I really love the world building in riptide and so I had to make some designs for the Goddesses and therefore illustrate the entirety of the creation story... i guess.

the designs for the goddesses are so beautiful and make perfect sense for them!!! also I absolutely love how Gillion's nose is the same shape as Lunadais'(sp?), as he is her champion and therefore made in her image!!!! this is just so beautifully laid out and the murals look stunning, also the four seas being different colors (completely forgot if that was canon or not) is such a nice touch and a really good way to visually tell a story, especially when Allport moves in and the Black Sea appears! this was also just a good lore refresher and made it WAY easier for me to visualize Mana, tysm for that!!!

Tysm! I’m glad you noticed those details and it’s helps visualise mana. Also I think in the hole in the sea one shot grizzly describes the Sakura ocean as actually being pink and then at the end it turns black but I might have made that up for the visuals lmao

I love how Lunadeiz only faces left or right whereas Aster faces forwards, idk if the inspiration was from the half sun and moon faces or not (like the crescent and sun fused together to make one face? Sorry if it doesn’t make sense) but if so its a really nice touch!!! Your designs are super cool and i love your use of colors!!! Its extremely pleasing to look at :D!!!!!

Tysm!! I’m glad you noticed that, I probably took some subconscious inspo from sun and moon faces but it was more that I didn’t know how to draw their hair from other angles lmao.
But also I think it makes them sort of idolised in the temples and perceived as perfect since they’re only painted from one angle. Like they’re characters to everyone rather than fully realised people, if that makes sense.

I love the detail that the sun goddess is always faced forward so her hair makes the round form of the sun while the moon godess is always at an angle to make a crescent shape

Heres my theroy, i think the sun and the moon goddesses both chose gillion as their champion. Because he can breath water and walk on land, he is their bridge of best of both worlds sorta thing. Idk i feel like it makes more sense then their being two champion's, whats your big theroy?

I love all of this so much!!! The goddesses hairstyles fit so perfectly and I love how you matched all of the colors of the sea, royal ocean is dark blue, sakura pink then black, horsea(southern ocean) and the western sea (don’t know that one’s name) I love this animation so much!
