Every night, viewers can expect: Comedy, humor, funny moments, witty interviews, celebrities, famous people, movie stars, bits, humorous celebrities doing bits, funny celebs, big group photos of every star from Hollywood, even the reclusive ones, plus also jokes.
You would very rarely get a conversation like this with a live audience. It pulsated and was so genuine. I love it. Well done @stephencolbert
A positive side-effect of interviewing people in their natural habitat 😆
She's a hot number, always has been.
I must admit, I think I’m enjoying these at home shows more than the studio ones. I’m gonna miss these shows post corona.
Not quite sure you can call that a conversation, Stephen only got about 20 seconds of that 11 minutes!
This is a total gift!
I love Christine Baranski. Thanks for this treat.
I once found myself standing next to Ms. Baranski in the lobby of the Metropolitan Opera in New York at performance of Nixon in China. She complimented me for the orange scarf I was sporting that evening - a truly lovely woman.
My dude, you've been touched by god.
😧I would get heart palpitations
She just always looks cool, I dont think she even tries
One thing all the zooming and teleconferencing has revealed is that some people (like Ms. Baranski) are just naturally elegant, even after weeks at home without a hairdresser or even special lighting. The rest of us... need more work to look even halfway decent.
I’m hating her glasses 🤓
Yup, she walks into a room and the entire neighbourhood become more elegant.
IKR 🤩
SketchTheParadigm York Can confirm, she doesn’t.
I have adored Christine Baranski since I first saw her on "Cybill." Sooo talented. Great choice to have on for a quarantine chat.
Yes!! That's when I fell in love with her too!
I’ve not seen Cybill; I don’t even know what it is: TV, movie...?
I adored her in Reversal of Fortune and have followed her since that.
Then, she shows up on Big Bang and owns the series.
Love, love, love her!
What’s a gift is this interview.
#Lego
@@JaimeMesChiens Here's a composite (lousy quality video and audio) of some scenes from the "Cybill" TV show with Baranski. Even in these short clips, you can see her range. You can probably find some more examples/scenes if you knock around Google.
Even though the show was supposed to be about Cybill, Cybill was actually one of the weakest characters in it. Baranski could take any line written for her character and make it the most compelling thing on the screen. ua-cam.com/video/ZSCkVvP-aKE/v-deo.html
Cybill was a great show.
eponymousIme So have I. Cybill was the first time I saw her as well! She was a great sidekick!
Why is she so great? What can't this woman do? One of our great treasures.
She’s literally the classiest, most elegant lady I’ve seen
And such a funny lady. Love her!
@@uanejunilhia5396 I agree but how can she look that good and be a grandmother!!
I wish I had a cool yet elegant grandma like Christine. And I wouldn't mind she roaring " The Ladies Who Lunch" upstairs at all.
Wang Tim it wasn’t long ago that I had a crush on her in The Grinch (with the Jim Carrey one) and now she is a Grandma...
Although I hate her character in TBBT...
I wish she was my neighbor.
I see we're all in love with Christine here :P
@@arshad_nazran Beverly's a nightmare xDDD poor Leonard.
Polish power... u wouldn’t know ;-)
I just adore this lady. Classy, elegant and intelligent.
And talented
I met Christine Baranski about 20 years ago in Washington Depot, CT at a private auction. Had no idea who she was until someone mentioned it. She was a delight to speak with.
I live in Connecticut, too.
Does she live in Washington Depot?
That’s such a beautiful little town about a half hour from where I live.
@@JaimeMesChiens Washington Depot is what Gilmore girls is theoretically based on. Is it accurate?
I love that she’s unironically wearing sunglasses during an interview and it is not at all pretentious. She’s amazing
Small Britney I think they are transition lenses.
@@joannadenis3347
Yep
She makes failing eyesight look fabulous, lol! 👍
Ms. Baranski, such an absolute delight. I would party with her!
I love her!!!! Chicago, Good Wife, Good Fight and a few others.
Matt B. And Big Bang Theory - Leonard’s mother as the outspoken psychiatrist constantly analyzing him - hilarious!
And Cybill! She and Cybill Shepherd were incredible together.
She was so awesome in Bowfinger
Everybody has got to check out the “ Ladies do Lunch” video. It’s superb and funny. Audra rules! You go sister! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Happy belated birthday Steve! 🎂👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks for all you do for the Broadway. 👌🏽

This lady is such a class act. Love all her works
Believe it or not, this 30-something-year-old woman is actually 68! She absolutely DEFIES age! (Must have a mirror image somewhere growing older).
