It is because in a “democracy” everyone is an atomized unit & therefore only care about& can only represent one’s self. The homeless are a minority at the end of the day & the majority simply don’t care

We have, know, more than six hundred thousands of deaths and yesterday the Health Minister said that is better lose life than liberty (do dead people have liberty? I don't know) and during the pandemic the "democratically elected government" only disrupted the minimal health/prevention policies that some local governments did (even the barriers in airports), so this sensation the she described is very very true

Yes, China took an interesting gamble under Deng Xiaoping. Essentially the idea was that China could simultaneously protect itself from a USSR-style cold war _and_ rapidly develop their country by enticing the greed of foreign capitalists.
In this way, China was able to essentially import a gigantic amount of foreign wealth without enslaving itself to the IMF or World Bank -- quite the contrary, they put themselves on the geopolitical high ground by capturing much of the productive capacity of their major competitor: the US.
The fear, naturally, has been that this strategy would lead China down the "capitalist road" as Mao said. What's interesting to me now is that the CCP has not lost control to the capitalists & are now able to countervale capitalist influence & power in their society.
The danger is certainly not over, but it will be absolutely fascinating to see how Xi's "socialism with Chinese characteristics" strategy unfolds.

They need a good idea + natural resources + labour-force with right education + a way to get to the marked + a way of markeding + houses for the labour-force etc etc. Why do some people believe their idea gives them the right to all surplus from the product, leaving no money for education, roads etc. ?

China has a classic mixed economy such as existed in the UK and US from the 50s through to the 70s. It was one of the most successful times economically and sociologically that both countries have ever experienced.
The 100% private ownership model has been a disaster for the UK which is becoming one of the most backward and unequal countries in Europe. Maybe this is true for the US as well.

@@questworldmatrix Is personal discipline the solution? For many it is. But that alone does not explain the problem.
You could say that some elements of our society have cultivated the exact opposite of such discipline.
I would point you to the video from BadEmpanada from within the last 24 hours. The title is roughly about "what inspired the Nazis." There you will find a history of the United States of America in which Whiteness is codified specifically to be *above* the need to consider the rights of others. And today, this other includes refugees, transgender people, black citizens already here, the indigenous people we pretend are gone, the entirety of Latin America...
Where Social Conservatism makes sense? Is in cultivating the discipline to walk with dignity *anywhere,* by insulting no one
Where Social Conservatism has been twisted, or warped in the US? Is where it demands that *everyone* follow *their* prescribed way of life. But lets be honest - that cultural current has been here since the British began their colonies.
Whiteness within the United States is a Cancer of entiltement beyond a lack of discipline. Wish me luck in convincing my fellow pale-skin Settlers to abandon the trappings of such undisciplined, unempathetic, childish behavior.

On China crackdown on billionaires, most apparent with the Tech Sector, a couple of things Westerners will find it difficult to understand are:
    A) In Socialist China, Capital actually has a lot of lattitude to allocate resources and develop Product & Services, BUT, Capital is a tool, and ultimately it has to serve the people, not control or enslave them with lifelong debt, threat of bankruptcy, homelessness, destitution.
    B) In Chinese culture, wealth is pursued and celebrated, but there also need to have balance. Common Prosperity is an exhortation to shift towards this balance. It isn't everyone gets equal pay no matter your effort or output, but a "more fair distribution of wealth". A healthy society is not one where the capitalists have 50-90% of the wealth & resources of the country, but one where the entire population has social mobility and opportunity. This can only happen when people have the ability to build equity for themselves, their families. As such, there's no utility for a billionaire to have his 14th luxury mansion, or his 3rd private jet. But all these excesses, can have huge multiplier-utility if it is in hands of 10000 families.

I grew up in an era of Gregory Peck, Cary Grant, Grace Kelly, Breakfast at Tiffany's (with it's cringeworthy depiction of a Japanese landlord) and the US Moon landing. And now that's all gone. The US brutality in Indochine, as it was then known, was brought home by US and British mercenaries on R&R and attitudes started to slowly change. For good or bad, a sea change is happening - and truth will out.

Regarding ANT financial, it was highly risky lending practice and would be illegal in the US and Europe.
What they were doing was Alibaba had alipay system (similar to Apple pay) where people put money into their alipay account so they can pay for everyday purchases. The digital payment system is 80% of all transactions in China do there are tons of money sitting with Alibaba.
They created ANT financials to lend this money out while giving users 4 to 7% return if they keep their money in the account. But because the money generally moves from one alipay account to another, the real money doesn't leave Alibaba so they can infinitely lend money without collaterals to back up the lending. It is highly risky for the average family if ANT financial fails, and there are no rules to audit or restrict Albans because they are not a bank (i.e. apple pay doesn't follow banking rules).
This also gives powers to Alibaba to do large investments by lending that money to themselves and start to take over other industries, which is why it was the largest IPO in history as investors are banking ANT to go into other industries and dominate with that much capital.
Which is also the reason why Chinese government is moving rapidly to digital currency to prevent private companies to take over this space and put people's money and lives in high risk situations.
