I had the GBA cart but never played Four Swords due to the multiplayer requirements. I remember watching that short opening to the story where Vaati grabs Zelda and I was very intrigued but sadly none of my friends had their own copies of the game to play it together
I had the GameCube version where each person used their GBA as the controller connected via one of the docks for the GameCube (if I remember correctly). I played it with my brother's and we loved it. The overworld was all shown on the large screen, but if you went into a building that would transfer to your personal GBA. It really created a great balance of team work on the big screen and personal exploration on the little screen.
Looking forward to seeing what this game is like, since I'm not really one to gather a group for multiplayer outings I've never actually played this one before. I also had forgotten that early 00's were so rich in Zelda-projects between this, Oracle-games and Wind Waker and Minish Cap. Very, very different times...
7:51 The map concept art comes from the 1991 comic book Bone. It's a map of the valley from the book series. It was probably lifted from one of the scholastic colorized editions coming out during the 2000s.
@@legendaryadventurespod Since this book came out, no one has ever pointed that out. Granted, I never looked too hard at the book myself until the Four Swords season was coming up. But being a fan of Bone, I noticed all the names on the map and realized where I saw all them. It's kind of like a secret in plain sight.
I remember playing the 3DS version with my friend during a Super Bowl party in my first year of college. Good times.
Minish Cap is hands down my favorite zelda. Capcom just knows 2d zelda best.
If you haven't yet, I have the capacity to watch hours of minish cap content.

Ha, didn't expect to hear the name Power Unlimited. Lot of nostalgia for that magazine.
Always loved Zelda stuff and it's a treat to find your channel. Thanks as always

Always love learning about the history of this series! Cheers!

@@Mer.Saloon I did not know that. That explains why it looks so different from anything else. Thanks!

Why not just release the anniversary edition as a budget Zelda item on the Switch store?
Great video keep up the great work. Also to clarify Four swords adventures was also on the gamecube as well.😊
@@captainrag Yeah, I will get to that sequel after the Wind Waker.
I think Fujibayashi and Aonuma should be put on a different series, maybe an all-new IP, for a while.
