When you tell yourself a lie long enough, you believe it. When you tell yourself a lie long enough, you believe it. As their influence, power, and privileged status wane, they naturally project, and blame China for everything, for their own shortcomings as it is easier to do. They can't stand the thought of other countries that they deem different and less than finally doing better for themselves or better than them, whether it be any countries in Asia/Middle-East, Africa, Central/South America etc. It not only challenges but upends their entire system of beliefs and world views.
That is where people like this lady comes in. Rest assured, cue many more Americans in the future who think like her and will come in and reiterate the exact same selfish and tired rhetoric and talking points in the name of something "altruist."
