    Masala Chai with Coriander(Cilantro seeds)! During COVID we were consuming coriander regularly as it has various health benefits like rich immune-boosting antioxidants, fight infections, helps for heart health, etc. Also, we make chai tea as it helps with my sinuses. So one day I decided to combine both together so we can enjoy a masala tea with coriander in it! I shared this recipe a while ago on my Instagram when I realized it would be helpful for others and now I decided to do a video about it so everyone can benefit from it during a time like this #COVID

    🔺THESE MEASURES OF INGREDIENTS MAKES A STRONG MASALA TEA, YOU CAN ADJUST THE STRENGTH OF THE TEA BY REDUCING OR INCREASING THESE MEASURES
    INGREDIENTS:
    -2 tbsp Coriander seeds
    -2 1/2cup (600ml) Water
    -1 1/4cup (300ml) Milk
    -1 1/2 tbsp Black tea
    -1 1/2 inch Ginger, chopped
    -8 Cardamom pods, crushed
    -4 cloves, crushed
    -2-inch stick Cinnamon, crushed
    -5 to 10 Black Peppercorn, crushed (adjust according to how you like it, adding more will be strong)
    -1 to 2 tsp Sugar, as preferred
    WHY I DO CERTAIN THINGS:
    🔺Dry roasting coriander gives good color when boiling. It also reduces the boiling time of coriander seeds. If you drink coriander dry roast it and see, it will give a nice dark color to it.
    🔺Crushing coriander- If you have made coriander you would know that you have to boil it for a longer period of time. Crushing it helps to shorten the boiling time of the coriander. Since it is hard to boil tea for a long time this helps to absorb the nutrition of the coriander to tea.
    කොත්තමල්ලි (කොත්තමල්ලි ඇට) සමඟ මසාලා චයි! COVID සමයේදී අපි නිතිපතා කොත්තමල්ලි පරිභෝජනය කළේ පොහොසත් ප්‍රතිශක්තිකරණ ප්‍රතිඔක්සිකාරක, ආසාදන වලට එරෙහිව සටන් කිරීම, හෘද සෞඛ්‍යයට උපකාරී වීම වැනි විවිධ සෞඛ්‍ය ප්‍රතිලාභ ඇති හෙයිනි. ඉතින් දවසක් මම තීරණය කළා මේ දෙකම එකට එකතු කරන්න. එවිට අපට කොත්තමල්ලි සමඟ මසාල තේ එකක් රසවිඳින්න පුළුවන්! මෙම වට්ටෝරුව මගේ ඉන්ස්ටග්‍රෑම් හි බෙදාහදා ගත් අතර එය අන් අයට ප්‍රයෝජනවත් වනු ඇති බව මට වැටහී ගිය අතර දැන් මම ඒ පිළිබඳව වීඩියෝවක් කිරීමට තීරණය කළෙමි.
    කොත්තමල්ලි බර අඩු කර ගැනීම සඳහා ද හොඳයි ...
    -2 මේස හැන්ද කොත්තමල්ලි ඇට
    -කොත්තමල්ලි ඇට 2 මේස හැදි
    -2 1/2cup (මිලි ලීටර් 600) ජලය
    -1 1/4cup (මිලි ලීටර් 300) කිරි
    -1 1/2 මේස හැදි තේ
    -1 1/2 අඟල් ඉඟුරු, තලා
    -8 එනසාල් කරල්, තලා
    -4 කරාබුනැටි, තලා
    -අඟල් -2 ක කුරුඳු, තලා ඇත
    -5 -10 ගම්මිරිස් ඇට, තලා (ඔබ කැමති ප්රමාණ අනුව සකස් කරන්න)
    -1 - 2 තේ හැදි සීනි, කැමති පරිදි

    Hi Sueran. These days I drink a lot of coriander with fresh ginger. Not my most favorite drink, but I drink it out of fear.😂. I have also tried out bubble tea. That's a very addictive drink, I must say. Stay healthy & safe.

    hey! I've never tried masala chai. I'm so interested of making one but don't have fresh ingredient. I found my chinese brown stew powder (cinnamon powder 44.8% coriander seed powder 14.4% bay leave powder 14.4% star anise powder 9.2% all spice powder 1.6%). Do you think it is close to the recipe? Should I use it in my masala chai?

      Bay leaves and star anise usually doesn’t get used in masala chai. But you can add a little bit and see. If you can find cinnamon and pepper also even ginger add them to tea, it will give make a good strong chai.
