Good day, firstly I have to give you a hi-5 on your presentation video of the scooter. I bought one and had a few concerns with regards to vibrations etc. However you cleared it all up with your insightful video. All the questions I was looking for was answered clearly. When I bought the scooter I felt very comfortable with my buy, and yes I agree with you that I am blown away with what they had to offer on this scooter. I would gladly recommend this scooter to anyone. Once again a word of thanks for your video. 🙏🙏
I saw all your video's and also those of the amazing Russian guy,so much honnest and very good information,I saw one 2017 with 9000 km,i think,no i just gone buy it,with all the information you shared,i think Ican handle the maintenance myself.Je gebt me duidelijk over de streep getrokken!! Thanks a lot,Francesco!
Hi Peter! So glad I could help you making a decision! 9000 kms, practically new! Lucky you! Enjoy the Maxsym! Have been riding almost all winter... Unstoppable, generous machine! You will love it! Cheers!
By the way thanks a lot for the fule gage explanation,no one mentions it , tank every 200 km with trip meter,i will rememeber!,due to the lockdown i need to wait 2 more weeks before all papers are ok,i just cant wait, but i ordered already many spare parts ,they wait in my garage, tnx Francesco
hello congrats for the video, it's a complete and useful video... I have juste ordered one today, i will receive it next week.. Good brand, Sym in France the garantee the scooters 5 years and/or 100000kms. i hope it did the right choice...
Hi Ludwig, congratulations with your purchase. I am sure your Maxsym will meet all your expectations, and more. A word of advice though. The guarantee is valid as long as you let the scooter maintained by a Sym dealer - which in practice means you will pay substantial amounts of money for doing something very easy. I have let the dealer check it only two times, and never did a "big check". I gave up on guarantee and currently maintaining the scooter myself. Recently changed the drive belt myself, 2 hours of work, saved a ton of money. If you are handy, you can do the same - only exception are the tires, as you need specialized equipment... the rest of standard maintenance is quite straightforward. Enjoy your Maxsym!
Hi Marco. It depends... Max filters very well, and I need to filter in highway traffic often enough. Its stability helps a lot. However, Max is not exactly a skinny boy. So it depends what kind of side clearance you have. One thing I know for sure, it' s not fit for purpose if you need to zigzag between cars in city traffic. It's not agile enough for that, and its curve range is limited. It's also heavy for that kind of usage. Cheers!
Hi Franchesco. Thanks for the videos!. I have you a question. Are you feeling vibrations in the mirrors?... I think that my Maxsym how have more vibrations that before...
Hi Luis, Yes, the mirrors have always been vibrating a bit... It's normal. I don't think Max is vibrating more than before. If you feel vibrations during riding, check the rollers. It might be they need replacement. Cheers
good evening, I also have a maxsym 600i 2014 myself, but I do not want to start now, starter motor or start rails are broken, all ok, I cannot find a starter motor on the internet, do you have an address for me, thank you very much
Anyone had problem with oil consumption? They told me from the dealer that you need to check oil level every 1000km. I'm thinking of trying 20w50 amsoil. Has anyone solved this problem?
Thanks for share your experiences! Have you had any problem with the tractiin of bike? Do you think nota having traction control could be a problem or dangerous?
Hi Javi. Not at all... The bike is very powerful but even pulling it to the max it's not going to get you in trouble... Unless you ride it in a way that goes beyond what the bike is made for. Just a bit of common sense will do. Cheers,
I have the maxsym 300i and even though its pretty great in the city it might struggle a bit on the mountains with my partner. Have you tried it with another person on an uphill? Is it ok or you thing it will struggle? The one am planning to buy has a 33.000 km already. Thanks in advance
Hi! No mountain here to climb, it's pretty flat. And I own a 600, so I wouldn't know... But just guessing, a 300 could struggle. A 600... No, unless in very severe circumstances. If you plan regular trips on mountains, I would look at something bigger than a 300, that's really made for cities... Cheers!
@@francescometalli1004 thanks for the quick reply. Actually, I already have the 300i but am looking to upgrade, and my options are either a more expensive maxsym 500i with 3 cylinders or a cheaper maxym 600i with one cylinder..
@@chrtofirosI would personally go for the cheap option. But that's just me. The two scooters are very different... It's all about what you need, what you want, and what you can. Cheers!
Hello, good informative video, would you know your fuel consumption on the scooter? I'm looking at this scooter as a potential long commuter machine, thanks.
Hi! You can count on an average on 1 liter per 20 kms. But, it greatly depends on how you ride it. City traffic is bad for fuel...As commuter, it's fantastic! Cheers
Max is well balanced, and with good tyres behaves well. It's important however to learn how to control it, as with any other motorbike. I never had a problem riding it, in any weather condition. I did a lot of riding in the rain Cheers
First of all thank you for great blog video! I am interested in buying Max or jump up to motorcycle (versys 650 Kawasaki). Max have some problems in start that i now. 1. Elastic band of filter and filter also. Band of filter some time dont sit well and some times missing, need to check. Filter place, engineer idea to put air blower near at wheel, it is brilliant (sarcasm). All trash coming to filter, and if there missing band, or it damaged, sand fly to engine. 2. Backslash or playing bolt of engine hold. We can see this when putting max on central jack and moving back wheel left to right Max have problems more small problems, BUT!!! This is the best maxi scooter in value/price.
Hi Pavel! The air filter of the Maxsym is a bit complicated. You have the filter itself, but then you have a kind of rubber casing around it, which also seals it from outside air. I recently replaced mine and it was far more troublesome than what I expected. So the old filter must be taken off the rubber mount and the new one must be inserted in it before the whole lot can be reassembled. Not sure why it's made so complicated but... Cheers Francesco
Thanks man, nice video, I'm planning to change my CB500X for something more comfortable, since I'm not riding alone now. Check my channel if you want, take care 👍

Apologies for the late reply... Not sure actually, did not check. But I would assume so.
