    In this video, I would like to talk about articulation. Why is it important?
    When our articulation is not active, our speech intelligibility suffers. Poor articulation gives us a signal - “I find this communication uncomfortable. I’m ashamed of myself, I feel like hiding.” Along with this wish, our articulation wants to hide, too. What can we do?

      @@juru6887 I'm not sure, maybe just talking to fewer people? I used to do a lot of public speaking - university lecturer, TA, conference presentations etc. Now I'm working in the industry and aside from a handful of meetings with normal chit chat here and there I don't talk as much. I've always been a faster talker too which naturally makes it more likely for me to slur my words or get them jumbled.

    I learned two things from. 1st is that it worked!! 2nd is that I need braces. I had trouble holding the pen straight with my front teeth 😂

    My biggest point of depression is this issue that I can't speak loud and clear. Also I forget words in between a common conversation....

      bro can u tell me how did u practice...do we hv to say liii li or read the sentence.
      sometimes when i speak i camt speak the words completely. sometimes fumbling is also there seems like child is speaking

    I learned that people with an overbite need this. When you have an overbite you don’t open your mouth enough and you also speak quicker. This really helps to slow it down and make the words come out clearer.

    It definitely works but you have to keep at it for months. That's the only way you'll become a better speaker and better at pronunciation.

    Holy !!! It works.
    I was having difficulty in formulating sentences for some reason in American accent and this solved my issue.

    Idk if it helped my speaking voice. But it definitely helped my singing voice. It'll be safe to say that this is very useful!

    IT WORKED! Someone I only spoke to on the phone loved my voice and agreed to go on a date 😍.... But ran away before I could say a word or even uttter a hello... Maybe it was the stick in my mouth?!... LEELEELEELEELEE 🤣😂

    This technique is used for speakers with speech deficiencies. They forced marbles into my mouth as a kid for a similar effect.

    Whenever i want speak, first i used to repeat it inside my head, so that i can speak clearly... But whenever one in one convo sometimes i sluttet or speak really fast that the person couldnt understand it, now ill try this... 😊

    You can also use a stick instead of a pen, and ask your buddy to whip your back until you have flawless pronunciation.

      Or even better use straw from the drink bottle. Mine it is not very hard/thick or very soft, so it feels very comfortable and easy to grip on my front teeth and will not fall at all! You're welcome, guys!😉✌🏽

      I think it engages the muscles surrounding the mouth more which im guessing encourages clearer pronounciation. I can feel it in them when I do this exercise

    there is no private space in my home and if my family sees me doing this I will be disowned for sure 😃 so please can I get a way to learn so that I don't look like a weirdo 😊 I really don't wanna be disowned

    Reminds me of becoming a Radio announcer: put a marble in your mouth and read a small script. Repeat but add another marble. After 4 or 5 attempts remove one marble and reread and remove a marble each time. When you lose your marbles you are a Radio announcer.

      @@Vocal_Image Fair enough, maybe she’s not an English teacher. But I’d think that someone who was an expert in articulation would be able to articulate basic words correctly in the language that she chooses to tout her expert skills in.

      It is also an accent. Go get any English teacher from around the world with an accent and they will not be able to hold a fluid conversation while actively focusing on proper pronunciation, just because of their accent.