@Antonio Fraudchi Death Science Leader Also, a whole hell of a lot of botox/surgery.
@@llewkamiamos6864 boom
@Sweet Serenity Obviously, it was tongue-in-cheek. To me, she looks like she's in her late thirties (or, at worst, early forties).
Yes quite a bit of plastic surgery but so well done she doesn’t look weird she looks like a younger version of herself
68 years old! Holy Crap! My wife’s 67 and looks 20 years older
Yasssss Christine - looking mahhhhhhhvelous Damn 8 weeks of quarantine does the Christine well
Christine Baranski is who I wanna become as a person when I grow up.
I absolutely LOVE Christine Baranski! I love everything she has ever done from Broadway, to The Birdcage, to Mama Mia, you name it, if Christine Baranski was a part of it, I LOVED it! I especially love that Christine is so funny, and classy, and most adorably down to earth! Thank you for bringing her on your show. I would love to see more of her. She is a great guest!
Honestly, Stephen was just as infatuated as I would be.
Yes! This was amazing! He just let her have her space to speak. She wasn't bogged down with forced topics. This is how interviews should be!
I love Ms Baransky! She's so lovable! And she pick ups Legos like all the rest of us mortals! 🤣🤣🤣
Edit: she shines so much confidence and strenght and sofistication and still cracks me up!! Love her! Can she be my third big sister?!?
Edit: yeah, my kids do not want to hear me sing a few specific songs either!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
She's really proud of her grandsons. Love her.
christine i have watched your work in movies for years , u are a true performer
Loved Christine in “Big Bang Theory” as Leonard’s mother! So funny!!! 😂🤣😂
im in love with her voice and how she talks 😭
Considering she is a grandma Christine Baranski is still so witty and beautiful!
Christine is so amazing! I never tire of seeing her.
What a fabulous interview, more like a good chat between friends ❤️ and Ladies Who Lunch was BRILLIANT!! 😍🍷🥤🥂
I love this set-up. Guests get to actually talk and it's wonderful to hear their stories without commercials. Love Ms. Baranski.
Always loved her work and she was delightful on this interview. Being a grandma myself, I really got a kick out of her talking about her grandchildren.
Have loved her ever since I first saw her in Cruel Intentions, what a legend!
Need to add Mama Mia to my quarantine playlist 🙌💯💃🕺
I need to watch into the woods.
Me too , seen it but totally worth seeing it again !
A truly great bad movie. I highly recommend.
The Mamma Mia 2 is better!
I just finished watching MAMA MIA twice! I adore both Mama Mia movies, and she was SO good.
Always one of my Girl Crushes since “The Bird Cage”. Love this woman!
Saw her in Bowfinger again recently. A great performance.
Christine really is a treasure, and not only an American national treasure.
She is also one of my favourite guests on this show because of her way to make even a so-so story really interesting.
Christine Baranski one of the best there is. And that lough from the good fight.
I have been waiting for this interview sine the premiere of The Good Fight. I love you, Christine. You are such an inspired person. Love all your works, especially The Good Fight. I have to say that season 4 has come back to the right track, it’s way much better than SS3. For anyone who has left the show because of SS3, you can come back and watch SS4.
Who doesn't love Christina Baranski? Such range. So gorgeous and genuine 🤗❤
Christine is the best🥺❤️my biggest inspiration💖💖💖
I saw her live in Boeing Boeing on Broadway and she was hilarious! I have loved her in everything I've seen her in. What an absolute delight!
God I love her! So underrated but always the dryest and funniest of all.
RollingPanda I don’t think she’s ever been underrated. She has worked consistently and has been great in every role.
"Small but relentless opponents" - exactly what I needed to hear 😂🤪
I LOVE Christine!
I was introduced to her in Reversal of Fortune and have followed her since.
If you’ve not seen that film, ROF, now would be the perfect time to do so.
You’ll thank me after you see it.
“A pack of Vantage, and some in-sue-lin.”
Christine is now 68-yr old and so beautiful. Always so beautiful.
“I spend most-of my life picking up Lego.”
Gurl, you’re my spirit. 💖
What an amazing actor!! Absolutely love hearing her tell us about that recording she did !
