I recently completed both the Harry Potter games, they were a lot of fun for a fan of the books and films like myself. I wouldn't necessarily want to 100% them, but they kept me grinning for a long time.
This game is easily the best LEGO game ever made. Which might not say much, but it's absolutely worth taking a look at if you enjoy lighthearted platformers with not much grinding.
Guys i think we found out whats been missing from The Completionist for so long. The interjections! And Brett is literally the perfect man for this job! Those little back and fourth with Jirard had me literally falling out of my seat laughing. Brett, my dude, lets bring Santell in too! WHO KNOWS WHAT WOULD HAPPEN THEN LOL
hell yeah, Jirard. I love you for the sake of only reviewing things at your pace and hardly marketing it in context of what's relevant. Long live the complietionist!
If it's meant to be sarcasm then it wasn't very clear and if you're legit then you're wrong since he did it cause the new movie came out. The complionist doesn't use clickbait and instead uses relevance and pretty thumbnails to get views. He's talked about this on the podcast before,
Could I say Some people remade two projects for it? One is called Pirates Online Retribution. This project is great, Especially since you can play without a 3 hour time limit. And its in open alpha. And the other is called The Legend Of Pirates Online. This is in Semi Open Beta. And You would need to reserve a timeslot. And yes. This project has everything. POR had a delay again. Do you want me to link the projects to you?
Honestly this has to be one of the games I have my most fond memories with. I had finished "On Stranger Tides" at a mall, and because I loved it, begged my mother to let me go to Gamestop to pick up this game. I don't regret it.
I remember when I played the level where you fight Jack as Will and Norrington, I loved fighting the other playable character and occasionally switch characters to more accurately represent the scene. It was pretty fun. 😜
This game means a lot to me. It was the second game I ever truly completed (all 100% of the content), after Lego Batman 1 of course. This was with my mom, back when we used to play videogames together. We only played lego games.
The score was originally from the cancelled PotC game, Armada Of The Damned. They didn’t want to waste the music, as it was already all recorded, so it went to this.
German Marketing department: We have this Movie with the Subtitle Dead Men tell no tales, let's change it to a generic sequel title called Salazar's revenge!
i'd like to suggest... "Threads of fate" if you want a light and quick re-playable game, or of you're feeling balsy and want something bigger than BoTW, go with ... "Star Ocean: The Second Story", 256 endings, FFVII size, 2 capmaigns since there are two main characters like resident evil 2, and just deep as hell. Please do Star ocean, i lent my copy out in the 90's and never got it back, and it's super expensive now, I wanna see it completed!
I LOVE ALL THE LEGO GAMES!! They were so fun to play as a child and even now i enjoy playing them! Though sometimes i miss the lego characters not talking in previous games.
I shared this game with my friend and we spent hours on it together. So much fun and the first game we completed 100% Now we play the rest of the lego series trying to do the same. Thanks for reminding me of some great times.
I found someone who loves the series just as much as me. I played through all those Lego games and defeated each film (same with Star Wars Lego series) and I can't think of one Pirates of the Caribbean Lego set I haven't had.
I don't remember if I 100%, but I remember enjoying this and the LEGO Harry Potter games the most. I haven't played a LEGO game in a good while, so seeing your review really makes me want to go pick one up and just dive in. Such mindless fun.
I 100% completed this game with my dad when I was a kid and we would play it and lego batman every wednesday night. I have so much nostalgia for this game and to this day its the only game i have 100% completed. Thanks dad :)
Ok. Legend of Jack Sparrow was..... serviceable as a video game, done by Ubisoft(when they were actually pretty competent). The one thing I didn't like was Elizabeth's voice actor was AWFULLLL. I really wanted to mute my TV every time she was on screen. It is a fun game to play co-op. The story was hilarious, gotta admit, and it marvels in its own ridiculousness, not even the characters in the game take it seriously. Gameplay was pretty basic and overall it was pretty short, so any levelling up or any growth of the MC would have been redundant. U do unlock combos, however few there actually were. Boss battles were pretty neat. Unfortunately no ship battles, that does suck but movie licensed games suffer from lack of a real budget, but what was delivered was fortunately competent. Unlockables and extras were very disappointing, all you get is a slideshow at the end if you get all the map pieces. Upgrades to your swords are worthless and not worth the effort to search for. So overall, I would give it a 6.5-7/10. It is a fun game to play with your friend on co-op. Just don't expect an amazing story and you'll have a blast for about 6 hours.
I loved this Lego Game so much, probably my favourite I remember years ago me and my brother playing through it and 100% all the content inside - Recently I revisited the game and completed the rest of trophies I was missing and I got the platinum.
AT LAST!! Someone else who is completely unashamed of their love for Pirates of the Caribbean!!!! I'M NOT ALONE!!! Also, the Wii version of this game is my shit. I've played and 100% completed it more times than I'd care to admit xD I love it
I think a fun achievement (granted, I just started the game, so this might be one I'm not sure) would have been that once you unlocked the ride portion, you could fight and then unlock key characters from the attraction. So, you'd make characters such as The Auctioneer and The Redhead playable. Loved this review and the fact that you love Barbossa like I do warms my heart! Great review!
While I can agree that Andrew is the better Peter and that the original movies have quiet some flaws, I still highly enjoy them, yes, even the third one.
Nope. Maguire may be the best Peter Parker but I dont watch a movie called Spiderman for Peter Parker. Garfield was the best Spidey, period. Plus Spiderman 3 was garbage trough and trough.
Although Andrew Garfield may be better, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was Horrific along with Peter Parker not being his nerdy self in The Amazing Spider-Man Series. Who would think that a Nerdy Geeky kid like Peter Parker Would mess with his bully by dunking A basket ball into the hoop while shattering the glass. Mcguire was great in Spider-Man 1 & 2. Spider-Man 3 was "Fine" at Best. If you removed The second half of 3 then i would like the movie more. But I will never like The Garfield series more than the Mcguire series because of 2 simple reasons. 1. The majority of Mcguire films were better. 2. Peter Parker is better played in the Mcguire series I'll never forgive TASM2. I was so hyped to see it back in 2014. I didn't check any scores by critics so that I could go into the movie openly. But when I saw that Awful movie, I was so sad that i wasted my time to see it. At least other Great movies came out that year to make up for it.
I agree with you about enjoying the voiceless Lego games since I feel the lack of voices forced them to be more dynamic and creative with how they conveyed what was happening in the story.
I WISH THEY'D MAKE A LEGO PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES VIDEO GAME; COMPLETE WITH VOICE ACTING LIKE EVERY SINGLE LEGO VIDEO GAME AFTER LEGO BATMAN 2!!!
Dreamin' so give it give it up up up YO Here's how the story goes we find out, 'bout a treasure in the grand line theres no doubt, the pirate who's eye is on it he'll sing I'll be king of the pirates I'm gonna be king. YA YO YA YO HO HO HO HO
My friend got me this game for my birthday and it got me into Pirates of the Caribbean. Actually, the Lego games got me into a lot of things... Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Pirates, Lord of the Rings...
I complited this game 4 times on 100% on my wii and I would do it again. This game was my childhood and I played it all the time. So i totaly had to click the video.
I remember Pirates of the Caribbean Online being really fun. I was really young at the time, though, and of course being an MMO it isn't around anymore, but it was fun at the time.
My favorite part of the first Pirates movie was when Jack Sparrow beat Barbossa to death with a fish while wearing a giant skull head thing, which this game faithfully recreated.
No, the bottle minikits do give a completion reward. In the hub world go to the far right of the level boardwalk to access the harbor. All the 10 mini kits make a small pirate ship from the level that you can ride around in and shoot stuff (such as mini queen annie's revenge) and even have a ship battle with a second player. Blackbeard is best character because electric sword has fast build and confusion projectiles. He also plays an electric guitar.
It’s weird how a lot of different iconic movie series have barley any decent games but the one game that had the best graphics and surprisingly hilarious comedic timing for brick people who didn’t even talk for a long time
The Lego games are always full of fun fan service and I love it! They pack the games full of references and characters big fans will love, and the games are simple and fun enough for more casual fans to enjoy.
Am I the only one waiting for that day that this man completes any of the SMT games (I'm thinking either SMT 3 or Persona 3 FES to start but any of them would make me happy)
This is the first time I 1000% agree with you Jirard. Lego PotC is the best Lego game out there (even though Dimensions is pretty great) and it was so worth completing it the first time I did.
I too am a massive Pirates fan Jirard, despite what everyone else may say! It's right up my street, perhaps it was always going to, my home town is known for it's piracy in History and I even work in a cave pirates and smugglers used to hide booty. SO COOL. PIRATES ARE COOL. :D
I picked up legs pirates many years ago but never really played it because I was burned out by all the Lego games at that point but after seeing your review of it and giving it the "complete it" rating I'm definitely going to go and play it!
Any of you play Lego Pirates? Let me know! And no movie spoilers please! Can't wait to see it
That One Video Gamer Hey can you do another Assassin's Creed game maybe Three because that's free next month on Xbox
i did
Yes, I have! However, I don't remember if I got everything in the game when I rented it.
I'd like to see you try out some more classic PC games like System Shock or Deus Ex.
That One Video Gamer I have, But to be honest, the Lego games get batter as time goes on. Try playing Lego Marvel. It's probably one of the best ones.
Pirates 2 and 3 are underrated. Love those films, even if they’re no where near the fist one.
Second one is the best
i think 2 is better tbh
@@shutupdodo3686 yeah 2 is so good, especially the last half an hour or so on the island...

