Very true Sir. I have been learning English for more than ten years now . As you mentioned in this video it is a complicated and time consuming task. I have already dedicated most of my time to learn and practice English. When I tried to improve my listening skill I began with simple english travelling videos on UA-cam but now thanks to my dedication I watch BBC news and other kind of advanced english videos . Still I have so far to go . I love english language.
Thank you so much. I'm basic English learner you made me to realise there is long way to achieve this. I quoted this one "Language is unlimited". Thank you my Lovely Sir. Your positive is just fascinates me. Thank you
Hi Alex, How've you been ?.
You know Alex, I completely agree with you about the first thing, 'cause it took me about one year and a half to learn how to speak, understand, write and read English and I had to study Grammar and a bit of Phonetics but I did all that in my country and then I had a chance to travel to the USA and stayed over there for almost 10 years and I think I learned a little bit more about the language because I used to practice, I mean, I used to speak English about 80 % of the time, constantly and I used to speak my mother tongue (Spanish) 20% of the time, but that was a long time ago and I had to come back to my country again. Now I'm brushing up on it 'cause I think and feel like I'm losing fluency in the auditive comprehension (listening) once in a while I practice my speaking with some native speakers who come to my country as tourists, so when they say "learn English in 30 days, or 3 months, that's a lie, they say that just to attract subscribers and make money, as simple as that. Thanks for the video Alex. 👍.
Yep. 💯% agree with your post.
This video is a must-watch for anyone learning English. It's so important to know what to avoid to make progress effectively. I appreciate the valuable insights and tips provided here. It's helping me steer clear of common pitfalls and stay on the right track in my English learning journey. Thank you for sharing this wisdom! 🚫🇬🇧💡

The first one is the most valuable. The second I’d say would be “do not get upset, if you didn’t remember a new word right away or forgot”. It’s normal.
Love it! I'm sending it to my students who need it :) I always refer to you, Alex, as one of the best English teachers present online.

Hello Teacher Alex! How are you?
I appreciate your all lessons you make for us. Thanks a bunch to you!
Teacher, I know I'm not active enough because I have my exams next month I have only a little time to cover my syllabus. Teacher, I'm very tensed, I read and forget easily 😞😞
Hi teacher Alex, I have a question . Is reading aloud a good method to practise speaking? I am not comfortable talking with myself although I'm home alone. :)
hi, I am learning English. while I'm watching your video on the youtube I repeat what you say immediately. but I don't have any plan.
Hi 👋
Teacher Alex
I bought your 100, 200, 300, practical English books and I hard studying everyday. it was a great books and a wonderful explanation, I ❤ it! What’s the next going on the book? I expected it.🤩
Wow, thank you! My next one should be available in the next 2 months or so. It will be about common English questions and situations. Stay tuned.
I've been learning English for almost three years and I wouldn't say that I reached an intermediate level 'cause I do it by myself. Sometimes it's so boring to learn on your own that's why I lack practice especcially speaking practice. There are several English courses in my town but teachers who work there are mostly from Africa and their accent is so weird. Shortly IDK how to go on learning.
How much time does enough for listening?
👍
Regarding the first one: that‘s why clickbaits and lessons with tons of information have the most views on YT. „I want it all and I want it now.“
But there are some people who are able to speak multilanguages. So how is this possible?
Exactly . In english .we never speak. You never listen .never practical . English is not progressing well. need to communicate and practice language
It is difficult to learn English if people in the country you live in treat you differently if you speak English. It has become more accepted in the last 10 years
👌👌💕💕
👍🙏
I love canada
I enjoy listening to English, but, when I understand all that I hear.
I have been learning English for fourteen months. This is true - Learning English is a process of many years. "Learn English in 30 days!" - it's a lie. Nobody can't do it that fast.
I know one man, who isn't a native speaker. Before he could speak fluently, he studied English for 7 years! 7 years - day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year. And after that, he moved to another country and he could work with foreigners easily. He was from Ukraine.
Haha, unfortunately, not all native speakers speak like you, so I still don’t understand
Great video as always! Maybe I would also mention not to be obsessed with speaking a perfect American or British English. Of course it'll help you to pick one of them, but learning English goes beyond that I guess.
Good point!
