I understand having a hard time finding specialized grocery ingredients; there are none where I live, either, so I have to drive a ways to get to an H Mart. But luckily, you can definitely make onigiri from home! You honestly only need rice, tuna fish canned, mayo, and a little salt. You don't need a rice cooker, either, you can make the rice on the stove in a pot. Next, mix your drained tuna with some mayo. Then, get your hands wet with cold water, rub a pinch of salt between your palms, then put a scoop of rice in one palm, and make a wee indentation; you'll put a little spoonful of the tuna mix in said indentation. Then, put another small scoop on top to cover the filling, and then using both hands, gently mold the rice into a triangle shape. If you are able to get nori (dried seaweed sheets), take a strip of it and wrap it around the bottom of your rice ball. If you don't have access to nori, then just enjoy your rice ball as it is! Hope this helps, friend!
