Just found you guys, you are amazing and brightened up my day. Had bad hips for 20 years, doctor sent me to gynaecology, endocrinology now waiting to see a neurologist. Physio just gave me exercises which made it worse. I can't queue, my hips start burning. If you could see me now, wrapped up in an infrared pad I learnt from another of your videos which I nearly wiped out my desk as forgot I was plugged in. Anyway tried it on the stairs swinging my leg and what a relief, pain gone and while I was watching the video I had your pad on my back and my back feels so much better. You are brilliant, thank you so much, you have done for me in a few minutes what doctors only gave me pain killers for 20 years. And you made me laugh x

Then this video appears on my phone.

I injured myself doing a Deadlift probably too heavy for my capabilities and I kinda felt like the hip joint compressed popped out. been in pain for a week, and could hardly walk properly, then I stumbled upon this video, had my friend performing the leg pulling, felt like a very small pop and I recovered full mobility in a sec. Not sure this is everyone's case, but really delivered for me. Thanks!!

Revisiting these guys due to hip pain from a tennis injury preventing me from bending over properly to tie my right shoe. A few years ago I was suffering from sciatica that was both shocking (that I had it) and debilitating (I could barely get out of bed in the morning - took 5 minutes of pain and weird sliding off the bed) - I tried virtually EVERYTHING I could until I ran across a video these two had that explained that sometimes lower back strain and pain can come from TIGHT HAMSTRINGS. I'd started, 6 months before, running and walking to get back into shape and I was now in excellent shape and my now 'muscular' hamstrings started tightening up! These guys saved me, and I'll forever be a fan because of it. One hamstring stretcher later and within a day or so I was 100% back to normal. Never been so relieved :-D. Fingers crossed on the hip pain, lol... LOVE THESE GUYS!

I'm 60 y/o and carried my dog around Menard yesterday. She's only 18 lbs but she was constantly trying to jump out of my arms. Well, I had to walk awkward as she put a lot of stress on my right side plus my arms got very tired.
After young to bed, I felt the pain increasing in my right hip. Got up this morning in so much pain, I can't bare to put on my socks. Bending my knee towards the right increased the pain.
I've always gone online & looked to see what experts Bob & Brad had for this pain. And BAM, here's the perfect video & so easy to follow!

Yup, this is helpful. I grabbed a gallon jug of water (8lbs) and tied it to my ankle with an elastic therapy band. Had to get on a chair and the weight pulled on my leg for a few minutes and I'm feeling relief. My physical therapist has me doing various hip stretches on the floor, but the traction gave my hip some relief that I haven't felt in 3 weeks. I know, this requires persistent attention, but I'm glad to have another "tool", to combat the problem. Thank you, Bob and Brad!

My physical therapist did this to me recently. For the past 3 years of severe pinching pain in my left buttock and pain on my left greater trochanter and I T band. Pain is so depressing everyday I felt hopeless with so many doctors and therapy and injections but never pain free. My therapist listened to me worked me determined to help me feel better to improve my life. I’m amazed and feel normal again with no pain. I just found this video and it really works. But a PT is my recommendation before trying on your own.

      @LoveABun 4 роки тому

CINDY SCHOUEST Did your PT have you do IT band stretches for the hip bursitis? If so, did they work? How long before you saw improvement?
I have right hip trochanteric bursitis. The bursa sac is so inflamed and swollen that just gentle pressing on it sends me into orbit. It also seems to be pressing on a nerve because I have numbness in my foot on that side. I had a very good PT tell me that IT band stretching doesn’t do all that much to help relieve the pain of hip bursitis. So I keep suffering. Any details on what your PT had you do would be appreciated.

Thank you Bod and Brad I remember a year ago I had a chiropractor look at my hip and I asked him to pull on my leg not realizing it was a form of traction and he kind of poo pooed the idea and ever since then I've been fed pain kilers that daon't work and then of course surgery. Even though I know I got this from driving for Uber ( the tiny VW jetta's seat was too narrow and too low to the ground ) It's like a tie rod end that needs replacing but this tracion has given me hope that maybe they won't be able to extort me for money for a total hip replacement. I wish I had never left Australia where they aren't motivated by money when it comes to your heath. It should be all about getting better not keeping them sick and in pain so that they can continue feeding you crap. So sad and wrong I feel betrayed. But you guys are stand up guys and made me leg feel so much better. WOW. What I did was I tied one of my mud boots the wall and swung my leg from side to side and it came free and the pain vanished.

