- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

There's something immensely satisfying about watching a well come into operation. And of course the mouse escape ramp is always a compassionate touch!
Seriously, we rely on modern technology now, but still looking at obsolete technology operating is satisfying in itself
The little ladder in the water bowl is so considerate 🙏🏽
Yeah I'd hate to find drowned critters in my bowl
When I was small I used to insist my parents left a strip of lavatory paper hanging over the side of the bath so that spiders could climb out. (Now I'm an adult I've realised that not cleaning the bath has much the same effect. Easier, too!)
Now if I’m ever in a survival situation I know how to prime a well pump. Thanks Post 10
Hey, Post. I love the fact that you are always looking out for nature. Very cool 😎
Thank you, Post. Your videos are always great. Your genuine personality is appreciated, greatly.
Stay safe and God bless you and yours.
Those pumps usually have gaskets and washers made of leather. They tend to dry out especially during the off season, but once they've been wet for a while they swell back up. They also make cheap kits to replace them when they get to be in really bad shape.
Post, you are always teaching us something. At least I'm learning. My grandmother had a well and you could only drink from the well. Inside had lots of iron or something. I just know we couldn't drink it.
I remember it fresh, clear, and cold. 😊 ohhh, and lots of pumping..for us kids.
That's amazing, excellent having wells on your property
Thanks for adding the equivalent centigrate/celsius temperatures on screen. Much appreciated. 🙏
Thanks Post! 👊🏻👍🏻Appreciate you my friend 🙏🏻
Your channel is the best
Always interesting watching these short vlogs from Post10
I wish I was as handy as you. Making frog ponds, setting up wells, growing crops, etc. And that’s just on the outside.
Another season comes around. Cheers posty!
so so relaxing to watch .
Good update , interesting 💚🙏🏻🇬🇧
i loved watching you install these pumps, glad they're useful
That was really interesting , thanks post 🙂
This is great content, thanks 👍
What a compassiont young man.
You're a true Horsefighter!❤
Thanks I loved that. I am hoping to have one of these installed on our property. Just learned alot! ❣️🍀
Love your vids!! So sweet the little ladder💝Tnx for educating us🤗
Well......well......well
Darn, I thought I was being slick..someone beat me too it lol
Hi post you’re the king of priming wells by ever saw any you did too of them love from all of us on Staten Island handsome keep up the good work
Hey Post, just curious if you can somehow create your own stream/river, recycling the water continuously, with a larger fountain connected to a larger solar panel, with the bottom lined with gravel. Sounds like one heck of a project but sure would be an interesting series 🤔 💡
Are you going to be doing any more camping videos any time soon? Love those videos, your best work. Keep up the good work
Well, is it that time of the year already.
Great video Post 👍
Cool thx ❤
Thank you
Nice
Midwest Magic Cleaning says Hi!
Those pumps are very cool and back in the day people had a bucket and rope to get water from a well just like my uncle did and the water was clear and cold
Nice going thanks
I think you should make a video of underwater basket weaving we would still find it interesting
Great idea with that screen for the trapped critters!
👏
@ 3:30 We use something similar in swimming pools so frogs, lizards and such can get out also.
Not rubber or cork, it's leathers. And it's suction not compression. When I was a boy one of my chores was to carry drinking water about a hundred yards to the house and I learn then two buckets were easier to carry than one.. Thanks for bringing back old memories. You're a good man. God bless.
How is two buckets easier to carry than one?
@@thewindgamer2607 Balance. One bucket in each hand balance better than just one bucket in one hand.
@@thewindgamer2607 When you carry one bucket it throws off your center of gravity and balance. Two buckets center you up with even weight on both sides.
in montreal we’ve been over 15C for the past few weeks. interesting how south is always colder this time of year
It has to be a great relieve knowing if you need water fast to do something like watering plants you don't need to drag a water hose out when you have a water pump that is near by instead.
My grandparents had a cabin with a pump at the kitchen sink. Cold to wash your hair with!
Do you take request? There is a street in Birmingham, AL that's been flooded as far as I can remember.
Is that well water fit for human consumption or will you get Montezuma's Revenge if you drink it?
It's probably safe but I wouldn't. This is a dog well, meaning basically surface water.
Post 10 👍👍🌞🌞
Gotta use water to get water 😮😮 what would happen if you didn’t have any water 😅😅
Nice, perfect for spring. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Where do you get one of these pumps?
Amazon.com or ebay.com. some plumbing stores not home depot or lowed but supply wearhouse stores
Racoons aren't "washing their hands". That's a human label given to that activity, which actually to moisten the skin on their paws to feel what the object they are holding is....i.e. food or not food.
As a city slacker that has never actually seen a well in action in person, it blows my mind how you just have a thing that makes water ex nihilo, without you having to pay. I'm aware that it's not really ex nihilo and you do pay for some stuff but you get my point.
Definitely cheaper than paying a water bill. Since its powered by you without the equipment. If you have a house that runs off a well, you're just paying for the upkeep of the equipment and electricity for the pump, so if you use a lot of water, it's a lot cheaper than city water, but on the other hand if you barely use the water maybe not so. Pressure tank every eight years about it's going to be a grand. A few 1000 more of the electric pump breaks. The electric pumps can last a long time mine is original and over fifty years old. The equipment running nonstop is barely any stress, but turning on and off constantly is what damages a well system
А может имеет смысл купить держатель для смартфона на голову или на грудь, чтобы были свободны обе руки?
Filling a 5 gal bucket is the easy part ....it's carrying the 5 gal bucket
It's easier if you have one in each hand balancing
Any where that feels slimy means i havent touched it yet 🤭yellow crocs look like cheese 😂😂
When is this, Post. I mean some of your videos are weeks in the making.
Leather. Usually it’s leather.
Do you live with your parents? Whos property is that?
Mine
Hey Post it may look clean but it’s not. I would send a sample to a lab see what they say. Strongly suggest, know what your drinking you can get really sick, keep up the cool videos big fan
I do not drink from my dug wells. Put the drilled well next to it, I do. It's safe
...So, the title of this vid was a lie...
This isn't the first time this pump has been primed or flushed...
Think it's time I take a break from post 10
So if it was brand new, why would I be flushing it, but LOL. The title is not a lie. This is the first run after the winter
