. I love travel, so that's enticing but I have too many food issues to travel anymore. Maybe because of traveling. Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, China, Mexico. Multiple times to these places. So you feel that you ever need to detox or go on a parasite cleanse or you don't worry about it? You're an amazing young man. Read your background too. Impressive! Feel badly that you are probably going to get the jab to keep traveling and doing what you do. May the Lord protect you and give you and your family wisdom. ❤🙏🇨🇦
3:12 Mark, you should taste the soup first before you add the chilly powder. Tasting the flavor before and after you add any condiment is also a new experience.
Hi Mark Wiens I started watching your videos not long ago and I just love you, Ying and baby Micah. I am amazed about the way you interact with the people and their food because for someone who was born and raised in US, you are just wonderful. You just make me want to be your guest in one of videos in Asia. I love the way you eat anything and everything spicy like me. I was happy to see you in Ghana, West Africa eating there was meaningful to me because Am from the Ivory Coast and we have similarities in our dishes. You are inspiring me to take a trip to Asia just to eat some delicious soups and dishes. Believe my mouth is watering while writing this. Love from Ivory Coast.
Love your videos, I drive truck between Canada and USA, every day I end my day by watching your videos. And I cook all my food myself, thanks for the ideas of different foods.and Joel is good too. Be well and keep it up.
What I like about your video’s is that you show such unusual foods. My mouth was on fire every mouthful you ate. It feels like I’m there. Thank you for sharing 🌈
I've been watching Mark for a very long time now. Seriously, I think Mark enjoyed Laos food more than any where else. The only time he did these facial expressions are when he ate Kobe beef, the giant shrimp in Thailand and the crab omelet.. Don't get all crazy now, but this is my opinion.
Loved the breakfast and the salad lunch, both at the beginning of video! The monuments and temples are also amazing! Laos seems to be a great country to visit with friendly people.
Padek or fermented fish sauce done well is less fishy and stinky then actual fish sauce. I remember living in Sacramento as a kid and fishing, bring home loads of catfish, carp and crawdads and my mom would make padek with it and sell it , sometimes she puts roasted pineapple in it and it gives a fruity smell to it.. She use to make buckets and buckets of this to sell
