Not live? You need to listen and watch to "Manners/Blackhole" official live!!! ❤❤❤ You'll get another special song from the album and Manners again with a great Bass/Drum intro!
Oh yes!!! The live version of these two songs done during the pandemic are just incredible, especially when put together! You will miss omething if you don't listen to them. There is a definite difference in the live versions.
"Manner" is a song about their past journey until then and also their hope and dream for the future. Also, if you read the lyrics, many of the words are the names of their past songs. Look up their prior song titles and compare with the words in the lyrics of this song.
An album, for Band-Maid, as opposed to a single or EP, has to have a theme that the songs fit into. For "Unseen World", there are 2 themes and the original release was on 2 CDs. One for each theme. The themes are "Gentenkaiki -ban", "looking back at our roots." And "Gentenshinka -ban", "progressing through the current point." "Manners" was on both CDs as it was considered a bridge song between the two themes.
Nice observation about the increased complexity of Miku’s parts. There’s also an increase in the complexity of all the parts. It’s part of Kanami’s genius that she always seems to write songs at the outer edge of their ability. The live (from the studio) stream of Manners and Black Hole is really amazing. The MV for After Life is one of my favorite from Unseen World including the great Miku “Don’t say you love me” scream.
Police never found out who stole the $5,000 bottle of vintage Hibiki whisky stolen from the owners mansion he rented B-M...Or the Jaguar & Cadillac that were stolen from his garage & later found burned out in a field.🤷♂️
I think fans have different favourite album, Epic Narratives sounds like the more mature version of Conqueror with sprinkle of everything they've done so far. Storytelling is more epic, as the name suggests, mainly because of Saiki's amazing emotional delivery and Miku's soft voice like match made in heaven. According to those fans who were fortunate enough to hear this and The One, both were tear-jerkers.
Thank you for reacting to Band-Maid. You may react to one or more of these songs: After Life, HGK, Giovanni, No God, Warning, Black Hole, to name a few bangers from Unseen World. Unseen World is one of their very best albums together with Epic Narratives, Conqueror, and World Domination.
I hear that to create MANNERS, KANAMI to a scientific approach to writing a hit song by analyzing a score of hits, extracting key elements, and combining them in this song. There’s a great live performance from the pandemic stream. Check it out sometime. WARNING (the album opener) next.
Great reaction. Miku provides all vocal embellishments on their songs, any cough, scream, trill, and any other sound is her. Thanks for continuing to react to Band-Maid.
@@glenkelley6799 And the little tilt of the head, hunch of the shoulders & smile in the last chorus of "Thrill". 🤔Tho tbh it would pretty difficult for it not to be her doing that in Thrill :)
This and Warning official mv are both from unseen world and are both arguably my all time favorite Band Maid videos! As a matter of fact ‘Warning’ official mv is the video that hooked me.🍺🥴
Good Manners? Oh, yeah! Thanks lead guitarist Kanami for your compositions, and 2nd guitarist Miku for your lyrics, and everyone else for everything else. Like the unique, awesome outro, every Band-Maid song has a touch of class because the Maids have class. A remarkable, important band in so many aspects! "aw, aw, aw, aw, aw, aw, aw, awesome!"Thx, Nate & Casey!
The hands are a recreation of the album cover. They are also symbolically reaching for the "unseen world" in a sense. The original title of this song was "Rule" iirc (possibly "Rules," I don't remember which offhand). They thought that sounded a little too aggressive for the song, so it became "Manners" as in the manner in which they do things/ the rules they follow as a band. Lyrically, it's a manifesto for the band.
It's just straight four Rock!!! When you see the Unseen World album cover the hands in the video will make sense. "Manners" is one of their greatest songs IMHO. It proves getting back to basics is just as good as anything. My recommendation is "WHY WHY WHY!" LIVE studio from a PPV show they did a while back on "Day of Maid". This is one "Instrumental Maid" channel here on UA-cam ua-cam.com/video/8QGEV9y438k/v-deo.htmlsi=4Cnwl70P8d5OAkk0
Thanks gents. The "ah ah ah ah ..." is Miku's evil genius laugh. UW is an amazing album start to finish. A real favorite of mine from it is "I Still Seek Revenge" which is I think one of their more aggressive songs. A butt kicker.
I agree that with Unseen World, the dynamic between Saiki and Miku have reached a new level. Saiki came out of the pandemic stronger than ever and Miku gets more 'space' to shine or both together. And the studio mixes certainly have something to do with it too. But one thing ⬇ was already clear beforehand and is an irrefutable fact... _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Forever!"_ 」 - from *BAND-MAID* - 'Manners' ♬🕊
The ones that have videos are Warning, No God (live), After Life, Sayonakidori (acoustic version), Black Hole (live with Manners before it). I recommend for Sayonakidori doing the album verson first and then the acoustic. Or other way around. It’s amazing. There’s an instrumental out there of Giovanni but it does have singing normally.
In fact it opened up a whole Unseen World for you. The album does not have a title track and this is the only song that mentions the Unseen World. For me, some of the best tracts on this album do not have videos. They are- I still Seek Revenge, H-G-K, Why Why Why Why, and Chemical Reaction. You will discover, that musically, Manners is the odd track on the album. The rest are mainly hard rock/metal.
Warning! & After Life from Unseen World also have MV's, and there are live performances of No God and Manners/Black Hole on the maid's official YT channel, plus an acoustic version of Sayonakidori too.
"Manners" is just another amazing song. Glad you did it, as it has a old school groove to it. As for the albums, I think you two are about 15 to 16 songs into the Maids...You'll need to do a lot more to do album BINGO.😂 But, you could do a whole album review...which would be amazing! If there is no official video for some of the songs, you can just listen to the music track in their "Releases" tab.😃 PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
imho, this is band maid's manifesto - 'manners' apparently means something like - 'our culture, our tradition, our way...' - reaching out -- constantly experimenting, growing, exploring, and seeking the unseen... etc. i like your observations about saiki-miku interactions - miku is not only harmonising but running commentary (facetious hah, haha..etc. - facing off the critics and naysayers) and counterpunching - counter rhythmic as much as harmonic... the sound is more bluesy rock of the seventies to my ol ears. akane and misa manage to make it a groove -
Unseen World is a masterpiece from beginning to end.
My favorites are "Manners," "Why, Why Why," and "I Still Seek Revenge."
"Manners/Blackhole" official live is a completely different experience...and that's what keeps me with BM: every song is worth two "points"
Not live? You need to listen and watch to "Manners/Blackhole" official live!!! ❤❤❤ You'll get another special song from the album and Manners again with a great Bass/Drum intro!
They are a live band. You can understand their ability better when they see it live. They're the best.
Oh yes!!! The live version of these two songs done during the pandemic are just incredible, especially when put together! You will miss omething if you don't listen to them. There is a definite difference in the live versions.
"Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah!" - Miku Kobato
The lyrics of "Manners" describe the way of Band-Maid. The initial candidate of the song title was "Rules", but they thought that it was too rigid.
Manners is a good place to start to realize the greatness of this album.
"Manner" is a song about their past journey until then and also their hope and dream for the future. Also, if you read the lyrics, many of the words are the names of their past songs. Look up their prior song titles and compare with the words in the lyrics of this song.

Unseen World is an incredible album. I didn't see how it could be topped. I can't believe they topped it with Epic Narratives.
I would say unseen world and unleash.

The thing with the Unseen World album is that the best songs don't have a video.

Manners, the title, is a little confusing. It’s like the manner/method by which they create music, rather than like polite behavior.
