This is a mini powerhammer I built, since building it I have upgraded it in certain areas. It works great for a hammer of its size and for the price it cost to build.
The one thing I would change is the slide; instead of relying on grease, install rollers so the slide is smoother and more controlled, otherwise an excellent build!
Look man, I'm just gonna say it. This thing is great. I love that you're using a friction drive "clutch concept" ( if I can put it that way). That is a nice compact machine that doesn't eat up room in the shop and is practical for the application at hand. Great build!
A couple of years ago I started collecting up stuff to make a tyre hammer but gave up when I realized that it was too big and would probably lead to a falling out with the neighbours.
I have been thinking for sone time now that I wanted to build a scaled down tire hammer, your video just cemented the idea. I’d like to see a video of yours moving metal

Crush a piece of scrap wood under it when dry hammering. It prevents stress and premature wear.
Some of the best tools/things in life are simple, elegant solutions to real problems. I love it.👍

That is an excellent hammer! I have a large self contained hammer and a 25lb Little Giant. I like them. But despite the size, I LOVE your hammer!
