🤣😂🤣 You had my anticipation level way up, sorry things didn't work out well. We should never quit learning but as long as you're having fun, it's a win.
@@ChesapeakeChris thank you Chris! I'm a very competitive person so it does bother me not to be a factor, but not in an unsportsmanlike way 😂. I am having fun and learning is part of that fun. I'm gonna make it happen in 2025!!! Stay tuned!
Learning to skip has been a life saver for me. Once it gets hotter it’s a big factor. Keep adding new tricks and after a while you’ll have a lot to fall back on. Great video!
@@Eightmile_Drifter any tips on skipping would be much appreciated 😂 every time I try I either get a backlash or I stop it short with my thumb. Thanks for watching and commenting! I'm ready for next season already!!!!
Jeff😂😂😂 1 damn fish was enough for me, I think that was my shortest tournament recap I’ve seen! Well 2024 is finally come and gone it’s nice in your part of the country you can still attack those bass all year round! We are starting to get into our first snowfall here in Colorado now! Jeff you had an incredible year add a first time tournament angler your results are no different than a lot of UA-camrs I watched first time results! After listening to your breakdown of what you want for next year in your preparation and analysis you nailed every talking point very clearly and efficiently! Omg AB’s talking about the knucklehead series the teams from this year are already talking about their preparation for next year so without a doubt you should be apart of that and can’t wait to see you out on the water myself! I hope by then I will have a good amount of bait and lure confidence but mainly it will be so much fun! Until then my brother tight lines take care and God bless!
@@granvillej3316 hahaha glad you got a laugh out of that 🤣 I moved to the south so I could spend more time outside and so you're right, I do have that going for me. I can fish year round and thus practice. I'm excited for the Knucklehead series... that would be so cool! Thanks for watching and commenting. Tight lines my friend!
As far as the tide goes (I’m no expert) but make sure to get your tide information from the closest place possible to where you fish and if the tide is high fish close to the marsh as it goes out fish further out and visa versa, fish with the tide. If the tide is not moving at all, take a nap 😂😂 Thanks Mr. Jeff for taking me along on the tournament trail and looking forward to next year!
@@billreddochoutdoors5968 hahaha take a nap 😴 😂 I'm going to look for an app that will give me "real time" tide and wind information. I wish my depth finder would tell me that. Thank you for your advice and friendship! I appreciate you 👍

Great video Jeff ! I've got a few jigs that I've never touched because I have no confidence in jigs. But just like the rest once I catch a fish on them I'll be good to go. Keep learning all you can but be aware that the fish don't listen to the pro anglers about what they like or where they should be and what they should be doing. Be safe !
@@fishingwithhouse thank you Tim. I've never been a jig fisherman myself but I see that changing big time! I'm falling in love with it, and I think it might be my go to lure going forward. I was thinking about you when I recorded that portion of my video which is why I chose the phrase "typical behavior" 😆 cause you've cautioned me on that before. Thank you for watching and commenting sir!
Sounds like a good game plan for next year. There are alot of great videos on seasonal patterns when fishing lakes. As far as tidal waters, I pretty much found everybody has their own opinions and it was very confusing because one bunch says this and others say the other. I found that making notes on my phone when I caught fish, helped me more. You can find tide charts online for your area but take in account where the tide it taken in relation to where you are fishing.
@@monzsterman thank you sir. That's an interesting thing you said ... I just assumed tide coming and going was the same for all locations at the same time. I'm very curious now about how and when those effects are felt depending on location. Thank you for making that comment. I appreciate you as always! 👍
@yakkittymack i hope i didn't confuse you with my comment. When you find the location of where your tide is taken you have to calculate where you fish in relation to that because the time frame is different, if that makes sense. Example I fish upstream 1.5 hours from where the tide times are taken so I have to add 1.5 hours to my location.
@@monzsterman no, you didn't confuse me, you opened my eyes to something I hadn't even considered. Makes perfect sense once you said it. Thank you my friend!
The big problem I've run into in the effort to educate myself is most good info out there is irrelevant to my situation. There aren't nearly as many fishermen up here in the Northeast as in other parts of the country and we typically only have little ponds and lakes to choose from so all that talk about weather and seasons on big southern lakes doesn't help much. I hope you don't run into the same problem, Jeff. Good luck in 2025!
@@jasonm1884 thank you! I'm going to do my best to learn what I can. Hopefully the information I find will be more relevant since I'm in the south. Appreciate you 👍 as always!