For me, it was the psoas muscle that was extremely tight, pulling my hip ball into my socket creating a stabbing pain. Having someone pull my leg was a temporary relief. The fix was using a wooden multi positioning tower which can be found here on UA-cam. Wish I had found it 13 years ago. Even after my hip resurfacing was done, the pain continued which stumped surgeons all around the US. I went to Europe as well. The positioning tower causes your psoas muscle to lengthen over time. Stretching the psoas will not work. Muscles are like rubber bands, they come right back which is why you'll only get temporary relief. The tower is 120 bucks but it can change your life. I used it once and all of my hip pain released. I still use it about once or twice a week as my psoas slowly tightens from the 13 years of being tight from a core muscle injury that mesh was used to fix it (mesh has been removed). I even had a psoas lengthening surgically done which didn't help. 4 hip surgeries and 2 groin surgeries. The tower made the most difference.

What if your hip pain is the exact opposite? I was initially hanging my leg trying to loosen my lower back (which I thought was the issue), but it cause extreme pain through my groin. Core strengthening helped a lot. Now it feels best via stretching and when I do weight bearing exercises. For instance, picking up something heavy and walking with it will give me temporary relief. But seems as I do too much, then it is sore all the time from overwork. Take too much rest, pain from not enough use (I suppose). Can't seem to find the right amount of work and stretching to b completely pain free.

@@Emma-pl9gt - After 3.5 years of total issues, in August 2022 I was told I was bone on bone. My Physical Therapist told me that I would never be pain free through PT and it would not heal.....I needed to get a Total Hip Replacement (THR). I looked into THR and didn't like several things about it. Through more research I discovered Hip Resurfacing, an alternative to THR with MANY benefits over THR.
Long story short, I just got my Hip Resurfaced 5 weeks ago by one of the leading surgeons in the world in the procedure. I flew across the country to have him do it rather than get a THR. Instantly the hip pain itself was gone after surgery and the recovery from the surgery itself has been very rapid with noticeable improvement EVERY single day. By 4 weeks I have nearly full range of motion (which you would not even dare try with THR), and if it weren't for a little sciatic issue I had developed prior to surgery (from being so sedentary) I think I'd have no pain at all since 4 weeks. I walk now 1.5 miles each day with a single crutch (went from two crutches to one on weeks 3) and I will be crutch free next week (week 6). Then I will rebuild my strength and stamina and get back to my lifestyle I had before the hip issue.
Soooo glad I got the surgery. If I wasn't a good candidate for Resurfacing I would get the THR because it would allow the same pain free life just with certain limitations. Resurfacing simply offers the ability to return to ANY activity you want after a year.
Emma, find out if you are bone on bone? If so, get surgery. I do not know a single person who got THR or Resurfacing who regrets it. I wish I could have gotten it sooner or known I was bone on bone sooner.

On the third exercise that you guys showed, I have actually taken a small inflatable ball, slightly smaller than a volleyball or a rolled-up towel in equivalent size approximately 8 inches in diameter. I place the ball as high in the crotch area is I can get it, and then I place a weight on the outer part of the leg while laying on my side. So if I'm on my right side and it's my left hip that's bothering me, I put the ball high in the crotch, and a weight on the outer part of the left knee creating a sort of leverage situation and that helps open up the hip.

I have been told about this exercise/ stretch before but not this many variations😮 My family is riddled with joint problems (knee, hip, back, shoulder)and lucky for us, my oldest sister (me being youngest) of 7 and myself have an extra lumbar vertebrae. Also had a doctor tell me people of European descent, have a tendency to have loosie goosie ligaments 🤷‍♀️ Also hereditary shallow sulka..underdeveloped knee cap/patella hence dislocating knee caps😢 (that my children have inherited )In a nutshell, we’re a mess. Throws everything off, especially if overweight which WAS me. My hips have paid the price terribly. It’s amazing how even just one issue can throw the body off and keep you in pain..yes even if you aren’t overweight, just not AS terrible, for me. Menopause really had me in a vice. A year later, numb, tingle and extreme shooting pains from my hip to my knee. As soon as I would sat down the pain & tingle would ease off. The numbness stayed. Then I started taking tumeric with pepper capsules every day. Within a month all this went away. Now, the numbness have bee slowly coming back, and when laying down my thigh throbs, which makes it hard to sleep. This is now in both hips running down the thigh. I have lost all trust in doctors, who never even tried to find out the cause. I really don't know what to do now. I do know that sugar seems to aggravate the pain I have.

Am I getting all that correct? Did not learn that one in school! (The other leg traction I do all the time.
