I learn a lot from your videos on the different types of TV's and how to troubleshoot and repair them. Like the way you discuss and show the real world problem then provide a real world solution. Appreciate you sharing your expertise.
I came up on two of the exact same TV's one does this & the other has a cracked screen so decided to keep one for parts & the other just going to change the screen. Just a sweet score for free. Another man's trash another man's treasure. Thank you for your help with the t.v. on how to take apart helped me a great deal sir❤
Great videos as always. I have a "55" of this tv. It had a dim picture, test the backlights and they all lite up, using the tester. All of the ground screws on the boards weren't tight. After I tightened them up, the picture came back to full brightness and haven't had a problem with it since.
I gotta tell ya...that was pretty informative. I initially figured that the problem was going to be at the inverter but.... So, thanks for the tips on disassembly, replacing the LED's and reassembly. Now I'm gonna go shopping for LED's. Thank you again.
Great video Marc, getting loads of blue leds, it’s the phosphorus that makes the led seem white that has deteriorated and crumbled off. They use blue leds now and add the phosphorus top,
Hey Big Dog. Appreciate all the videos and keepin it real. Lots of great material to learn from. I understand how to diagnose the LCD screen, T-Com board, power supply and backlights all thanks to you. When going through the videos, there isn't much talk about troubleshooting the main board. Could you make a general troubleshooting video like you did with the power supply board? Just trying to learn and understand, thanks.
BD I would have ripped all that plastic ish off of that TV before I started working on it..Who knows how many roach eggs and other things are stuck on that bezel protector plastic..Excellent work as usual!!
What up big dog. What^s the name of the led test metering instrument and where can I purchase it and who you like outta the Terrance Crawford and Errol Spence fight?
That takes some of the mystery out of electrical problems. Thanks! My problem seems just a little different. I have the Toshiba 49L510U18 which must be very similar to this one, though I don't think this model is a Smart TV. When I turn it on I get the Toshiba splash screen replaced by the white 2" wide bar across the top with "HDMI 1" visible to help set up the input. That stays on for maybe 3 seconds and then the screen goes dark. Since I only use this TV as a monitor for my computer, when I start it up and the splash screen goes away, I can see the computer beginning to start up, but the screen goes dark before that can happen. Is this the same problem as in this video? What causes the other rows of LEDs to go out if just one row is fluctuating or bad? Are those LED strips available on Amazon or another source?
Have the same problem shows Toshiba for 2/3 seconds then goes off ! I have changed the 3 main boards but still have same problem any advice how I can fix as tv is only 4/5 years old and would be happy to try and fix it what part do I have to replace ?
Have opened the tv it looks like all led bulbs are working but still flashes on and off after about 2 seconds , ordered new led backlights so will replace and see if that solves the problem any other things it could be ?
@@bigdog8882 I’ve opened it up and all the bulbs seem to be working but still flashing on and off , I’ve ordered new led strips for the tv so will see if that resolves the issue

Hi, I have an old Toshiba 32 TV For over 15 years I have a picture for five minutes and then the picture disappears Only the voice will remain. What was she looking for? With the multimeter? there are no inflated capacitors
It would seem more fitting if you buy the LED strips and fix it yourself just like he showed you. Then you could pay him the cost of the labor you saved in appreciation.
@@bigdog8882 yes yellow sticker take it off if ppl still want it then find another spot that's not the front but your absolutely right great vid because of you I fixed 6 TV's with back lights thank you for your vids it really helped me out appreciate you keep on making great content
IDK same reason they leave the tags hanging off their shoes, or wear an afro pick in their hair I guess. I'm assuming it's for a different reason then why they leave the plastic on their furniture, ain't gotta worry bout getting that soul-glo on the TV or shoes.

A job well done sir terrific.
It's quite obvious in the video that the new strip is brighter then the old ones. Definitely worth replacing the whole set.

Just go to amazon or ebay, and search for TV backlight tester. Not sure about the Fight.

Hello Sr My name is Martin and I wonder how much would you charge to fix my tv. It has the same condition. Please let me know
Thank you for the information. Can there be subtitles in Bulgarian?
Actually stickers help cause damage to the bezel when dust builds up under it.