No way Lego City
Jurassic world
This and lego star wars 3 the clone wars are my absolute favorite lego games.
Lego Batman 1, 2 and 3, and Lord of the rings and dimensions are also very good
Complete Saga is where it’s at. It has the prequels for crying out loud.
"It's just a bunch of people betraying each other and falling over."
Huh, kinda like Game of Thrones...
Except Game of Thrones has a horrible ending.
Love the Lego games, so many good games! Much love Jirard!

Elijah Eck but this episode is put out on the day the new pirate movie comes out he even says that?

I love the Pirates franchise! I especially love Captain Barbosa, and can't wait to see how he plays out in the fifth movie!

POTCO: Pirates Online Was the only thing close to being in the universe for pirates. It was fun, and entertaining.

my friends and I played so much Pirates Online! Loved that we could all sail on the same ship and master the sea together
piratesonline.us/ - Pirates Online Retribution

Anyone interested in sailing the seas again then?
I never got to see the end. To that, I think Disney dropped it do to it never earning money or something. So they went toward the direction of CP.
Lego Harry Potter Collection and Lego Marvel Super Heroes? :)
Diggin' the hat, Jirard. You should dress up more often haha

Dude Pirates of the Caribbean is my favorite film series and The Legend of Jack Sparrow for PS2 is one of my favorite video games of all time.