I love christine baranski, stephen thankyou so much for brining her for the interview
How's your son, that guy called Leonard?
"Well, Leonard's younger brother, Michael, is a tenured law professor at Harvard, and his sister just successfully grew a human pancreas in an adolescent gibbon."
Not that its all about looks, but how does she look so glam in quarantine? BTW, I agree, a national treasure, and always glad to see Christine in anything, and she has always been fab in the Good Wife/Fight.
I watched it and I couldn’t help but open my bottle of “birthday” wine.
I enjoyed Christine’s performance in Mamma Mia. “I’m old enough to be your mother!” Lol
Also, Meryl Streep went to high school with my great uncle. They had chemistry class together.
Thank you Steven! I’ve see Christina often, but never in an interview! Also, thank you for your incredible humor during the darkest period of 45.
Love love love Christine Baranski and especially The Good Fight! ❤️🇨🇦❤️
Love Christine! She made me laugh so much in Bowfinger with Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy.
She was hysterical in that movie.
this was such a lovely interview. love her!
Thank you, Stephen, for having Christine Baranski on! I'd love to see the whole performance of "Ladies Who Lunch" with three such iconic artists as Baranski, Streep and McDonald! Wonderful segment. Loved it and the Elmo segment as two your best. Keep well, Stephen, and best wishes for your family/crew during these difficult months.
Delia O'Riordan it’s on UA-cam if you want to look it up!! It’s INCREDIBLE
An utterly elegant woman . Movies, tv, the stage, she handles all of them beautifully.
She's ageless and timeless!
my favorite segment ever! i love the intimacy of this platform. i'll miss it when it's gone.
Christine you are so amazing!
she is fantastic ♥️
Sam Ash- yes! I got my clarinets from there ( I’m a native New Yorker) . Thanks for keeping me smiling!
The poster girl for good dentistry/dental hygiene (I make no assumptions)...
I was so blessed to see her in Sweeney Todd ,with Brian Stokes Mitchell, At The Kennedy Center some years ago...what a talent 💜💙💛💚
Christine is SO GOOD in 'The Ref'. If you haven't seen it you might investigate.
I wish I had Christine as my girlfriend. She is as classy yet down to earth as they come. And lovely!
I'm 37 years younger and I feel the same way.
Who remembers her as one of the camp counselors in Addams Family Values.
One of USA's best performers. She is underestimated for so long. Coolest grandma on earth. Aging back
I love the Good Fight!
I love the season where they compete to be lawyers on impeachment trials.
Beverly Hofstadter! 😍 hmm should I rewatch TBBT from the beginning now 😂
I saw this at the time but so glad to find it again!
I loved loved her in the show Cybill!
Elegant, a class act, so talented!
She's calling Sondheim "STEVE" I'm screeeeeeaaaaaming
He's known as Steve
brilliant adaptation, needs to go viral.
She truly is a national treasure. She totally kills me in Bowfinger. Also, she's looking great!
Stephen, you are Johnny Carson-level calming. Your genuine humility, intelligence, and humour is beloved around the world. Thanks for existing.
love her laugh
Christine Baranski is Amazing and Beautiful. Love Her!
STEPHEN so good of you to invite the lovely Christine Baranski/Martha May Whovier/Beverly Hofstadter!!!
I love her!
I love Christine Baranski.
I loved the good wife and have waited till now to start watching the good fight. I love it.
Oh uau! Love them singing like that!!
Auntie Mames Daycare....fabulous....
What a treat to listen to her!
I just binged watched the first (and only season) of Happy Family - of course Baranski is marvelous!
"Sophisticated, witty, drunken types." Yup, that's about right. So many aspire, so few achieve..
Idk what kind of grandma everyone else has but I can ABSOLUTELY imagine my grandma screaming that
These interviews are so much better than at the studio, stay at home!!
"The great Christine Baranski" !
Happy birthday Stephen Colbert!🎂
I'm in the middle of an Edith Wharton collection, so I'm ahead of Christine Baranski. That's a win!
What are you reading?
Quarantine has been great for catching up on that.
I just finished The Plot Against America (brilliant and terrifying,) and started Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
Re: Wharton
What’s the name of the book where the protagonist is Newland Archer? Love the book, but cannot recall the name.
She was great on Cybil👍🏾👍🏾😊
Hello from Buffalo !!!
Love me a good stinger.
Cheers Miss Christine !
What a gracious and beautiful lady 😌
