U see there is something called fake cases. Agar aap per fake case hua, joki unfortunately max cases mein bada sabut par based hai, apko khudko defend karne ka mauka hi nehi milega. Koi ase hi instant judgement nehi de sakta. People here in the comments section are intermixing the roles of judge and a lawyer. I know, ki koi terrorist ke upar ese time waste nahi karna chahiye but yeh ek special case hai. I personally think that he has done a pretty good job explaining the "right to defend" factor.
I think everyone should have the right to defend.
U shouldn't be ashamed but feel proud that everyone is getting the opportunity to defend themselves.
Don't try to be so over-realistic that you forget what the actual reality is.
      Peace 🕊️

@@kalpanadeswal4479 thank you 🙏🏻 I feel the formula should be, each episode should value add to the lives of the subscriber in general. 60% of the humongous Indian population of 1.4 Billion earns less than Rs 100/- per day & in light of that weddings of the super rich here spread over a month are a shame. The Ambani wedding is touted to have cost Rs 5000 Crores and counting. We often boast of our impending status as the Third Largest economy of the world but that's only because of our huge population. Even neighbouring Bangladesh has a higher per capita income. Disclosures by the advocate were eye opening for those who still believe in justice. Money & political power rules in India and things have gotten worse in the recent years. I expect scanty penal action in the recent Porsche & BMW hit and run cases. It's a shame we are leaving such a legacy for the posterity. At this rate will our country every become developed???

Very well articulated, Tanveer Sir. One needs to be a lawyer to understand the difference between Defence and Save. The interviewer has deliberately given a caption of 'saving criminals'. There is a difference between the job to Defend an Accused and the job to Save some criminal. Lawyers do the former, not the latter.
Whoever is accused, must be defended within the boundaries of law and as people belonging to a civilised nation, we must uphold the principles of natural justice by providing every accused the right to a fair trial.
We must not believe in Kangaroo courts.
I hope normal people someday understand the same.
We learn each day from you as young lawyers and as someone who has personally assisted you in various cases.

With this logic , why don't you all boycott court , on one hand you are saying that the victim should get justice and then you all come and say that criminals shouldn't be allowed to defend themselves , how will justices be served when there is no trial , the only way justice is served when the case goes into court where both parties provide evidence and a neutral judge judges the case and give order accordingly not when u try encountering every criminal u see without any trial then why do courts even exist?? This is the exact reason why uttar pradesh will never be safe , u can't do anything in the name of "humanity" , this is exact reason why courts exist.

Though it’ll be very difficult but that’s what you have chosen to do !! My job is to save a human life, not to give verdict and just like that his job is to present the best case of his client after that justice or judgment depends on the judge.

Lawyers are vital to the preservation of justice in society. Imagine if an overzealous prosecutor added bogus charges on a person who committed a lesser crime. Even though he is guilty of committing a crime, he needs to be defended from excess prosecution. Society will suffer if he is prosecuted for a crime he did not commit. Even the guilty need representation in a court of law.

both of them were not able to understand this point, that lawyers take on cases of criminals knowing very well that he did the crime and our courts are ok with it, because, we have to decide the extent of punishment there are some nuances in each case that could ease up someone's punishment, now the thing is lawyers at first take fees for finding these nuances so that judgement is as fair as possible for his client but at one point they understand he deserves particular punishment if we are fair but since he has paid me fees i cannot just give up on his case and also here comes the greed part they offer loopholes to client like corruption or other things for lot of money, because in real world money and power talks, its human nature.

      You are absolutely right!
A broken society allows such criminals to run its country!
Our ancestors must have gone through such such oppression, that they must be so tired ..... such a sleazy system has got established, and within our homes we are taught to be moral!

My comment deleted so fast. It's amazing. My father is a lawyer & never suggested me to become a lawyer. It's not a profession for loyal, compassionate & kind hearted people. Only for people who can kill their conscience.
Lawyers are liars as i call them, can tweak the truth for money.
Can even turn the victim into believing, is at fault. Now I know why my sisters insulted me & threw me out of the house, while my father looked on. Because he wanted it that way ,& since there are no other witnesses , he's gotten away with it. And he says it's destiny.

What are you trying to say here? I'd like to know it.
      Thanks.

@@sabkaBaap007 that's something even I'm confused about, as I've obeyed & done everything to please my parents to the best of my ability. My sisters used to behave weird after I got married, they became really private & stopped sharing or being nice to me. After my mum passed away, they became weirder. As it is i never interfered in their life, as they would get really upset if I even asked them to go out somewhere together. I had to move out of the country due to circumstances of my husband's movement, that was great for them, as it was a chance to naturally get rid of me. Long story short, 14 years since my mum passed. As it is there was hardly any communication, 4 yrs. ago, I just went to my father's house to wish my youngest sister on her birthday, she yelled & screamed & threw me out of my parents house, while my lawyer father just looked on. His behaviour has been like this too. According to the podcast, life of witness is the hardest.( some complications)I'm just that. Hence, my destiny.

There were many good people who supported Duryodhan in Mahabharata (Karna, Dronacharya, Bhishma, many more...) they all knew Duryodhan was wrong, but it was their obligation to fight to defend Duryodhan. Krishna could have put Pandavas on throne without the battle. But that would not been fair game.

They chose their personal reasons to support Duryodhan instead of taking side of Right (dharma). Thats the reason all were killed. Good try but bad argument.
